Andy Summers knew 6000 chords and was a master of technique, so he could vary a performance every show. He's truly one of the most unsung guitarists ever. And Copeland...what a beast.
Steve Copeland on drums is the most insane thing i've ever seen, gives me goosebumps. Im 23 and I've never seen the Police and I probably never will :( The top down view of him on the drums is so good at the start.
I think that’s the end now unless they do a few shows for a good cause like when they did for amnesty international but I can’t see an official re-union. Ithink the last one was a farewell tour really. The Madison Square Gardens show was billed as their final performance. Sting said never say never but that was before the farewell tour.
These 3 guys could have been playing in Prog Rock or JAZZ FUSION bands…Well I guess they kind of did! But they brought that level of musicianship to a sensibility of Rock-advanced Pop songwriting . Fantastic, and the 3 piece format also kept it grounded in a way. Loved them.
4:21 Stew looked like he wanted to kill Sting with the way he was flipping his stick and hitting the snare!! LOL 😂😂 I love Stewart's drumming and energy!! One of my favs!!
He used to have’, “FUCK OFF YOU CUNT” written on his drums and build his kit up so he couldn’t see Sting and hit the crap out of them pretending it was Sting apparently. Definately seen the writing on the drums.
2:44, weird seeing Stu drum match-grip for 3 seconds compared to his traditional grip style lol 😄 Fucking guy is a masterful drummer and seems like a genuinely great guy!
That change transitions the song from reggae to rock in a split second. Although he might have just changed it because his hand hand to be hurting by then! He plays hard.

Dear Sting Andy and Stewart, Please please please go on a reunion tour. You are one of my favorite bands to listen everywhere I go. It's my wish to see you guys play together just like you did back in the 70's and 80's From, VenomxShocker
Just noticed this wasn’t part of the re-union/farewell tour. The Amnesty International logo is at the beginning and they are much younger than in 200708 in. This video.. female backing vocals also, they did a few for amnesty,
Anyone seen their slower version of this song that they performed during their tour in Australia? A friend once showed me that on a video tape of his (like 20 years ago), and I can't find it on youtube anywhere (it was a professionally made video so I thought it'd be on youtube somewhere).

er... he still is!
6000? How does he remember all of them
Copeland is almost as much a danger to himself as he is to others. The man is absolutely wild.
@@berv9169I don’t think it’s possible I think he might have exaggerated it a bit, but he is a master with that stuff.
I agree!🎉
In another dimension, The Police got along great and produced another 10 albums of killer rock.
bryede Yeah, but in that dimension they were Chinese and sang in mandarin...
Haha.. Still probably better than what's out there today!

You should check out his brother Stewart 😂
@@keithmoon8838
😅😅😅Are you sure it's not Bert Copeland? 😅
I like how Copeland is wearing his classic sports t-shirt and shorts while Sting and Andy are in those linen pajamas
Stewart Copeland...hittin' those skins, like there REALLY will be no tomorrow. So crisp...so smart. Amazingly gifted drummer.
Copeland is playing fast and furious. Love it
Copeland going absolutely insane! I’d kill to see my favorite band live back in their prime.
Srsly. He's just a beast. He takes drumming to another level. It's just amazing.
Playing with a sense of urgency like “this might be the last time we play together for a long time”. Absolutely love it.
The police were one of the best bands ever. And they still can play.
What a fantastic performance! Especially Stewart
Le meilleur batteur !!!!! 👍❤️
All I want in life is one final Police reunion
Amen @RickyTisms
They did in 2008

So true. So true..
I agree. One more album
Nowadays we can transcribe every note of Copeland's playing...but his feel - energy and drive is uncopieable.
Loved them.
Copeland what a drummer, phenomenal
Stew is like an avalanche roaring down a mountainside
The opening from Copeland 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Copeland at his peak... 85/86... these guys played alot of gigs 77 to 84... dialled in to each other...
Saw them on the Synchronicity Tour in Landover 1983.
Mr Copelands intro! Wow! Don't know how the kit survived that song
Copeland insane! The gods of drum
Stewart on fire.
4:21 Stew looked like he wanted to kill Sting with the way he was flipping his stick and hitting the snare!! LOL 😂😂 I love Stewart's drumming and energy!! One of my favs!!

One last album, one last tour...please! 🙏🏻
Ah, the '86 reunion.... Stu's hair is absolutely great
Remember them giving U2 their instruments after they were done.

@@phogue1 Interesting. He does it again at 3:40. Thanks for the info
@@markcheetah4960nope he’s hitting the rim
Still one of best gigs I ever saw in my young life back then .
Sting: “Can you drum any faster, Stewart?”
Stewart: “Hold my ☕️”
*The police is legend*

Gran banda si las hay! Aguante The Police!
My childhood memories are inside my bottle.
You can almost hear the guitar!
Copeland é foda bagarai na bateria.
One last album... Just one more...
The 57 people who disliked this need to send an SOS! what a version of this song this is!!
Sting ... looking so good, love your outfit as well !!!
Waouuu grandes rolas grandes recuerdos

Bravo to Andy for insisting that the band be a trio.
That is a MASSIVE crowd!

Just a castaway
An island lost at sea
Another lonely day
With no one here but me
More loneliness
Than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair
I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life
But love can break your heart
I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Walked out this morning
Don't believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems I'm not alone at being alone
A hundred billion casatways
Looking for a home
I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Sending out an SOS
Alexandra Tiersen Thanks a lot Alexandra for the lyrics !

Yes, in 1986
2018 que buena musica
Amo💙❤💚😍
This right after Sting changed his nose and the earliest he sounded anything like he does now. I think his voice was effected by the surgery.
Drums and rhythmic have good little speed
Nice Song
Someone call the law 👮♂️ this is too good! 😍🤘🏾
Copeland is one the best drummers on the planet
I want to be reincarnated as Copeland
