@Nunya Bidniss I'm almost certain it's just the good ol' tried, tested and true YM2612. If you want to hear an actual performance, you should check out the PC Engine CD Version of this song. ruclips.net/video/LDWnk9wKpcw/видео.html
For real. Baldorov/Volkoff’s last moments? This was the soundtrack. First appearance of Lance? Guess whats playing in the background? I honestly prefer this version to the mobile version
Some 'undiscovered' musical gems, considering this whole AMAZING game was overlooked in the mess of 90's RPGs.Strategy games were very underrated back then.
Stage 12 was a nightmare the first time through this when I was a kid. That fucking wizard and arch bishop combo on the right, and that level 9 wizard and his insane archers on the left.
The Mega Drive version is best to me, and not because of "nostalgia", but the PC Engine version, and even the mobile version (slightly) somewhat- have too much going on in them, and seem slightly rushed. Whereas the MD version is nicely paced, which to me, makes it sound more urgent, and a battle between good and evil. The start sounds like it's introducing a very dangerous, and important enemy, and how difficult the battle will be. It then starts to sound more hopeful, and inspiring, introducing the good, and sounds more neutral at the end.. I would love to hear a metal cover of this track one day, it sounds like it would be perfect for it..
YAE!!! I REMEMBER I USED TO SPEND SOME TIME ON THE FIRST ROUND OF THE GAME AND LEVEL THE MAIN GUY UP...IT MADE THE REST OF THE GAME EASIER ^^ but it took time lol not that long tho lol nice game. ^^
I remember the first time I freaked my friend out by demonstrating the first battle was beatable. You still flee the castle for some reason, but I had that place under control. :)
Yeah, but they still have to run because the enemy will just send more troops. They have to stop it at the source and the castle is falling apart anyway.
@TrevHead10 I remember going from west, counter clockwise around the keep, zerging everything up to the elementals. By that time the King was tanking them, and i would carefully pounce on the weakest ones with hero units that could actually kill a few, then fall back and heal while the king held on. Eventually the wizard was all that remained, and went down easily
i only ever managed it 2 or 3 times as a kid with the real game but i did rely on saving and loading. Like i said it depends on how long u can hold on your east flank, long enough for you to kill everything on your west so u can reinforce against the wizard with his elementals. the serpent knight can be a bitch on the south aswell. also the best thing is to give your swordmaster 8 troops since he has better cmd bonuses
(sorry as thisis a bit of a necro) but did u ever manage to kill off all the baddies in stage 1? it is doable but allot of it is up to how well the npc sabre (plus the other npcs) fights
oh the KEY to that is the emulator lol i cant do it with da real game and i cant find it anywhere in store :( but yae i think its possible in the real game but it will take many many tries and it would be 90% impossible lol yae with that help, i beat all the generals and stuff and didnt flee ^^ i used the red armored dude to damg the leader and til 2 hitpoits and i come in and kill ^^ fun game ^^
Gotta love the Megadrive bass sound. #fuckyeah
+villevn seriously. It's the most iconic sound of the era imo

My tears came out when I heard this.....
Good - I wasn't the only one...

It was sad to see Baldorove die in the last moment, the guardian is finally gone, Ledin will have to grow up. It was my saddest moment of the game.
Mine were too...
I just start playing Langrisser 1 remake and I’m a retro gamer and I just love the soundtrack from the 90s ❤️

in america they were not so much in japan
@@imthethriller in america most strategy gamers in the 90's were using real computers not consoles. kinda like today actually.
I actually played this before playing Shining Force. Loved this game and bought the remastered game as soon as it came out

"Oh oh oh oh ah oh oh oooohh..." 9-3
What you hear when you take on a very formidable opponent.
GLORIOUS!!!
The battles were long. Like really long in this game but the music made it that much funner
Time to fight back!
Anyone else ever use Calais' archers against the wizard's soldiers on the right side of scenario 12? I swear they slice right through them!
NICE golden ARMOR

wish they would do an ocremix of warsong. I bet it would be badass
and they did
Still the best version of this track... Why do rearranged tracks always sound worse than their original tunes?
reinforcement has arrived!!
