Hi Cap! In light of current world events and how much fun you guys seem to have, I recently picked up DCS World and a couple air-frames that were on sale. Do you have the Sunday Funday missions saved somewhere that randos have access to? I'd like to practice your canyon evasion runs on my own so I don't embarrass myself if I ever end up flying with you haha
If a remember correctly he did post the file on one of his Sam valley runs. Though I still say once you can get airborne and fly come join a Sunday funday. It's all about doing things in silly and stupid ways
It sucks seeing all these exciting things that some of us can't use. As of this moment OB in VR has had unplayable FPS for almost 2 months now. I hope to play with these soon but doubt it. Great video as always...
@@therealtjpek DCS World performance in VR is awful for everyone. Some people believe they have no performance issues and cite consistent frame rates of 40... The target FPS for most VR HMD is 90. Those who claim smooth performance are relying on VR driver-level motion-smoothing (i.e. ASW for Oculus and the poorer steamVR version), or brute force of running a CPU at 5ghz or buying the most expensive GPU (i.e. 2080Ti). DCS World uses only a single core to run the entire simulation. A second core is used minimally. To push DCS single core into VR-level performance (not relying on motion-smoothing) with an FPS of 90+ you'd have to run that single core around 10ghz on LN2. So I'm guessing you're at around 5ghz and relying on motion-smoothing and other tricks. ED are working on an actual performance enhancement that will reduce the system burden for VR users. It's not a complete cure because ultimately, running a complex sim on 1 core isn't a good idea.
Maybe a bit later but when i dont understand why when i lock an aircraft and select from pca mode the mav for wide mode and i have the first circle whit the magic but not the second one and i have master arm on so i dont understand why i cant shot
A great video!! Hey cap, have you reviewed the new tomcat load out I suggested to you? If not, I think that you should. It can really help you and the boys if you ever have another large tomcat mission. But it can help individual players as well!!!!
Seriously, it’s like learning how to fly the Mirage every other month if they keep changing things this often. Should at least leave the older versions available as a menu option, or update training because at the moment I can’t seem to do anything.
Eli I am having a hard time adapting to the new hotas/weapons systems. Most times I keep fiddling in the middle of a fight to get weapons released. At least training should be added to highlight the updates/changes.
Cap, I've also got a Saitek X52 Pro. Do you ever have any issues with the throttle quadrant losing lights? It still works, but all the button lights stay off. The joystick works as advertised, just the throttle.

MrFang333333 Wipe dcs and download non-beta. That will fix FPS. Then you can try going back to beta if you want.

What kind of range can we expect from this kind of search? I'm assuming less than a proper IRST?
range depends on strength on heat source. Maybe 10 miles with strong source?
