Backdraft demonstration with Flashpoint Fire Dynamics Training Prop

  • Creating a backdraft in the Flashpoint Fire Dynamics Training Prop. There is a small fire towards the middle of the prop driven by a bi-directional flow from the left bottom door. When the door on the right is opened, air is allowed to mix into the fuel-rich (vent limited) compartment. When enough air mixes in, and the mixture reaches the active fire a backdraft can be seen releasing a significant amount of energy in a short period of time.
    Note that the graphic overlays are simplified to demonstrate the concepts and do not fully represent the complex fluid dynamics present.

      Yes there is. Just getting the right hoses and the pump working is something a normal person would have hard time.
