The Omega signal branded on everyone was what was pulling the planet towards Earth. Once Clark inspired people into the light and the lost the Omega signal, there was nothing pulling it towards Earth anymore.
Darkness pulls the planet in, Light repels it. Clark becomes the light that inspires the world lifting the darkness and thereby inspiring everyone into the light which in turn repels the planet. Clark (the light) and the inspiration he gives to everyone is why the planet gets pushed away so easily.
This was Amazing I Loved Watching the Finale I Hope Smallville Returns Somehow, With Todays Special Effects Imagine what they Could Show it would be so Great.
@@38siddhiwinayaks58 something that size would rip apart earth 1000’s of miles away due to the gravitational force, the closer it got it would heat up the surface of earth to 1000’s of degrees and it would be scorching before the planet even broke through the ozone layer. Once in contact both planets would eventually become one massive giant fire ball that slowly cools over millions of years. And maybe evolution would repeat itself, but hell Superman can do anything that’s why we love him.

You mean we got old? Special effects are still terrible to me so I lost my interest in them. This show left most of the part to our imagination and I think they had a point. Just bc of that weird face of the guy who plays Superman in the current show, and the weird suit, and the gay sons, and the ice cold Luis lane, and the lack of story…. Smallville stands aside. Started watching it after almost two decades, hollycrap I’m at 5th season now in a week, and I’m not gonna stop till the last episode 🙃
I don't know if anyone else noticed this when they were watching Smallville, bit i thonk the production team had a bit of a running gag with planes. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that ANY time someone got on a plane, it would crash or start to go down. They could never have one successful flight 😂 and for some reason, i remember the characters getting on planes pretty frequently.
That close up of Clark's face really annoys me. It should have been framed to show his upper torso, show the "S". If they did it wouldn't have detracted from the ending shot with Clark on the rooftop opening his shirt. I know Tom Welling had reservations about wearing the suit but given that its the last episode enjoy the moment and show us Superman. Instead we get flaring nostrils...sigh.
I don't get the point of Darkseid's plan here. Seems like he wanted to control everyone's minds and then...crash Apokalips into Earth? Then what was the point of controlling everyone's minds if you're just gonna destroy the entire planet and wipe everyone out anyway?
He had 2 separate plans. Control all. If that fails, smash into all. He had just thrown the e brake on before Supes pushed the planet and broke it. F*cking dick.

He was trying to amplify fear, despair, and chaos among Earth's population by controlling their minds. This would serve as a way to weaken the planet and make it more susceptible to his influence. Crushing the planet was a way to reshape earth into his own image, he doesn't need a well looking planet with water and so on

This superman legit one shot Darkseid and easily beat doomsday. This is exactly how superman is in comics. That hack snyder made a discount homelander instead of the real Superman

So going up against unknown trained deadly Foes with no fighting experience. Plus they got your powers but are slowly adjusting and learning them...yeah that's not even close to a easy match to win. Smallville from what I seen is Clark learning as he goes with small sized at least starter threats compared to the ones in Snyderverse. This is like the end of the show. It makes sense for in show him to be at that experience and power level. Even Superman in the comics had to go against doomsday and darkseid and lose a couple times before starting to kick their ass regularly. Like come on dude. Snyder superman is rough as hell but calling him week fooder is like come on...even in the comics he struggled against Zod and the rest. Even got sent to the phantom zone by them.
