    A tip: if TCM is giving you exposures that are way off, then you most likely have an old firmware in your XPro. You just need to update it.

    This is so fantastic. I didn’t know that godox has this feature! This was the ONE reason I was considering buying Profoto but in the end I bought Godox not realizing the Godox ALSO has this feature. Hoooorrraaayyyyy! Your video was informative and well laid out, and easy to follow. Thanks so much for taking the time to make it!

    Thank you for making such a clear, easy-to-understand tutorial.
    Using a TTL > TCM > Manual workflow will enable to work faster. I used to have to take a lot of test shots and make a lot of adjustments to flash power to get to a good exposure. TCM is a great shortcut.
    Many thanks again.

    Excellent video, thank you Alex. QUESTION: if I'm using a combo of different Godox flashes, how do I inform the XPro? Suppose I have one V860ii and two AD200 Pros? What then please?
    Also, if shooting while the ambient light is factored in, but is also changing (like during sunset), does TCM even make sense then?
    Thanks again!

    Wow, your very clear to understand video now completely changed what I am going to buy this week with Black Friday deals. Here I thought I didn't need/want TTL in my AD600 Pro's since I use those in studio but this is going to be awesome to utilize. Photography just keeps getting more fun! Thank you! (subscribed! :)
    Q: The only question I have is the last section where you go into the controls to tell the flash what flash you are using. What if I'm using an assortment of Flashpoint/Godox 300, 600 etc?

    When i set TCM in the transmitter can the X Pro translate TTL values to Manual from 3 different flashes 1 AD100 Pro, 1 AD300 Pro, and 1 AD400 Pro?

    Looking the last part of the video I understood that TCM can be used only with Godox flashes. So if I use a Canon 580EX or a 600RT with X1R receiver I couldn't use TMC. Did I understand rightly?

    Hey there, how're you? maybe you can helpmeet with a question. I have a pair of AD300Pros and a X-Pro Trigger, and for now have no light meter, so I want to use the TCM function. The question is, which of the options for the TCM I must use for correctly expose with the AD300Pro?, in the menu I only have 'Speedlight (the icon)', '200j', '360j' and '600j'. Thanks in advance!!

    Why do you have to set the strobe in the transmitter settings? Doesn't it know which strobe you're using automatically? I've never had to set that with the older transmitters

  • @guyphoto9437
    @guyphoto9437 2 года назад

    When you want to use the TCM mode on the transmitter, you can set it to an on camera flash unit, the AD200, AD360, etc., but there's no setting for the AD300. If you set it for the AD360 will that work? Or does it not support the AD300?

    Alex, I have issues with TCM using the AD200's. For instance in a dark room, TCM conversion gives me 1/256 power, however AD200's function in manual at MINIMUM of 1/128th power, blowing out the shot. Any way you know of to get past this hardware restriction on the AD200? It obviously is capable of firing at a lower power, as it works just fine in TTL mode at 1/256 power... any suggestions?
