      Dan Suzuki on his RUclips review held it at 13.5nm at the bump stop for 10mins
      Can you check your ALPHA MINI power supply is it 252w or 216w ??
      Supposedly the new Mini base has 216w supply but can you confirm which PSU was sent to you ??
      That’s why I’m asking what is your POWER supply watts ??

  • @StancedInertia9
    @StancedInertia9 Год назад +6

    if anyone is curious about the GT Pro Hub/ GTC wheel on the Alpha Mini it feels great for racing/gt4/f1 but is too heavy for rally or drift since the wheel return speed is not quick enough even with wheel rotation speed at max. it's not impossible to drift with that configuration just more difficult to keep consistent with the weight of the wheel and hub. it however works as it should with a lighter weight wheel and was natural with my knock off deep dish Vertex 330mm wheel.

    • @curacto6207

      Interesting, Simagic always talks about how good their bases are for drifting. I have had no issues with my Asetek La Prima (12nm) with a round wheel and button box. Perhaps my wheel is lighter, or the wheelbase has a high slew rate.

    Simagic released that QR for sim racing applications a long time before Moza copied it, but it's always struggled with marketing and exposure in comparison, especially after the kerfuffle with Boosted Media.
    It also has a long list of patents but no one knows about it. It's a real shame that it hasn't achieved the popularity that Moza enjoys, given the much higher quality-to-price ratio that Simagic offers across its lineup.

      Boosted media / Will is a clown. I don't blame simagic for refusing to work with him he knows sod all about SIM racing, isn't any good at it , and has a weird chip on his shoulder thinking he needs to give us updates on his life.

      It's unfortunate not many know this. Also Moza power claims are liberal vs Simagic. R12 won't feel stronger than a supposed 10nm Alpha mini. It uses brushless motors and lower bit encoders vs Simagic true servos and higher bit encoders but most are not aware and just look at claimed NM published. Would love to see a direct comparison.

They threatend to cut off a supplier for supplying a wheelbase to Boosted Media and a certain employee of Simagic banned a simracing youtuber off their facebook page and discor and encouraging members to bully said youtuber. Nice review. I have the exact same setup along with the GT4 rim. This may be different for everyone but I have a few problems with my setup.
    First the base sometimes switches on and shows 240 v red abnormal in the settings tab and I have to switch it on and off a few times for it to show 35v green normal.
    Second the base gets very hot and yes I understand that the casing is designed to be the heat sync but I think this should be mentioned with a warning or sticker similar to the simcube bases. Reaching 45 degrees Celsius seems a little excessive.
    And finally the quick release system is brilliant however I have found that after about 8 months of use they stick and do not click into place when attaching to the base. This means you have to manually make the quick release click in and out about 5 to 10 times for it to finally attach to the base. Very frustrating 😢
    The wheel rims are a fantastic shape and weight but the grips are just a bit too thin compared to other manufacturers and feel very hard in the hand. A bit of extra padding or thicker leather would be appreciated in my opinion.
    Overall a fantastic brand and a big step up from the likes of Moza and fanatec.
    I just hope they start bringing out more wheels

      @albey1816 the mini is the only one reduced. They reduced the wattage/Amos on the power supply. The alpha and ultimate are still the same it was due to the heating issues on the mini. We hsve 2 people who hsve tested the alpha and all found it to be over 18nm on the v3. Even hsve a RUclips video up on it. There is alot of false I formation going around regardless the v3s are better and hsve more detail. I own a v1 alpha and a v3 ultimate. I also own the dd+. The ultimate is my daily driver and it's the best bade I've ever used. But it's also as strong as the simucube pro. It's 23nm holding torque by my torque meter. It hits peaks over 25nm
      Again the mini is the only one that's been reduced not 1 person has shown any proof of the alpha or ultimate being less the only one in talks is the mini. It's because of the change in power supply. The others were not changed. The design of the casing on the base was to help mounting the motors are identical when opened with some slight improvements to the cpu. It's now 40000hz instead of 20000.

    • @reviewforthetube6485
      @reviewforthetube6485 6 месяцев назад

      @albey1816 max apex has a video of a v3 alpha he posted up with his brand new v2 with a torque meter and he tested 18.5nm same tool dan suzuki used when testing the v2 minis. Just saying don't speak false information about the alphas or the ultimate not a single person has talked anout reduced torque on those because those weren't having the issues the minis did. You could cook eggs on the mini after 2 hours of use.
      But even if they changed all 3 models which they haven't, they are still better then they once were. They used to lack details and now they don't. They are also the only brand to use 5 pole servo motors just like simucube/asetek do. So they are fast af super responsive and just really really good. But the upgrades they have made are really nice. It's also buttery smooth and no longer has the notch feel in the middle. Even when off it's smooth.

    Please god work on clean transitions they are to harsh you dont need it. You may like the effect but its jarring to the eyes/mind.
    Also what is with all of thede brands eanting to do software with 50 options? You knoe ive been able to get the same experience and feel from my fanatec off the wheel as i do fanalab? If anythjng all of thode srttings throws things off. I think simagic software is plenty the perfect amount of options. What should be happening is these brands tune the wheels to how they should feel right out of the box. Then give us like 8 settings to adjust as thats all that is needed. These brands should be shpwing us how there wheels shoul feel not making us go through and set it all up. We should hsve ropm for adjustments with preference but some settings being released were always done by devs in the past. We dont need them imo. I hope sim magic stays simplistic.

      It's the internet, u can't please everyone, if the creator is happy that's cool, no one's forced to watch any of it. The person put a bunch of time and effort into making and editing the vid, instead of putting ur 2c in here just don't leave a like or what ever, no one's coming to your office and telling u how they feel about how you do ur job besides ur boss hopefully.

    Dan Suzuki on his RUclips review held it at 13.5nm at the bump stop for 10mins
    Can you check if your ALPHA MINI power supply is it 252w or 216w ??
    Supposedly the new Mini base has 216w supply but can you confirm which PSU was sent to you ??
    That’s why I’m asking what is your POWER supply watts ??

      Did you ever figure out if it's true the new minis have a lesser PSU? I'm assuming that means they put out the 10nm stated rather than the 13.5nm
