      No, add a Magguts +3 extension to the 10 rd mag. Only adds pinky extension+ 3 rds. Allows 13 in the 10 rd mag.

    This pistol is the total package for concealed carry in my opinion. I have always been a Glock fan and I still am, but my 43x is now my backup. The ease of concealment and the round capacity is a game changer. I picked up several 15 round magazines and I’m good to go. I’ve only had this setup for about three weeks and have run 1500 rounds of cheap blazer through it. This thing is awesome!! S&W did a really nice job on this one 👍👍

      @@Jiggavel Personally I have a combination of setups. I'm 6ft 205 but pretty lean so long mags stick out if I carry 4-6. Generally if I have a 10 or 13 in the gun, I'll always have the mag carrier loaded w/ the 15. If I appendix carry w/ a minimalist holster, I can pop the 15 in the gun and rock 2 15 mags!!

      Very interesting ramble on optics and I agree with your thinking on an EDC and my philosophy of no furniture, bare bones , up close tool. Just bought all three of the current hot EDCs, the P365, Shield Plus and Hellcat Pro with the intention of selling two out of the three when I decide on which fulfills my carry needs the best. Unfortunately everything I have heard and read about the three triggers doesn’t hold up to my yardstick, my G43 with a Johnny Glocks’ trigger. Nice video!

    Just picked one up last week after much research for my first CC pistol. Looked at the P365, Hellcat, XD and Max 9. The Shield Plus was far and away the best of the bunch for me. I've run about a hundred rounds through it and found it to be very accurate. Well pleased with my choice. Paid only $450.00 with the OR feature. Great deal for a great firearm.

    Nice tip with the motorcycle oil. Better than car oil for sure, the fact bikes use that oil for the engine and the gearbox is a great reason to use it. Personally, I use automatic transmission fluid for similar reasons. Bottom line is people should know they are getting ripped off by the gun specific stuff, it's lower quality and more expensive!

    I share many of your thoughts, although a Sig P365 and p365XL (added a flat trigger to the 365) are my primary striker-fired carry guns. I also have an LCP Max for my pocket if I have to carry that way. I love DA/SA pistols, so I also have a P30SK from Langdon Tactical, with a Grayguns flat trigger. H&K just redesigned the mags, so a flush fit mag now holds 12. I don’t mind the extra bulk and weight in my holster, depending on the situation. Back to the Shield Plus, my brother has one and I have shot it several times. It is a great gun and has a better trigger than the Sigs. So nice to have so many great choices these days. I also don’t have red dots (or lights) on my carry pistols. No doubt they are more accurate at target distances, but I don’t want the extra bulk, weight, cost, or have to change the way I acquire a sight picture in a rapid self defense situation. But, I understand why people love them. I have one on a PCC and it’s just lights out at 30, 40, 50 yards.

    • @SquireSCA
      @SquireSCA  Год назад

      Yeah, for carry guns I just like to keep it simple. I know that its unlikely that I would need a gun to defend myself. I have a gun "just in case", but the intention is that while it's there, the chances of needing it are slim most of the time. That said, if I do need it, it's likely to be up close, and having the red dot, while being all high tech and tacticool for competition shooting, isn't much of an asset in a real live up close engagement. It's more cost, more weight, more bulk and an additional failure point...
      On a pistol for the range and longer shots, or on any rifle? Absolutely. I have optics on most of those types of weapons...

      @SquireSCA  5 месяцев назад

      Not a fan of the light. In the dark, it actually makes you the target and gives the bad guy something to aim for. It also adds weight and limits holster options for concealed carry... @@whatwouldlewdo Depends on what you want, I guess. I can pick one up, and put fast rounds on target if I need to. Honestly, for a defensive weapon, I don't need optics or hair triggers or stippling or any of the other modern tacticool stuff. I just need to point it at something and it go boom and put hole in thing. haha
      I know others like to customize and trick things out... And that's fine, but none of that is actually needed, IMHO. And if I ever had to use the gun in self defense and I had to defend that use in court, I don't want some jackoff prosecutor trying to make a name for themselves by going after me because I modified the gun to make it more deadly or any of that nonsense... You and I know that's BS, but whatever knuckleheads they select for the jury, might not...
