SPTA the velcro is the first thing to deteriorate .

I've been experimenting with different pads lately. I recently tried some SPTA pads on Amazon. You mention 3 pads for $20 bucks vs 1 premium pad. My lake country pads cost about $12. each. Maybe $10 for 3" inch ccs foam pads. I got the 3" SPTA pad kit on Amazon for $20. 8 pads and a brush for $20.!! 5 foam pads,1 wool, and 2 microfiber. Does the velcro hold up? I've used them and washed them over 4 times now and they're doing fine. I have a Maxshine buffer that I bought as a backup to my Griot's G9. The Maxshine pads that came with the buffer look like the SPTA cross cut pads I got in this kit. And the foam seems like they're the same. It wouldn't surprise me if they're made in the same factory. Chinese products are manufactured like this. I'm a pocket knife collector and a bit of a flashlight geek as well, and many of the brands are made in the same factory with just different names. Not all products made in China are the same and so you have to rely on reviews,ok? So,the foam on these SPTA pads aren't as good as Lake Country have proven to be. But,they're close enough, and factor in the price, they're a better deal. I just ordered some 5" SPTA pads,5 foam pads,1 wool, and one microfiber,for$21. I'll see how these perform. If they hold up like the 3" pads have, I'll be happy. I'm not a professional, but I do have many many hours of experience on different cars. My wife and I have had Infiniti's for many years. And unlike Nissan,Infiniti's have very hard paint. After years of trying foam and microfiber,I decided to try wool. It did the trick. With Meguiars M100 it's a bit messier. But it cuts way better. And the cheap Chinese wool pad that came with my new Zota 3" buffer has worked and held up as well as the purple Lake country wool pads I ordered. I wish I knew what brand this was.
Now here's a link to the SPTA pads I've mentioned. For guys who only do heavy paint correction once a year, and minor scratch and swirl removing every few months, these cheap kits are worth the price.

Glad you're having great results with the pads! We go through 2 to 3 cars a day for correction and paint enhancements so pads can fail or start showing signs of wear very quickly. That's why we're willing to pay the extra cost even if we we are able to get just a couple of cars more or a few passes more out if a pad.

I have over 50 spta pads none failed with great abuse in multiple vehicles and one step paints. I have big brand name pads 20+€ each that start to fail after 2 cars

I gave you a thumbs up even though I disagree with you. I still think you did a great review. My Spta pad adhesive has not failed at all, now going on about 8 to 10 paint corrections and enhancements. I changed them out about every three to four body sections and I give them a little time to rest before I rip them off. Yes, I am a weekender and not a pro and I'm sure that's part of it. Time is money to the pro detailer and you don't have the time to play around. I guess my biggest complaint is that they seem softer for each type of pad and don't cut as hard as I expect them to. But you do get what you pay for and I realize that.

Spta actually do some really really heavy cutting pads but they do fail especially on long throw polishers as they put a lot more stress and heat into the pads

I wasn't impressed with the hexlogic pads at first. I was using the orange pad with Meg's 110 on my porter cable and wasn't getting much cut. I just tried their yellow pad on my new Rupes LHR15 w/ Meg's 110 and it removed some really bad imperfections. Poor results were probably due to wrong pad and subpar equipment. The yellow pad is a beast. PS the green and yellow (quantum) are on sale rn on amazon for $8.95.

    • @danlc95

I have never had good results with the orange pad. They seemed to require a lot of pressure to work. The yellow was better than the orange for sure.
When I started using the random orbital (PC 7424xp) I bought the kit and the green was the stand out. I used it with Ultimate Compound and got a ton of work done with them. I'd finish with the blue and Ultimate Polish.
Green with the Ultimate Polish was a great "one step."
I've had the Rupes system with my Duetto, LHR21ES, Mini, and Nano with their pads and polishes. I use the Uro-Fiber and Uro-Tec pads mostly these days, but I think I'm going to go back to the Hex Logic /Meguiar's Ultimate / Porter Cable 7424xp this season.

Maxshine High Foam pro pad failed on me quicker than SPTA! Pad flew off the polisher velcro stayed connected lol 3rd use. SPTA's newer pads with hole in center last the longest. I have SPTA pro pads that look like RUPES and Ive used them over 8 times for sure and they are still good. I do hand wash my pads after every use and I let them air dry I don't machine wash or dry any of my pads at all

Great video. Have love hate relationship with polish pads. 1 they are all overpriced 2 they don't last very long 3 finding which pads are best bang for the buck 4 charging enough for machine polishing to make a reasonable profit.

      1) We use both microfiber and foam pads. Fiber for cut foam for finishing
      2) we use 5in and 6in pads
