@Neocon Ingsoctrination I played all the time with my friend and we could never make it past that either. Eventually in college I found a ROM and gave it another shot. Apparently when you stop making ALL the mistakes and have quick save, it can be done. :)
Fair, but the way thar Friendly fight starts I think works way better. The drum line at the starts helps with the feeling of beingntossed into this war, and the melody signifies the beginning of an adventure.

Funny thing, this appear before of Friendly Fight in the Sound Test. If put correctly, this should've been Player Phase 1.

Everyone here should check out the PC Engine CD soundtrack to Langrisser (this game)--it's this in redbook, awesome!
