What a voice and tecnic Marty Robbins, is a pleasure to hear him, really. "Live long and prosper" for Country Music. Best wishes from Las Pampas Argentinas
When I was a teenager in the late 50's, I used to listen to The Grand Ol' Opry on my transistor radio, while laying in my bunkbed on Saturday night. After the Opry ended, I would listen to Ernest Tubb's show from The Ernest Tubb Record Mart. Visited both of those venues on our 25th wedding anniversary trip in 1994! They don't make country music like this anymore!
I miss ET. I’ve seen him in a concert one time at a outdoor festival in Ohio when I lived in Ohio. Hank Williams Sr & ET will always & have always been my 2 favorite male artists. Loretta & Pasty have always & will always be my favorite 2 female artists. I wish they still had these old classics on tv but with new technology now at least I can watch them on RUclips. I knew & sang along with every single song that ET & Marty sang on here. Both are legends & both are very much missed.
The music back then you could understand the words & sing along with. This crap nowadays is all that just crap. George Strait & Alan Jackson sang the song “Murder on Music Row” & Nashville did just that. Now the Earnest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville has been bought by ET’s grandson & keeping it whereas Nashville wanted to move everything out & put something else in its place. Kuttos to ETs grandson. Country music has all changed since the late 1980s early 1990s. IF NOT BEFORE
This when country music was country there will never be music like this again
Am always suprused how marty had mastered these soo many songs...
There is no better Music on the Earth than the old Classic Country..
