On the one hand, yes, no signal and poor situational awareness. On the other, the driver that's using the dash cam was bumper riding and also sat in the poor guys blindspot. My guy was probably so focused on making the lane change that he didn't notice the asshole behind him undercutting. And he was probably trying to get out of the way of the guy bumper riding him in the first place. And if said asshole hadn't been bumper riding in the first place there would have been room for both of them. Just drive defensively and keep an eye on the jackasses that drive like they're 2 hours late to their funeral.

The cam car had all the space and time to pass on the left (like you're supposed to do). But instead he decided to tailgate the dude then try passing in the right lane. Then he didnt break when the car cut him off, causing the accident. I hope he didnt show this video to his insurance because at best both drivers are 50/50 at fault. They were both stupid and both got what they deserved Edit: I guess it happened in Australia so he is supposed to pass on the right. It's always important to check your mirrors before changing lanes. You wouldn't believe how many people never check their rear view mirrors before backing up or changing lanes. Completely oblivious to what's happening around them.
It's really something that the vehicle was going slower than the right lane. Could have easily accelerated to pull into the sizable gap between the two vehicles in the right lane, but instead slowed down. Really just seemed pointless all around.
