I know that this thread is old, but you can bypass the delay between banana throws by pressing a direction, then pressing Y again. I remember discovering that on my own as a kid, as well as the bush high jump trick (walk to a bush and press B as soon as you touch it and get damaged), and some others, not shown in this video. I wasn't doing any speedruns or smth, it's just that this game was my only game for SNES for several years, because there were basically NOTHING SNES-related in my region and the console with the game was a gift, posted to me from another country, and I had no other game systems, so I knew that game like the back of my hand :)
I remember my mom buying me this piece of shit after I told her to "buy whatever" for my birthday present. Fuck this game. One of the worst platformers if not the worst platformer I've ever had the displeasure of playing. Wish I could go back and just tell her to get me Super Mario World or Donkey Kong Country 2, dammit.

The auto-scroll level is the hardest! Man, it has tortured me when I was a kid. The only thing good about this level is the music!
