I had an Infinity M37x for years and absolutely loved that car. It was terrific in the snow and wet roads. I am glad to see that you gave it such a favorable rating. They are very much under appreciated vehicles.
I hate people continuously complaining about how horrible CVTs are. They are fine for most users in lower to mid priced cars. However, at 60K, I think I would try to find something with a conventional automatic. This infinity looks really nice though, and the AWD system was amazing for the muddy conditions with what as best I could tell were standard all season tires.
The previous generation QX (up to 2018), and the EX and FX before that, are some of the best hidden gems on the market. They used the Z’s FM platform and VQ engines, and the R32/33 GTR’s ATTESA ET-S AWD system. The two generations prior to the one in this video were actually called the Skyline Crossover in Japan. I would say that you should do a video about those older models and ATTESA in general (if you haven’t already) but I need to find a clean used example for myself before you let the cat out of the bag!

I have a 2017 Murano Platinum and I think has similar AWD system than this Infinity…in this 2 years, I put my Murano on the beach, mud and snow without any problem. The AWD system is fantastic in combination with the VQ35. I wish to have at least a “select terrain” system only to anticipate the system what will be my next surface, but the system do everything super well. The BIG cons y the towing capacity due for the CVT, and I think that is the same with this Infinity. I have the 2nd gen 2016 Infiniti qx-50 with the 3.7l 7- spd auto and It’s great in the snow no problems. It’s pretty quick too. The 2019-2025 is basically the same with 2.0l cvt. Nice review. I’ve got the mid-tier 2019 2WD and just a great vehicle. Bought over the RX, GLC300, X3 because of comfort and ride. Not going to compare to a Macan but the 268hp really moves. I had a 14 q50 and when the lease was up considering the qx50 but went with an 18 Outback 3.6r after seeing this offroad I definitely made the right decision.
But if it about CVTs you’ll have to be complaining about Hondas, Toyotas, Mitsubishis, Kias. Hyundais, and others, not just Infinity or Nissan. My V6 Murano gives me 31.5 MPG on the highway. That’s because of the CVT.
Do you all have access to the engineers that programmed the AWD logic? I learned a ton from the Dart videos. The programming was counterintuitive to what I learned about how to get out of ruts without electronic aids. I learned not to give the car more throttle for risk of getting more stuck. It would be interesting to see if there is a commonality between the AWD logic of the different brands.

No wonder Infiniti had to pull completely out of Europe cause none were selling due to highly unreliable manufacturing!

I dont like the interior it looks like a Chrysler
The interior is a dump
It may have done well in the slip test, but it failed that real world off road test pretty miserably... These are not offroaders by any stretch of the imagination. AWD for some slippery ON ROAD weather.
And how did it fail? It made its way through those deep hole under its own power AND on some summer street tires IN THE SLICK MUD!!!
Yeah I disagree as well, there are videos of more dedicated vehicles that struggled similarly. It definitely held it’s own.
@LafemmebearMusic if you think it held its own, you obviously don't go offroad much.
What are you talking about? It did exactly what it was expected to do off road. Which it isn’t designed for, yet it succeeded admirably.
