Thank you for this awareness about middle age black folks. Your presentation is respectful and very carefully presented. I want to add the issue of the crisis surrounding middle age ladies in terms of menopause symptoms which aren't taken seriously by the majority of laddies. Some laddies do not plan or recognise how these factors completely alter their behaviour. Infact it becomes a tool for victimising the opposite gender. Eventually some men have become victims because these ladies completely ignore or even refuse to acknowledge the impact of this critical phenomenon.
I love black women. Im a single father, very active with my children and i have NO baby mama drama. I only date Black / Africans as i want an African influence for my children. However, i have found African women are not so keen on children that are not their own, however us men have no issues with women who have children. Also, African women want ready made men with money, assets and top career. Meanwhile, they are unwilling to do the same. We need nurturing woman who is willing to commit to building a family, and not always be looking for "excitement" or the next fix. Just my thoughts.✌🏿❤️💯
I have never met an African woman who is happily married, if they are married they are seeking divorce. Mostly they are single mums. It’s very disturbing why can’t the men help them. It’s so sad for the children, it’s so isolating for them. 🇬🇧🇯🇲🤦🏾♀️

In the circumstances, can only put my hat off to you for devoting this much energy to enlightening not only those who are single abroad, but even those who are married, helping them to understand some of the challenges some of their unmarried relations may be facing.

Black men were never interested in me except my ex whom l had a child with. I believe that embracing my femininity and allowing the men l dated the space to look after me really helped me. Now our culture teaches us to be strong and that’s not bad but men are created to be the strong ones and so let’s allow them to lead while we support and l believe it will be easier for us to find our other halves.

Yaaa dating is shrouded with many issues. Women as they accumulate riches they become reluctant to marriage. The other issue is, nowadays cultures are mixed, so some they hate to leave their practices and the gap widens. Poverty is another hindrance.
Is it only African women doing a 12 hour shift? Black women complain too much. Observe a pregnant white lady and a black lady. White women are generally more energetic and sometimes work till two weeks to delivery. Black women complain about pregnancy every day till child birth. Eastern European ladies are very active despite the challenges. African ladies believe in entitlement. A lot of African ladies are lazy and complain a lot. Besides I am Cameroonian

I think Africans need to marry from other African countries. I am Cameroonian and many of my friends are married to Zimbabweans and Ivoirians and their marriages are working real good as opposed to some same country marriages.
I think women have been given the idea that men will want them forever..... I think thats a really difficult thing to realise and then make the best of that reality.
The problem is that we expect relationships to always last for ever. Just open up and relate to people and make it last for only as long as it is mutually beneficial. We only live once and we cannot afford to make this short life a miserable one
Most of these dating issues mentioned are not specific to black women from Sub Sahara. What I have seen is that the women ( U.K.) will buy into the modern feminism movement, especially in the health service. This changes the relationship dynamic and these women are not as attractive to men. Both sexes will work long hours and when I’ve tried to get people together, they are not interested. They concentrate on their careers too much and miss the opportunity. So in their 30s, they are too old as men will prefer women in their 20s. It’s worse for women in this respect as men are attracted to beauty generally and women to a man that can support and provide. This means men are ready in their 30s after generating more wealth and women are seen as too old, as those men can choose a younger woman.

Is it so important to be in a relationship as a middle aged black African woman? By middle age (above 40) a woman should have had the children, family she wanted. If not, What was she doing all that time? After a series of unfulfilled relationships at middle age focus on having the best live that you can. Even if that means being alone. Whatever you have made a priority up to that point. Stick with it.
