Even though it's been a year since you've did this video out I'm glad I found it. Been trying to breed my Corey's but without much luck. Made a mistake of getting a all cotton mop and cutting it down. Cotton fiber all over in my tank had to change everything. Can I wait till the barometer drops and try it again.
Great! Good luck! I'm still breeding different kinds of Corys :) Recently - pandas!
My black corys mated on a regular basis with me doing ansolutely nothing. I loved watchig them wiggling around.
Thank you.
Great result! Congrats!
Thank you :)
What a great update Matt and who doesn't love baby fish of any kind, congratulations on your breeding :)
Hi Tracy. True, baby fish are just wonderful :) I just can't get enough of those little guys.
I’m so excited for you!! I just started breeding red sailfin corys and it’s so great watching the process. I haven’t tried the spawn mop yet. Mine have been breeding at the top of anubias leaves at the water surface. I also have been doing it in my main display tank so they to have a natural environment.
Thanks so much for sharing your video!! 😄
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :) Good luck with your red sailfins!

I don't know if this was intentional, but this is what I heard haha
It wasn't intentional - but it's perfect! LOL! :D
congrats my friend, I'm so happy for you to the result, have a great weekend, like 26
Thank you :) I’m glad you liked it :)
Triggering mine, I feed them frozen bloodworms once a day supplemented with some hikari pellets in the morning to fatten them up. I keep from doing water changes (check parameters often) so that i don’t “unnecessarily” trigger them. I have RO water that I use for water changes. With them, temperature doesn’t matter too much. New, clean, softer water… and increased flow will help a lot!
Very good video. I've raised and bred many types of Cory Cats. I use a NET breeding box for my eggs and Fry. I attach the box very close to my HOB (Hang on the back) filter. Allowing the water to flow through the netting material. But not directly into the box. I have great success that way. It keeps the eggs clean and oxygenated. I have Julii Cory Cats now. Not quite adult, but looking to breed them soon. Thanks for your update!
Thanks! Yes, I heard that people go for net box. It helps a lot because you don't have to be worried about water changes etc. I will experiment with a lot of different approaches :)
Added water & 4 pandas now 24
I have been waiting 🎉! Thank you! I am waiting for my Similis to breed my 10 gallon tank is very similar to your tank. Except I have a mystery snail as well in there. Also do you think you want to try an experiment? I heard ppl have kept neoCardinia shrimp with the eggs. They will eat all the fungus off the eggs and turn them as well. Maybe u can document it for us.
Yes! I heard about this and always wanted to test that! Maybe I will try this one day (I have some shrimp). When I do, I will definitely create a video about that ;)
Great step by step video. I'm trying to breed hasbrosus cories, they are fun but not interested in breeding.
Thank you! Yes, I always wanted to get habrosus! But they were not available in my area for a long time. Now I know where to get them, but don't have the tank for them :) But that might change soon :P
Can you show how to breed cardinal tetra
Mine started breeding immediately, they're the best! They need perfect water conditions, I never change the water and they absolutely love it!
That is awesome! Yes, Cory breeding process is so cool, never gets old!
@@AquascapingCube yeah although I'm nowhere near as organised as you. My Rummy Nose tetras hunt down the eggs nearly immediately. One day it'll happen naturally 🤞
Beautiful fish, very nice arrangement, sub for you, hello welcome to yt👌👌👌
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
Ecellent
Thank you! :)
Been trying to breed sterbai for a year now done everything you mentioned in the video no sign of breeding. They are all about 3 years old I have 3 female 4 males and they refuse to spawn.
Make and update for the nano shrimp tank
I will. But this tank doesn't change that much.
My trillineatus cories have started laying eggs just two weeks ago after i grew them out for a while. They have not stopped spawning haha. I have to remove 50-100 eggs at least 3 times a week😭 and there’s only 5
Yes, once they will start - there's no stopping them :)
Unfortunately, blackworms are hard to get and very expensive now. My fish breed much less.
I do well with hydrogen peroxide as an anti-fungal
I’m getting 9 corydoras and I’m wondering if a 151 liter tank is good for them?
It should be fine. In tank of that size I would go for 7, but 9 should be ok.
Hello i have julii cory also. How to identify male and female?
Females are noticeably rounder (fatter:P) and a bit bigger in general. It's best to look at them from the top, you will see the difference around abdomen area.
hello. can you please tell me what grain does the substrate have?
Hi. It was 1,2-1,8mm river sand.
@@AquascapingCube if the substrate is 0,8-2mm is good? and how tall need to be?
@@sorinandreipopa8860 Yes, it will be fine. 2cm of it should be ok.
@@AquascapingCube thank you. appreciate😁
i wonder how old they are and what about size? i have some and i cant wait to see spawning
answer me please😅
I had them already for 1,5-2 years. They were about 5cm, females were a bit bigger. Good luck with your breeding project!
@@AquascapingCube thank you ❤️
Can someone please tell me how to get my corydoras to STOP spawning? They lay eggs every single week and sometimes there's hundreds! I have no place to put the fry.
Use low water pressure filter
@@Chik_plays I'll put my filter on the lowest setting and see if that helps. Thank you!
Separate the male and female
@pet-cave I have 10 corys since they're shoaling fish so you can't just keep them by themselves
My Cory Doras breed without any effort, it's amazing
That's awesome!
What’s your setup? Been having such a hard time getting mine to breed
@@EricSolomon462 I had no intention of breeding them, noticed some eggs and tried collecting them to put in a hatchery but then the snails got in and ate them so I gave up. To my surprise about a month later I saw the first baby fish, then there were 10 babies so I upgraded from a 10 gallon to a 30 using the syphon to move the babies. The adults started laying eggs and again and the snails ate them. I raised the temperature from 72 to 78 and they stopped breeding so I'm inclined to suggest a lower temperature to breed them. I've got no more advice because I didn't intend to breed them so took little notice of the parameters other than temp. Best of luck
