I am making these to send to dear ones, and to hand out at the nursing home. I will enjoy making them and giving them away! Such a great idea! Thanks! I know this is an older video and you might not get this message, but I really am having fun being a new artist in my retirement years! Love This!
Jackie Gfeller
Awe thank you 🙏 so much Jackie, I still love making acts in this way... I usually get any notification so glad you took the time to write me a message =D Thank you again!
it's messy and way nicer than other "neater" ATC tutorials I've seen. Actually very inspiring, not intimidating and makes me want to give it a try.
I also loved how you've tape the cards at the beginning and I'm thinking it could actually be fun to decorate the cards while still taped to each other and only cut them at the end (like something would start on one card and finish on the other...)
Lols I have to be the messiest crafter our there.. lols thanks 🙏for watching
taping them together is a great idea... thanks for that.
Thank you ☺
I love the down and dirty quick way of doing this. Its a wonderful way to get alot done quick which is wonderful if you need a bunch for favors or trade.
Stephanie Sams

Love the view into your process. Art is often messy and non-linear and full of serendipity. Thank you for the inspiration.

Sept. 23 '15......Sorry that I'm so late to the party, but, better late than never. I took your playing/ATC card idea and have been having a BALL! I played finger painting with them, and made a huge beautiful mess. I have a personal color pallet, which I used, and smeared my favorite colors all over, being careful not to make mud, then smooshed (a very technical arty term) them together and carefully peeled them apart and OMG, what beautiful results....once side one had dried, I did a similar technique to side two, with equally stunning results, using a slightly different color selection with the addition of some shimmering gold. I LOVE THESE, of course they took forever to dry, but I laid them out on an old card table...get the connection...oh, because they were taped together, I turned them into a house of cards, so they could dry properly....now they're dry, I am VERY happy, and just a moment ago, I noticed a wee tiny tiny fairy looking back at me from one of the designs on one of the cards, so I simply had to help her come out and play. Oh, she brought her very fancy pet slug with her. THANK YOU - THANK YOU -THANK YOU! lol
+MandyOf Marymac Oh very sweet, thank you for messaging me i like to hear this =D
MandyOf Marymac :) thank you :D
MandyOf Marymac I kinda want to see the fairy and her slug lol
Hi, I didn't realise ATC cards were popular again.
I live in Derbyshire UK and was in an ATC club, we used to make them an swap them with each other by mail. I have some lovely ones from all over the UK.
Dee Little
Dee Little
Yes Dee, that’s what we do very cool, everything seam to comeback ... especially the good stuff... lol thanks for watching!!
Ilene McInnes .....sadly it's not so popular now since the Post Office raised the price of stamps ..... Spoil sports!!!
It's not a cheap and cheerful hobby now and although the packages were small the postal weight now goes on the thickness of the envelope, so it meant no high embellishments.
You've wet my appetite to do some more watching you, refresh my memory please Ilene on the correct size are they 2.5 X 3.5 inches?
Dee x
Very true that is a sad thing makes sharing harder. think the size you have is correct..yes! maybe we need pop up atc's...lol have fun creating =D
Very nice! Love the idea and I can’t wait to try it!

The idea of connecting the cards together with the tape is just such a great idea. I never ever would have thought of it.!
Thanks Crystal =D
Just found this video, this is a great idea to do this. But I would have also done the collage, and decorating and so forth before I cut them apart then it seems like you would get some real interesting things.

Hi there. I'm new to ATC'S. I've got a pack of playing cards and I measured them. They are slightly smaller than the standard size of ATC'S. Not sure whether this matters or not? Fab cards btw.
absolutely love this video. Would it be possible to get a piece of your work? I will love to have some of your cards, I will even send you a deck with an idea and see what you come up with when you send them back. Would you do that for me?
+Michele Myankazt I sure can do that for you Michele, My Address is at the Bottom of description And don't for get to add ur return address so i can send it back =D
What are ATC cards I'm a florist but I do crafts as well. But I don't know what they are and used for.
Chríty Bevín
They are card 3 x 5 inchies and we art them up and artists trade them like swapping cards we make
I really like this idea for ATC;s! But I can hardly hear you. Had to turn up my volume to almost 100%.... and I don't have to do that for other videos. Is it possible, when you are recording, to increase your volume? Thanks so much for your ingenuity!!!
thanks Vitoria this is an older video =) my newer one are much better =)
Hi!! Thank you for sharing your talents! I can wait to use your techniques and watch your videos. You do beautiful work. I am new to this and am very curious about your work surface. Is that a piece of glass? And what is underneath? Do you mind sharing why this is a good choice? Thank you for your time!
I do like using a glass cutting board filed upside down, and I took off the picture under and just have it on a bamboo place mat. I find it clean easily and heat resistance.. Glue and paint just peals off. Thank you :D
Okay, thank you for your time. Happy day!
You're very welcome :D
I love it but what materials do you put on I can not see it since the camera is on the side both forward and back
Just beautiful project - can u tell me where u got the little girl stamp? She is adorable🤓
+Rhonda Shields She is an old one from Stampin up. Thank you Rhonda for watching =D
I really like your ideas, but could you please show the results a little longer in your Video? That would be the highlight 🤗
hello they are very pretty, I've never made any ATC cards, what they are used for.
Pam Thompson
Hello Pam, thanks for watching this is an older video I'm so quite... lol I love to make Atc's to swap with other Artist and also I like to fame them in a 5/7 frame they look cool on the wall. You also can make pocket letters I suggest to google them that are great so swap :)
I'm fairly new to the art community and I'm hoping you can explain what the ATC's are for. I get that ATC = Artist Trading Cards but who gets them and what do you do with it? Can you help?
+Jennifer VanHoy Hello Jennifer,An ATC is an Artist trading card it is 3inc 1/2 By 2inc 1/2 so same size as playing cards.you decorate them in any way you wish to show your work to others and triad with others =D
It is so fun to triad art like this and feasible to sendoff anywhere around the world .. Hope that helps =D xx
+Ilene McInnes (Creativity Artistry) thank you! 😊
I love this idea I could not hear what you put on the cards could you please let me know what they were I would love to try this I am now going to be a faithful follower awesome art girl I'd love to have one of your ATC be blessed
Thank you Teresa, I scraped old paint you know the gloppy ones that are kinda thick and on both sides .. lol i use a few colors usually that ether blend well or pop depends on my mood..lol then add book paper or music paper some stamped images and wording and call it a day. this was an older video with my phone or ipad and often i had the mic facing the wrong way, Thank you for watching =D
Are you still doing videos I did subscribe to you I'm having an awful time making these cards I am a new crafter ty
Yes Teresa, I make four to five times a week =D ill remake an up dated one for you it'll help you =D
+Ilene McInnes (Creativity Artistry) ty believe me I need the help
What does ATC"S cards mean? I love them Just don't know what it means. You are a great teacher. Thank you
Karon, Thanks 🙏 ATC stand for Artis Trading Card so when you agree to make art cards and trade with some other artists you can collect from all over the world, they are not meant to be sold just traded with those You make swapping agreements with. Thank you for watching appreciate your support 😊
