My husband is an engineer. I told him not to pitch his blueprints because I was going to use them in junk journals. He gave me the funniest look. I love the paper they're on. And I have huge rolls of plain blueprint paper to play with..... wow you can make any size page you want lol glad to see that I'm not the only one that thought of junk journals when looking at blueprints.
I absolutely would!
LOL, my husband looks at me funny all the time when I tell him not to throw things away. Now I know what I'll start doing with all that stuff. I guess I'm late to the party on junk journals and glue books.
Dawna how many people would love to have blueprints for their journals. You should sell them on Etsy.
Gather, Create, Live with Leslie H. I’ve been saving cereal boxes and frozen meal boxes. My husband knows the routine now 😆
Jj Hi Gail I am recovering from major heart surgery and colon surgery last year within three minutes apart of each other I said watching you and I was recovering your program in real life I’ve always been a so-called self-made artist if you can call it that I love art love everything about art but watching you have made me feel so much better because I realize that I do have a knack for something and you just brought it so true to me and it’s funny how life works when you’re down in about someone or some thing comes into your life that brings you back up and I think you for that I thank you for your program hope to see more of your shows I watch the daily
Thank you for your kind words!! ❤️
I am still in transition from Maryland to Texas. I have about a tenth of my supplies here but I’m still crafting ephemeral and an example book!😁I just wanted to step in and say- Please stop and take care of yourself. We love your crafting but we love YOU more!
You are so sweet, talented, real, and fun. I wish you were my neighbor! Thank you for sharing your creativity with the masses and inspiring so many! Blessings, Gayle! :)
Your voice, the paper cutting, your process really is therapeutic! I'm so relaxed now. Thanks so much for sharing!
This was a fun video. Love watching these. TFS
Oh Gayle I find so much joy in listening to you talk! I feel like you are right here! I hope your shoulder feels better soon! Thanks to your sweet husband for helping you! TFS❤️
I'm so glad that I am not the only person who places things somewhere for safekeeping and then can't remember where I put them LOL I love you Gayle, you always brighten my day.
Love you back, Robin! Thank you! ❤️
I’m enjoying your process!
Oh my gosh, the vintage books are so BEAUTIFUL! Now I gotta grab some from grandma for my next book
Love the cutter!!!!!
I love it! 📖✂️
Thanks for the inspiration 💕 I am looking forward to see you start and hope to craft along with you. Sending gentle hugs for your shoulder and prayers also for quick healing💕💕
Thank you for spending an hour almost every day with us. We appreciate you soooo much.
Thank you Gayle for showing us your glue book process. Hope your shoulder feels better. I know how it is when you can’t find what you need. It happens to me all if the time!
I hope your “safe place” is kinder than mine and gives up the books. Looking forward to seeing them. Thanks for sharing. xoxo
This was very inspirational! I know how to use my larger books and calendars now! Thanks!
I love creating with you! I worked in my glue book while you did this video. Thanks, Gayle!
Oh Gayle...I once misplaced a sewing machine so don't feel bad about your missing books! Now please take care of that shoulder!💕
I have done just that!!! I'm beside myself.. lol. I have the foot pedal but have yet to find the machine.
Melissa Funkhouser We are something, aren’t we? Same here. How is it even achievable? 🙄
I know where they are!! Like me you put them somewhere safe!! LOL!! If I'm right, it'll be awhile befoe they surface. But the glue book series will be a blast anywho... I adore all you do!! You help me stay crafty.TFS! ❤ XO Namaste. xo💜xo💙xo💛xo💖xo💚

lol It’s so frustrating when we put something in a safe place, where we can still find it and possibly see it but when it’s time to use it we can’t find it anywhere.... it’s like it just disappeared or someone broke in and had no interest in anything else but the item(s) I placed in a safe place. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
This makes me want a glue book Gail! I love the children’s books and pages!🫶🏼
I just started a glue book! I am so excited to see this and learn!! I am using a Martha Stewart Living magazine that I glued two pages together then covered the pictures with plain white paper and decorated all the edges with washi tape. For my next glue book, I am going to make one like you are teaching here. I wish I had got one of those super cute recipe books but I got Mountain time and pacific time mixed up, LOL.
What a great video. I never would have thought to use all those calendars in that way and how you put together two pages together is another thing I didn't think of. Great ideas. TFS
Watching you craft helps to calm me down after a busy shift, you do beautiful things, tysm for sharing
Gayle, I just LOVE these glue book videos. I'd love to see more. I've watched them a several times over. 😂🤷🏽♂️
Hi, Gayle,
This is Ellen from Colorado Springs. Watching you every day brings me joy and makes me happy. You are so transparent and real, I watch as often as I can. I'm new to paper crafting and the world of Junk Journals. I'm especially excited to learn about glue books! I can completely relate to your post office story and worrying later if I was abrupt or rude. You are just so real. I love it. Keep rollin' the good times.
I found you from Ceri Griffiths channel he had a link to your channel. I am a gluebook person and to find junk journals on it is fantastic I'm going through this series much love Ann x from UK 🏴
Love the blueprint idea. My husband is a specification writer and is always throwing out boxes of blueprints from old jobs. It’s like an unlimited supply of paper-yay!
Gayle you are such a treat to watch and visit with!! Love these, thank you, please take care of your shoulder hope it feels better soon ❤️🌹
Oh good, I have just noticed that you have found them, what a relief xx
That Arabella mag is EVERYTHING!!!
I pray your shoulder feels better - we have to craft! It was so nice spending time with you today and always.
Love little Keeko like the pictures. Never seen him in Sweden but Goliat was one I remember from my childhood. This series are so fun to follow.
Thanks so much for taking us on the process of making these. I have come across rolls of blueprints at our local recycle center but never thought of using them in a journal. I love the idea of the glue book and hopefully this weekend I can get started on one and follow along with you. I do hope your shoulder gets to feeling better. XoXo
Recently started my own glue books...these are great Gayle...great ideas n tips
Love these! Can’t wait to see how they end up! My husband has many blueprints but not sure he will give them up.
Maybe make some photocopies? Not the same as originals but it'll give a similar look.
Love ALL your projects - very helpful for me !
TFS! If you make any more glue books, I would definitely buy one. Thank you. That ARABELLA is a beautiful Canadian magazine and not cheap!
I love all that you do Gayle. Please take care of You. I hope your shoulder feels better soon. 😍
Hope your shoulder feels better soon Gayle..love the pages your using for the glue books..love those covers too...
Love the idea of making a glue book from scratch.thanks for the idea
That was so fun...hope that shoulder gets better quick! You know I put thing in “safe” places and then can’t find them too, it’s very frustrating. Hopefully they will pop up sometime soon. Take care of yourself, we kinda like you!
I love the suggestion of the ugly scrapbook paper. I was just tearing out all the pages that’s like journal cards today and thinking what am I going to do with all these ugly pages. Thanks and I can’t wait for the cover decorations.
I am so glad you are doing this series as I wondered what was good to put in this type of glue book. I have only made them using a magazine years ago. Hope your shoulder is better soon.
Good luck with the book finding... and although my shoulder surgery wasn't as extensive as yours ... I SO can relate having the pain & need to ice down... my thoughts and prayers are with you. Thanks for all you do... I appreciate the videos and jus you.. I craft & laugh with you every day. 😆
Hey So sorry to hear about your shoulder. Thanx for the info, very good! Take care Sara G From Western Australia x
Thanks dear, Sara! My shoulder surgery etc. was awhile ago. I’m perfectly fine now! Thank you for your kind thoughts! ❤️
oh gayle.....now i just want to make fun signatures! thanks for sharing your glue book process with us. i'm going to sort thru my books, magazines, calendars, etc and get them lined up to make signatures, i think i'll make some glue books for a few friends. i'll have to bind the books doing a pamphlet stitch since i don't sew, think i will do them like a travelers notebook. i hope your shoulder is better, dogone it! Bengay is fast becoming my "signature scent" - lol rest up and take care and do let us know when you find those veggie books.
These books will be bound with a 3 hole pamphlet stitch too! ❤️
I have fallen in love with glue 📚. I been watching videos. Im inspired
Oh, and your nails look so pretty and your laugh is darling. Great postal lady story too. You know they have to pass a test to get their jobs there...yeah.....okay....
Oh man...I have a desk covered in commissioned prayer journals that need finishing and you have me wanting to throw it all to the side and start making junky glue books! 😍😍
Wow! That magazine is gorgeous!! So is that montana calendar! One of my boys is stationed over seas, so lots of packages. Have one pretty good lady at the P.O. and another that seems to give me "trouble" every time I go in, no matter what it is! grrr.. and she has been there for ever? Idk, but it is annoying.
Hope your shoulder gets better fast.
Take care Gayle. Hope your shoulder is better soon. Tfs the process. xxx
I love that washi I that you’re using 😂
Your shoulder might be hurting because of the weather. I had shoulder surgery years ago and had part of my collar bone taken out. They also removed a lot of arthritis. But that lovely arthritis is back and the weather always affects it. Especially the cold. Hopping you fine your recipe books. They will be in the last place you looked! Hahaha! Really enjoyed this video. I’m seriously considering a glue book.
Jet Wasik True that! Cold weather really gets my ortho injuries shouting!
Patricia Rider I know the feeling! Mine are not happy this time of year either. Plus the osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. It’s all one big pain. Lol. Hope you feel better!
Glad to see you are using my blueprints! Yes they are large 24 x 36 inches! But lots of fun!
Yes! Thank you Elaine!! I’ve heard from a couple people that they’ve gone over to your shop and grabbed some for themselves. Yay! Thanks again for the happy mail, my dear!! ❤️
Gayle, yes I got one order yesterday. Threw in a few extra pages. Going to try and make more rolls this weekend!
I love your videos! I would love to see how you stitch in the signatures into the book. Maybe you have shown that before but I still haven't seen it yet. Your voice reminds me of my special sister in law and even your laugh makes me picture her. You are delightful. Thank you for all of your great ideas.
Thank you, Lola! I think if you search RUclips for Gayle Agostinelli Sewing in Signatures, you’ll find several videos where I’ve demonstrated it. Thanks for watching!! ❤️
Great beginnings!
I had that Make It Book when I was a kid
Gayle, I’m logging in just to leave you a comment… hope you didn’t forget me? …I have been just lurking on the big screen for the last 7 months(due to surgery I had on my hand) Carpal Tunnel and trigger finger release. sorry it’s been so long for me out of circulation. Just wanted to say, take care of yourself friend! I’m so thankful for all your videos and just to let you know I care about ya. I hope to get stitches out of my right hand, next week and am hoping it won’t take as long for my left hand… Sending bug LUVnHUGZ, Rita Donnelly.
Sorry about your shoulder take care of yourself. I love the new cutter I got one to with a 60% off and Christmas gift card I love it. Loving the glue books.
You are a pure joy to listen to and watch. Just found you and have subscribed!!
Aw, thank you!! Welcome to my channel! I’m glad you are here for all the fun!! ❤️
These will be so fun!
Arnica Montana cream for your shoulder pain; works wonders for any aches and pains and helps it heal! I get mine on Amazon on a subscription for way less...hope you feel better soon! I love your videos and your conversations! Thanks 🙏🏿 for posting.
I know this is older, but I love watching all of your videos Gayle. I found it funny though that you said the washi you used to tape up the pages wasn't your favourite. (the one with the stamps on it) It is my most favourite washi ever and I hoard the roll I have haha. Love that!
I hope that shoulder gets better quickly! I love that cutter! I got one a while back and I would be taking to a daughter on the phone while cutting something and I start telling her how much I love it! It I have had quite a few cuttere over the years and this IS my favorite! I do have to bring out one with one of those orange blades once in a while if I want to be more fussy, like cutting to a specific spot. But, cutting two layers of chipboard at a time. sigh... just like butter! LOL! I did put a line of black permanent marker on the very edge of that plastic guard. For some reason, when just using the edge as a guide, not cutting to measure, I have a hard time seeing that it is straight before I did that! Plus, I saw last week that you can oil the track! I just added a drop of sewing machine oil on the track and ran the blade back and forth a few times and it is even smoother! Mine is usually folded, stored on a board on top of a short bookcase and it is most often all I need for what I do. Oh, for more flat spots in my room!!!! LOL!
I agree! I need more flat spots too! ❤️

Dear Gayle, I have the same crate of vegetable books and there are 13 books in mine, there is room for 14 books and I have mislaid one as it was too hard to get back into
the crate, so yes you should find your missing three books somewhere! Good Luck, hope it doesn't take too long xx
OMG! I forgot about Keeko. What memories there. Such a fun idea.
Hi Gayle, Sorry your shoulder is bothering you, hope that feels better soon! I was so disappointed I didn't get one of those cute recipe books Sunday but maybe next time. I absolutely love watching your videos! I just think they're wonderful and so real. On that note I want to apologize... I watch your videos daily on my TV and never comment. I watch your videos so often everyone in my family feels like they know Gayle. When they've had enough and I have to share the TV everyone says mom tell Gayle bye.. lol. Oh and btw I got that same cutter for Christmas and LOVE it! Hugs until your next video.. 😊
Love the convo and page making
Hi Gayle, I’ve just come across glue books and they really do look like a lot of fun! I’m enjoying watching your process as it was interesting to see what types of papers can be used in glue books. I’m hoping to try it myself! TFS 💕
How fun!
I'm glad you found your recipe books! I do this frequently myself! It is often worse, AFTER I clean up. heh
I'm new to this … wow so much to learn and I have lots of the supplies. But can't help but wonder where you keep all this 'stuff', LOL. It is taking over in my craft room. I want to make one of these for my almost 16yo granddaughter for her to journal in, color, doodle, etc.
Gayle, I love all your videos, they are so inspiring but you must look after yourself. I hope your shoulder is feeling better very soon. Thank you for all your video it’s great to see so many different ideas.
Gardening magazines give great pages, too.
These are cute!
I recently moved an item, thinking it would be a better place for it. Now I can't find it at all, and I've looked everywhere! I guess it's safe. So I feel your frustration and I hope your books turn up soon.
This is a snapshot of my life.
Take care of yourself because we love you and your videos.
hey Gayle. You have too much going on all at once lol.Have you checked in your fridge!sometimes when I am not thinking right i put whatever is in my hands at the time in the fridge and the milk in the cupboard..what is funny is when your husband ask why is this in the fridge, then laughs at me..We all have those kind of moments, you are not alone.you will find it when you are not looking for it..loving your glue books.
So sorry to hear your shoulder is acting up again- I agree, hope it is just a minor issue and nothing major!! I truly hope you find your little veggie booklets-- I am really looking forward to doing a craft with me from start to finish on them!!
Loved the video can't wait to try my own. "I'm sorry I hit you" had me howling 😂😂😂
Great tutorial. I will watch the other parts too, because I still don't know what a glue book is!!!! Lol. Hugs.
I know just what you mean about your safe places! I’ve started calling my safe places....never to be found again places! Lol.
I hope your shoulder feels better. I do that too - put things in a safe place and then can't find them. Usually I put them in a drawer or any flat surface that is clear.
Oh gosh, my heart just broke seeing some of those beautiful vintage children's books dismantled and broken up. The art in those old books and on the covers, the cover materials themselves, the stories, rhymes and poems, and the paper printed on is no longer used. Children just love reading out of them and looking at the gorgeous artwork.
As an avid reader, I appreciate your perspective. I only use books that are one step from the trash. Better to repurpose and give them new life, than for them to end up in the landfill. ❤️
Ah HA...a fellow bibliophile!!!
Thank you so much for replying to me, Gayle. Old vintage and antique books are truly treasures of a time long gone and never to return. I thought you were tearing them up, but thank you for rescuing them and saving what you can!
I can see how pretty these are, but the book lover in me is crying at the way she has pulled apart that book. A book that would be a great part of someone's collection. I collect books like she is using and some of them I have paid 10.00 and up. But like I said, what she has made is pretty.
*here in Knoxville tn there's an amazing used book store that puts books they cannot sell or accept in trade out in a large bin nearly every hour for free...people wait around this bin to snag the best ones when they are put out...haven't seen actual fights but arguments are not out of the question*
Im in Knoxville Tn to and you are talking about McKays used books
I absolutely love watching your videos. I even talk to you. I measure the same way you do - 2/8" < 12" LOL
Feel better, Gayle! Hugs!
Awesomeness I love this video. Thank you for sharing. Where is your papaer cutter from.
I am very Intrigued. I have many Golden Books I don't know what to do with? Thank You Lisa Well wait they are pristine. I will watch Both!
Oh my goodness! I can SOooooo relate!!!!! Our house flooded last Tuesday and it looks like a war zone. The flood extended into the closet of my craft room, and the attached bathroom. The restoration crew has been gutting that bathroom for the past 2 days. Everything in my closet is now in a pod, and all kinds of other things have been crammed into my craft room. I have 5 special orders under construction and I can't get across the room. I also can't find anything! Crafting is my 20 minutes a day of bliss. I can deal with losing 1/3 of my house as long as I can craft! :( Would appreciate crafting prayers!
Oh so sorry! Plumbing problems are THE worst!! Sending good thoughts for quick restoration and big hugs! ❤️
Bless you! i have a bad roof leak and I just havent been brave eough to go up there because I am afraid to go and sssess the damage because I had soooo mych of my dearest crafting stuff stored up there...I can relate! Hugs to yoy!
YOU TAKE CARE MISS GAYLE-WE LOVE YOU,AND WANT YOU TO BE WELL-I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS-YOU TEACH US SO MUCH-TFS-HUGS/PRAYERS/BLESSINGS
Hey Gayle! Boy! Can I relate to the “Where did I put that? I just had it!” I knew you showed the veggie journal when you did the post about the Etsy shop Farm stuff. You taped it on a red and white gingham cloth...could they be with that? Good luck!
Did you ever find the books? We all do it 😉. It’s our “too many tabs open” brain. Hugs for you and your sleep & shoulder pain. I’m loving this gluebook start to finish. Will you please have a lot of great Gayle tips when you sew in the signatures. I can’t seem to perfect that.
Found them! They were in a very safe place! Haha!! ❤️
Gorgeous pages you've got to work with here! I'm "jelly"!
Hope you feel better soon❣️❣️❣️
hi gayle, i'm not even half way thru watching and had to stop to go back and look for the video where you shared the "Vegetable Box of books"! i finally found it (january 5th) i paused the video and counted as best i could and it looks like there were 14 books....maybe the ones you kept are in the box they all came in? hope you find em! ok-back to watching xo
Jenny thank you! I was going to do that and now I don't have to! 😊
@@barblydell9800 hi barb, your welcome! and now we know gayle did find them. hooray!!
