Definitely Infiniti's most competitive car. Plus, the V6 is reliable, and no CVT. Hopefully the rest of the lineup follows suit in the near future.

As always a very good review and comparison. I bought a 2024 QX60 back in November. It replaced my 2017 Q7. Your comments on both cars are spot on. The issue I had with the newer Q7 was how much the price of the car had gone up in 7 years. The QX60 was the best value in the category. My second choice in the category was the MDX, but I couldn't stand the script controller for the infotainment system. TH QX60 has turned out a good choice for the money and I am pleased with my purchase.

The value proposition is to get the Pathfinder in platinum trim. The Infiniti base trim Pure is no where well as equipped as the Pathfinder. Also, the Pathfinder's 3rd row is 3 across and not just 2 if that matters to you. Yes, it's a Nissan vs. a Infiniti but alot of what you saw in Alex's video is nearly identical to what you'd find in the Pathfinder.

i really appreciate and respect how you do end segments that discuss ownership costs because i’m only interested in buying cars that can last 20+ years, and not leasing. So when you do discussions like Infinti QX60 vs Acura MDX vs Audi Q7 vs Mazda CX90 vs Volvo XC90 it helps me put into perspective why some would prefer leasing a XC90 vs owning a CX90.

I wish Infiniti added a hybrid option or something that offered more power. I personally think that the Nissan pathfinder is 75% of the vehicle that the QX60 is, unless you need the bigger screen, “massaging seats”, and the light up logo, then go with the Pathfinder. I do really like the quilted leather on the dash. It adds a really nice upscale look to the interior. I do have to commend Infiniti on the interior, it looks really good for the price point.

Yeah, the new GX is not smaller than the new RX. He likely made a mistake, though the previous generation, the RX was slightly longer. The TX is almost as big as the X7, so he is right about that. It's just a few inches taller and has half an inch more front headroom. Otherwise, the TX has more interior volume and cargo space than the X7.

Redline Reviews started calling every plastic "injection moulded" and now it's spread here. I find it actually quite irritating because it's just an assumption on the basis thay most plastics manufacturered on volume are injection moulded. I'm pretty sure the manufacturing techniques are not confirmed.
Also what does the manufacturing technique have anything to do with quality? An extrusion based plastic isn't going to be luxary. It's a plastic. The words "injection molded plastic" is somehow made to imply economy... when it's really just plastic.

I have to say the QX60 is closer to the MDX in it's relation to its mainstream counterpart. The TX shares way more obvious things with the GH. The exterior doors are exactly the same as is all of the glass and side styling/body lines. The QX60 shares no exterior panels/styling and has a different roof line than the Pathfinder. So I am perplexed how the QX60 gets so much flack for "looking too much like a PF" when they look nothing alike besides general proportions. You would think Toyota's deeper pockets would have allowed for way more differentiation between the TX/GH. It is clear Honda invested the most in differentiating the models, but I would say Nissan is square in the middle. The only place you'll see shared parts are on the lower portions of the cabin and most obviously the buttons on the steering wheel (huge oversight to say they did so well everywhere else).
And Alex, I'm glad you are calling out Lexus on their recent string of lackluster interiors. The designs seem a little cold with such a focus on the large screens. But what bother's me most is that they're all mostly black, no matter what color you select. There are only a few panels that change in color (center of the seats, piece of leather on the doors). That screams major cost cutting for it to be present in all of their recent models.

They ended production of the last gen and skipped a model year, and barely had any on lots (hence the steep drop in sales). It was a hard pill to swallow for dealers, being their top seller. So true. We had a huge fancy Infiniti dealer built 10 yrs ago. It was converted to a fancy Genesis dealer 2 yrs ago. Then I discovered the Infiniti dealer was moved to a tiny dumpy dealership space. I feel bad as I used to be a big Infiniti fan in the 90s.

@@naveenthemachinethe TX does not compete with a wagoner or Tahoe so why would anyone compare them at all? And the TX is much bigger on the inside compared to the Telluride, it has a lot more legroom, headroom is about the same but it definitely has a lot more cargo space behind the 3rd row and overall volume

@@naveenthemachine those are mainstream full size SUVs, not Luxury full-size SUV. U wanna compare the luxury full size SUVs to the TX, there's one that has less overall cargo space and u mentioned half the name already: the Grand Wagoneer. So ur argument is invalid because the TX beats the Grand Wagoneer in total cargo volume.

Nissan Infiniti builds garbage transmissions. They sold millions of vehicles with trash CVTs and never stood behind the cars. I used to be a Nissan fan. I owned, in this order, the following cars:
Nissan 300ZX, Nissan 300ZX, Nissan Frontier, Infiniti G35, Infiniti FX45, Infiniti G35, and an Infiniti QX60. Following the QX60 I will never buy another Nissan again. They sold their cars with CVTs KNOWING the transmissions are garbage, which is why they never made things right with those of us who bought one. It feels completely intentional and even if it weren't, they offer no recourse.
