The original upload of this video had an end-piece that was a debate about the presence of Duke's character in the overall picture of things. My answer to why they did not take advantage of him was that they quite simply weren't sure of what to do with him without making him seem out-of-character, considering that so little was done with him (even though what little there was was still great). In fact as part of my overall project related to Thomas & Friends, Duke is a major part of my plans as is the Mid Sodor Railway. It forms the foundation stone of a mini-series called the 'Mid Sodor Chronicles', which gives a full coverage of the characters that worked on the old line, framed by the recently-rescued Duke recounting events to His Grace/The Earl who is actively trying to fill loose ends of information. Through this we learn the full story of Duke's presence as a fatherly figure to his underling engines. I am very proud of my effort, which has reached its finalised pitch stage as we speak. More to be revealed. Regards, Samuel Farris.
I love how you explain the whole map for the CGI series of Thomas the Tank Engine from Season 13 to 24. From watching the video their is a lot of stations and towns that is used in the CGI series so I am going to see what railway lines are used in the series and what stations they go to. 1) The Main Line calls at Tidmouth, Knapford, Crosby, Wellsworth, Maron, Cronk, Kellsthorpe Road, Crovan's Gate, Vicarstown and Barrow. 2) The Little Western Line calls at Tidmouth, Bluff's Cove, Arlesburgh West, Arlesburgh Harbour and Harwick. It is run by Duck and Oliver. The other engines that work on the line are Ryan and Daisy. 3) Thomas' Branch Line calls at Knapford Beach, Dryaw, Elsbridge, Maithwaite, Trotter Farm, McColl Farm, Ffarquhar and Arlesdale End. At the end of the line their is a quarry and a walking bridge. The line is run by Thomas. The engines that work on the line are Toby, Percy, Mavis, Arry and Bert. 4) Edward's Branch Line calls at Boxford Halt, Suddery, Sodor Animal Park Halt and Brendam. Within Edward's Line their is Reg's Scrapyard and Whiff's Waste Dump. At the end of the line their is Brendam Dock and the China Clay works. The line is run by Edward. The other engines that work on the line are Marion, Timothy, Bill, Ben, Porter, Salty and Phillip. 5) The Search & Rescue Branch Line calls at Wellsworth and Sodor Search & Rescue Centre. The line is run by Belle, Flynn, Rocky and Pat. It also links with Misty Island. 6) The Ulfstead Branch Line calls at Wellsworth and Ulfstead Castle Estate. The line is run by Connor and Catlin. The other engines that work on the line are Millie, Stephen, Glynn and Luke. At the end of the line their is a dinosaur park and a slate quarry. 7) The Callan Castle Branch Line calls at Maron, Kirk Machan and Callan Castle. Within Callan's Line their is an old quarry where Hiro was left. Their is also the Blue Mountain Quarry. The line is managed by Donald and Douglas. 8) Mr Percival handles the Cludee Fell line which starts at Kirk Machan and only goes to Cludee Fell. 9) The Skarloey Railway calls at Crovan's Gate, the Engine Depot, Cros-ny-Cuirn, Glennock, Rheneas, Daisy Halt and Skarloey. At the end of the line their is the Blue Mountain Quarry. It also connects with Ulfstead Castle. 10) The Arlesdale Railway calls at Arlesburgh West and Arlesdale. That is all the railway lines and stations that are used in the CGI series. It is a shame that lot of the railway lines from the books weren't used in the CGI series and I wonder why Great Waterton wasn't used in the series too.
If the earl of Sodor had been in the railway series own duke then he reappeared in king of railway own Millie In railway series the earl own Duke In CGI the earl own Millie
For the question at the end of the video. I’d say that the walking bridge would be worse than an 18th century styled underwater railroad tunnel. I say this because from my research the first underwater railroad tunnels were bored and constructed in March 25th 1843. But seriously Sharon miller, if you wanted to make Misty Island rescue the movie and the island of misty island, give it a far better reason to exist like what Nick tried to do here. *sigh* How and why did I like Misty island rescue the movie. Oh well. I will see to making my own version that is far better than how she made it anyway. Good video! I really love the map by the way!!! 👍❤️ DANG IT! I wish Duke was in cgi, that would’ve made this era so much better.
I like how he hates the movie, Misty Island Rescue. I first watched it after I graduated high school, and I agree with him strongly. That was the worst piece of shit T&F movie I saw ever 😤 More so than the Magic Railroad.
11:10 This mention/episode make me mad because the actual Barrow soccer team is blue, not red as in the show. If the colors of Sodor and Barrow were simply swapped it would make sense.
I prefer headcanoning that the adapted cgi versions of the stories of the Arlesdale engines all somewhat take place in the past. As for the reason that Duke isn't in the CGI series, i like to think he's away on a very lengthy overhaul.
6:19 - 6:31 I've got an idea for that bridge, maybe that bridge is another entrance to Edward's BranchLine. I got the idea from a guy on deviantart who did a revised version of your cgi map by changing and adding a few things, he said that maybe the bridge is another way of entering Edwards Branchline, so it gave me the idea that that bridge is the main entrance to Edwards Branchline usually used by small engines (but it's strong enough for big engines) and after Wellsworth and Gordon's Hill there is a junction like the one on David Milton's map that (atleast I think) is a bit of a shortcut to Brendam Dock's for Mainline engines that goes over a bridge ( possibly not the three bridges since we never see them in cgi nor are they mentioned, especially since it doesn't have a actual name) and connects onto Edwards line at Lower Suddery like in the model series, this obviously isn't perfect, but hey it's the best I could come up with and atleast it's better than nothing. Keep up the great work, can't wait until all your videos back.
Also in the meet the steam video meet percy it says that percy collects mail from Knapford Harbour, meaning it exists in cgi as does elephant park and the transfer yards and possibly the new branchline and the wharf. I say this because in Emily Saves The World Duncan says he once delivered an elephant statue meaning that the events of The Runaway Elephant happened off screen in cgi and in said episode we seen locations of the new branchline, specifically Rumblin Bridge which possibly the events of The Grand Opening happened too and Rumblin Bridge is possibly near the Blue Mountain Quarry and is the bridge that Luke and Millie take to get to Ulfstead Castle and the Quarry, and since Rumblin Bridge is on the new branchline that means it exsists too. I also say that The Transfer Yards and possibly The Wharf exists because (again) in Emily Saves The World Rheneas says he once delivered a dinosaur skeleton which (unfortunately) means the episode Rheneas and the Dinosaur happened off screen aswell where we see the transfer yards in the episode and it could have a connection to the wharf like on your model series map plus I always thought the transfer yards and the wharf are connected and it feels wrong to have one without the other. I think I've rambled enough now but just thought I'd point these out for you, see ya, bye.

Also Tug to answer your question, the walking bridge is worse. I mean Misty Island Rescue was a disaster of a movie, but a tunnel underneath water is a thing in the real world.
@@TheSpongeBobGuy01 Yeah there's actual facts to support this such as entirely different layouts, histories and overall story adaptations. It's practically impossible to cram both model and CGI series in
@@PeruvianPotato If we're being strict, it's also impossible to cram all model seasons into one canon and all CGI episodes into another one. There are continuity errors in practically every season, like how Wrong Road shows that big engines can't go to the harbour on Edward's branchline, yet in Percy Takes the Plunge we see Henry there. And that's the same season! Does that mean Season 2 is canonically split into two timelines? Of course not, that'd be ridiculous, it just means errors and retcons will always be a thing and they're not supposed to be taken seriously or used as proof of different canons. It's the same with model and CGI series. Also, several people who worked on the show have confirmed it's just one canon. If you disagree, that's fine, but you need to understand that by changing the actual show in your head you're making an unofficial headcanon.
Routes you didn’t mention: King of the Railway: Thomas, Percy and James leave Brendam Docks, goes through Edward’s Branch Line offscreen, then head up Gordon’s Hill. They go down the hill, switch to the Ulfstead Branch and reach for the top to the Castle. Journey Beyond Sodor: Thomas and James leave the Steelworks and go through Barrow offscreen. They then go over the Vicarstown Bridge, through the station and pass the Steamworks. They then continue down the mainline into Tidmouth Sheds. The Missing Christmas Decorations: Diesel 10 leaves Tidmouth Sheds and Percy chases after him. He goes through Wellsworth, passes Maron and alongside the Steam Team follows him into the Dieselworks. The Great Race: Thomas leaves the Steamworks, goes through Vicarstown station and jumps over the bridge into mainland territory. Misty Island Rescue: Thomas and the Logging Locos head through the tunnel but get stuck inside. Whiff and Percy go the other way and free the engines. They then turn around, couple up to Thomas and Logging Locos, and head to the Sodor Search and Rescue Center. Seeing is Believing: Merlin goes over the Vicarstown Bridge and goes through the eastern half of the Main Line offscreen. Then he turns to the Brendam Branch and arrives at Brendam Docks.
I think I can understand why they made Thomas' Branchline two tracks because there are 4 engines working on the line so imagine if Thomas and Percy were on the same track and Thomas is heading to Ffarquhar and Percy was heading to knapford and both of them would be blocking the way also I think a walking bridge is worst because I was looking up underwater train tunnels on Google and saw that there were some so it kinda makes sense

That's probably because they didn't know about the Mitton map when they were making the CGI map, so of course it was gonna be different. They feature model-only locations on the CGI map anyways so it's clear they were intended to be just canon
5:46 Thomas did the same with the Local. Because in the Great Race, when he made his return journey to Knapford, he came in via the front. Thus didnt take the loop
I wish he had also talked about the whistling forest; How big it is, how close it is to the Boxfords' summer home or whether it is suitable for a new renovation.
Its pretty crazy that we only know some locations exist is because characters or loud speakers 🔊 mentioned them in single lines of dialogue, and its a bit funny that the unlucky tug gained a bit of a bug with thomas for doing so 😂 the onlyreason i didnt laugh is because him showing this involved bleeped out swear words!
My head cannon for the walking bridge is over the month they built a more stable bridge and eventually completed a full normal bridge and used the metal from the old bridge and SCRAPPED it. (I agree it's still dumb with the walking bullshit)
1:37 to 1:47 I guess maybe he took the Rescue Centre line as a detour, but when Thomas, Diesel, Den & Dart were coming out the tunnel, the points were set for them and Gordon had to make a stop
Thomas's coaches nearly getting run over by the runaway globe must have been a callback to Rusty and the Boulder (albeit a rather dumb one at that), where Rusty, Skarloey, and Rheneas nearly get run over by said boulder, only to be switched onto another track just in time.
I love that Gordon single handedly supported the existence of several locations with one line of dialog.

Nia works on Edward’s branch line too. And who’s Pat?
33:38-34:48 welp. Duke is now sleeping forever.
If the earl of Sodor had been in the railway series own duke then he reappeared in king of railway own Millie
In railway series the earl own Duke
In CGI the earl own Millie
No he isn’t. Don’t worry, Duke was rescued offscreen.
@@TheSpongeBobGuy01:/
If cgi Thomas still continued then there might be a chance that duke might be rescued plus Smudger
47:14 It Ends :(
15:25 Wait Knapfort Beach actually exist?! And it showed up in CGI?!
42:17 is that the hills' new name or nickname: The 2 Road Hill that isn't Gordon's Hill?
19:47 The Flying Kipper is mentioned, and Henry's tender is missing it's coal.
Tug really does hate Thomas and I love it!😂
Edit: I also love how Gordon says Cronk in " Gordon runs dry"!
I like how he hates the movie, Misty Island Rescue. I first watched it after I graduated high school, and I agree with him strongly. That was the worst piece of shit T&F movie I saw ever 😤 More so than the Magic Railroad.
14:00 the way you say it makes me feel like you are generally blaming Thomas for the whole accident and I agree with that
11:10 This mention/episode make me mad because the actual Barrow soccer team is blue, not red as in the show.
3:33 i saw the white engine
Actually Knapford Harbour does exist in CGI. In "Meet the Steam Team: Percy" Thomas says that Percy's Mail Train begins at Knapford Harbour.
Don’t know why it’s needed but it’s a good explanation and sure does stop me from having a migraine thinking about it.
@Joshua W56 I don't know why either, but like I said these are the best I could come up with, I hope tug agrees.
Okay I have one question why is the Duke and Duchess summer house was not close to hero hideout ? 18:53 here is the summer house on Edwards branch line 26:52 and there hero hideout on the Caledon castle branch ? How did this work ?
They need to continue the show and have an episode called Finding Duke or something😂
Always wanted to know the CGI series map
Loved the subway map format, Unlucky Tug. I DO AGREE THAT I HATE MISTY ISLAND TOO.
I am model fan, but was still curious to see the CGI setup
With what I learned recently about the Logging Loco’s basis’, it’d technically make more sense for Misty Island to be closer to North America
So yeah, add that to the list of why Misty Island doesn’t make sense
As bad as some of the CGI era is, it has some really cool sets!
Yeah some of episodes are nice and good
Tickled pink
Steamy Sodor
Splish Splash Splosh
Hiro helps out
Thomas crazy day
Merry misty island
James to the rescue
Stop that bus
Sounds of Sodor
Thomas buddy stop taking heavy trains down the hills. This is the third time you have done this. You can't handle it man..... I may have laughed harder in my head that is medically recomended.....
Edit: just a misspell
20:36 I thought you couldn’t think of a single track in CGI
10:08 Posters of Great Waterton are often seen Knapford, Maron and Maithwaite in the CGI Seasons
I would’ve loved to see more of the Skarloey Railway, especially because I love the narrow gauge engines so much. Shame they never did that.
Also Tug to answer your question, the walking bridge is worse. I mean Misty Island Rescue was a disaster of a movie, but a tunnel underneath water is a thing in the real world.
An island only inhabited by 3 independent locomotives and the shake shake bridge are just as bad as a walking bridge imo.
Yea alot of those exist here in NYC
@joshuaW5621 well that can be explained as abandoned track
@@JasonTrain2010 well yeah, but that only makes me hate it more because it would make it dangerous and the shake shake bridge was treated as a joke.
@@joshuaW5621 yea ot was mad dumb
We need a Thomas CGI revival where they find and rescue duke.
@@TheSpongeBobGuy01Different canons
@@TheSpongeBobGuy01 Nice, could you send me the link to the post so I can share them?
There is gonna be a revival era someday, but Duke is not gonna be found because he’s not in the shed anymore. Tug was joking.
Routes you didn’t mention:
King of the Railway:
Thomas, Percy and James leave Brendam Docks, goes through Edward’s Branch Line offscreen, then head up Gordon’s Hill. They go down the hill, switch to the Ulfstead Branch and reach for the top to the Castle.
Journey Beyond Sodor:
Thomas and James leave the Steelworks and go through Barrow offscreen. They then go over the Vicarstown Bridge, through the station and pass the Steamworks. They then continue down the mainline into Tidmouth Sheds.
The Missing Christmas Decorations:
Diesel 10 leaves Tidmouth Sheds and Percy chases after him. He goes through Wellsworth, passes Maron and alongside the Steam Team follows him into the Dieselworks.
The Great Race:
Thomas leaves the Steamworks, goes through Vicarstown station and jumps over the bridge into mainland territory.
Misty Island Rescue:
Thomas and the Logging Locos head through the tunnel but get stuck inside. Whiff and Percy go the other way and free the engines. They then turn around, couple up to Thomas and Logging Locos, and head to the Sodor Search and Rescue Center.
Seeing is Believing:
Merlin goes over the Vicarstown Bridge and goes through the eastern half of the Main Line offscreen. Then he turns to the Brendam Branch and arrives at Brendam Docks.
Crying shame they didn't get to make an episode on Duke
does this mean main line engines going to the Ffarquhar Quarry had to cross the rickety old bridge? that was a damn strong bridge then lol
I got the chills during the duke section
Nice to see the maps return! Did Thomas have to mention Misty Island to explain Ferdinand's small cameo in Signals Crossed?
I think it’s just an urban legend in the actual canon.
I love the map it looks great, but was just looking at it, is there a Peter Griffin on top of Culdee Fell ?, lol
been looking at all the map videos and love all the Maps u have done I know it's hard now and again trying to follow all the location on the island because of how much it changes and where to put everything, but I think U have done a great job , anyway keep up the great work
Hey tug I have a question in the episode toads bright idea toad says “these are the track that go to the gravel pits” to gator where are the gravel pits then?
I think the lack of single-track sets in CGI is because of staging. It's easier to have two engines talk to each other if they're on parallel tracks.
I'd imagine this will be super helpful for fanfiction-As my Sodor map is a cgi/model series (though mainly cgi,as I grew up with that more then the model series and it's something I'm more used to.) hybrid.Sp glad I stumbled upon this video.
15:58 I refuse to believe that *3:10* is the time
What's the Blue Mountain Mystery learning segment from? Is it a DVD extra?
I know many consider the model and cgi series the same canon, but the differences between their maps sure does get you thinking about this theory.
That's probably because they didn't know about the Mitton map when they were making the CGI map, so of course it was gonna be different. They feature model-only locations on the CGI map anyways so it's clear they were intended to be just canon
The time and dedication, I salute you
5:46 Thomas did the same with the Local. Because in the Great Race, when he made his return journey to Knapford, he came in via the front. Thus didnt take the loop
3:20 11:23 14:44 20:22 23:40 26:15 28:30 31:25. Final did my because he does not or other
I zoomed in on the res of the map and saw Peter Griffin
I wish he had also talked about the whistling forest; How big it is, how close it is to the Boxfords' summer home or whether it is suitable for a new renovation.
25:22 Why even build that? With all the time and money spent, they could’ve built a NEW bridge! One where you can haul more than 1 wagon!!
That part with Misty Island makes sense.
21:49 Lmao
22:34. I always thought Misty Island was the Isle of Man in the Thomas universe
Oh god I forgot there's still the debunked videos to upload
On an unrelated note, Feel The Magic totally suits the CGI series very nicely.
My head cannon for the walking bridge is over the month they built a more stable bridge and eventually completed a full normal bridge and used the metal from the old bridge and SCRAPPED it.
(I agree it's still dumb with the walking bullshit)
1:37 to 1:47 I guess maybe he took the Rescue Centre line as a detour, but when Thomas, Diesel, Den & Dart were coming out the tunnel, the points were set for them and Gordon had to make a stop
good point.
Did Tidmouth Town Square replaced main Tidmouth station in cgi?
I think it did.
I’m keen to believe it did.
I liked when they restored Great Waterton station, ulfstead castle and the lost mine.
First one that liked!!! 😃
I love it freak out about duke 😭😭
Thomas's coaches nearly getting run over by the runaway globe must have been a callback to Rusty and the Boulder (albeit a rather dumb one at that), where Rusty, Skarloey, and Rheneas nearly get run over by said boulder, only to be switched onto another track just in time.
Only changes I'd make is remove the walking bridge and just put in the rickety old bridge and remove Misty Island.
I agree
1:04. (Fart)😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hackenbeck was mentioned on sign
Doesn’t mean there’s a station there. Oh wait, we already know there is because the model and CGI series were confirmed to be the same canon.
