Love that Bus fight. Rusty at first then slowly getting his reflexes in order and finding his feet again, then completely dominates them.
👍
You will never understand how happy you just made me by saying, “I think that’s the guy from Coocoos Nest.” Most people would say Back to the Future.
Since you liked this, I recommend RED and RED2 .. they're AMAZING! So much comedy combined with action you'll love every minute of em..
haha I also liked the "Romancing the Stone" type style, like it's a romance novel story telling.
I'll second red and red 2 , they're both excellent
Great movies Great stars
Great recommendation, yes. You'd love the RED movies Dawn.
The Equalizer and its sequel too, The Accountant too.
This had the same writer as John Wick. Dad wasn't only in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, he was also Doc in the Back to the Future trilogy
and uncle fester in the Addams family movies...
@@Metzwerg74 I saw some real uncle Fester joy, in that shotgun-in-the chair moment. Funny because he never held a gun in the Addams family movies, but he (Jackie Coogan) used a blunderbuss all the time in the '60s TV show.
And ofc, Sin City 2, Roger Rabbit, Buckaroo Banzai, many more.. edit: Allow me to recommend all those movies.
Taxi was a great role for him too.
During the Vietnam War, super glue was actually used to seal wounds. Many men survived because of it.
Still used.
the skin adhesive we use in the ER and OR is just sterile superglue
👍
I always carry Super Glue; it comes in handy when you get cuts
Loved this flick. Christopher Lloyd is fantastic!
BigbooTAY! TAY! TAY!
@@AlanCanon2222 "Shut up John Big Booty!"
@@BammerD "You're the weakest individual I ever know!" lol
@@AlanCanon2222 *finger
I love that you recognized Christopher Lloyd from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and not Back to the Future.
Another great reaction. “I’m a sucker for an old man…”
Had to grab my blood pressure pills after that one.😊
I saw this film on opening
night, when the Rice-a-rona was in effect.
I went to the theater because “Nobody” there, and, aside from me, nobody was there. True story.
Christopher Lloyd .,. well I'm sure other ppl have mentioned how famous and important he is by now. The black guy is RZA, a hugely important person in music! He's a founding member of the the Wu-tang Clan, and has done the soundtrack for a few huge movies.
8:53 If you go to hospital with a cut and they can use glue on it they will as it leaves less of a scar compared with stitches and is much quicker and easier to do and also instantly seals the wound vs waiting for your body to do that. Also if its healed slightly by time you visit they will use glue rather than breaking the seal you body has made already. Its essential kit for a battle field medic. The glue they use is just medical superglue, but its the same stuff.
👍
Fun fact: super glue was created for closing up wounds in emergency situations in combat (I think during Vietnam).
The chai throw is hilarious, hit him right on the jaw. i still need to see the behind the scenes for that part lol
The old man is Christopher Lloyd who not only played doctor brown in back to the future but also a Klingon in one of the star trek movies. I always thought he was reprising that last role for this movie. ☺
Actually yes, that's how those claymore mines are designed to explode. He was behind the anti-ballistics glass and the Claymore Mine is a directional charge... so it's not going to come back towards him, it's going to explode forward.
I knew that about claymore mines, but I was still surprised the already compromised glass held it back. Explosives are no joke, especially close to.
Correction. It's designed to throw 700 odd steel balls in a cone forward (out to about 250 metres), but it's still an explosive device with a danger zone around it. The unprotected blast radius is considered 16 metres (and individuals operating them are advised to be under cover within 100 metres of one because of ricochets and secondary missiles). They are devised to be operated from within a defensive position such as a trench. [One of the fun things VC scouts used to do was turn them around to point back at US troops and then initiate a mock "attack" on the position. Fun for everyone.]
Nobody would have suffered severe concussion damage (probably with severe internal bleeding and possibly a lethal and incapacitating haemothorax) even with the ballistic glass shield if it had been an actual M18 Claymore. Not to mention that the walls appeared to be concrete - which means a lot of those ball bearings will be bouncing right back at him (and everywhere else in the workshop) after they hit it.
Still it is a movie, and people are allowed to have fun in movies. Just don't mistake it for a trick that would actually work in real life.
I only just watched this one and I love it! John Wick + RED = Nobody. Great reaction, Dawn 👏👍
The "old man" was also Doc Brown in Back to the Future - and Uncle Fester in the two Addams Family movies...among other roles
Bob Odenkirk is an absolute legend! SNL, Mr Show, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul
He is the one that wrote the Matt Foley character that Chris Farley made famous.
Scottish is the best accent to hear "kitty cat bracelet" Best accent ever.
This movie is great. Bob really got in shape and made this believable. I hope we do get a sequel down the road.
The claymore bomb he used in the club and with the shield, is meant to explode in one direction, which is why it was safer to use especially with the shield
According to movie logic anyway. Still very deadly up to about 50m behind it. Everyone in that room would be dead af
Yes, your trunk has an emergency opener inside.
my reaction was basically the same as yours. went into it not having any expectations and came out astounded. waiting impatiently for a sequel and praying for a series of them. I'm shocked though the first reference you went to for Christopher Lloyd was Cuckoos Nest, most people do the totally shocked observation 'is that Doc Brown?!!'.
You should see The Equalizer movies. Denzel stars in these as a similar kind of guy but precise to the point of OCD
that could be mighty interesting. And I've never seen Denzel be less-than-brilliant in a role.
@@jean-paulaudette9246 yeah, easily one of the top ten male actors ever.
Glad you watched the credits and didn't miss the cut scene with his Pop, Brother, and van full of guns!!
He had to get that kitty kat bracelet... the daughter was the only one who seemed to bring joy to his life, had to get it back for her and it was under the couch the whole time.. lol I felt the same way as you. I thought all I would picture in my head was Saul but in a strange way he was perfect. Heard he trained 2 years for the action scenes. The old man also played Doc Brown in Back to the Future series. Pops was epic. He was so happy to be out of that home. I loved this movie. One of my top 10s.
Finally a movie with this type of situation where the wife isn't an asshole.
I grew up on the TV show "Taxi". It was about a Cab company in New York City. Christopher Loyd played a "burn out" druggie, and the company was run by Danny Devito. If you look at the film "One Flew Over The Coocoos Nest", you'll see them both in that also. The show was on in the 70's. Guess I'm dating myself huh??? I get great joy from watching you. You make my day, so to speak.
Awesome, best "bus-fight of the Year"..😁❤🤙
I do love the reaction of the Vietnam Vet on seeing his tattoo (the worst hand you can get in poker). His ability to recognise the out-dated FBI badge gave the reaction a great authenticity. And everyone else in the shop just wondering what the hell was happening...
But yes, Christopher Llyod (aka Doc Brown, John Bigboote, Kruge, Judge Doom, Uncle Fester, et al) was having the time of his life in this role.
the tattoo on Hutch's wrist is 7-2 off-suit, sometimes known as a Suicide Hand. it's the absolute worst hand to draw in poker. basically only someone who's the very best would have that. you're saying you're very bad news for anyone who runs into you. as we see.
Your laugh is the best thing ever, please never change :)
A couple of other movies in this style are The Equalizer and Equalizer 2 with Denzel Washington.
Hutch's tattoo, an off-suit 2 & 7 playing cards, is the worst possible hand in Texas Hold-'em Poker.
When Pops raises the remote control to lower the volume on his TV, he has the same tattoo on his wrist.
The Barber was wearing cuff links with off-suit 3 & 8 playing cards..
I hadn't heard of this movie but I watched it when you recommended it. You're right. Great movie!
So loved your appreciation of this film for what it was intended to be. It was made for (the likes of) you!
Say "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest" one more time.....😅😂
Hutche's Tattoo is one of, if not THE worst hand in Poker, The old guy in the Tattoo parlour recognized it as a Special ops tattoo, but not just special ops, Real Dark ops, people you want to send in after you have exhausted all other options. When Hutches old man takes out the two hit men in the old persons home, he holds up the remote to the orderly, Revealing he too has Playing card tattoo on his wrist.
Back to the future 1,2,and 3
12:42 Yes, in modern cars at least the trunk can be easily opened from inside.
I love how real it is. Portaganist isnt invincible. He's human
the shield Hutch straps the Claymore onto is a ballistic shield, made of a special material that can absorb massive amounts of force without being damaged. as we see.
and a clymore is designed to send most of it´s force and all of it´s shrapnells in one direction.... so the shield is more then sufficient to protect him...
@Metzwerg74 it is absolutely not. 1 and a half pounds of high explosive would have killed everyone in that room
I love this movie ❤ it gave me the Jimmy and Kim ending that I really wanted from Better Call Saul
As Rev. Jim would say, "Okay-Dokay". It's an in-joke.
RED (2010) Iam pretty sure u will like this one too.
This was such a great movie. I do hope a sequel is made, but I don't mind it being a one-off.
👍
Suggestion along these lines: "Grosse Pointe Blank" (1997).
The guy on the radio who comes out to save him is Rza from Wu Tang Clan.
Certain car models allow capability to open a trunk from the interior.
You asked the meaning of the tattoo? 7 of spades and 2 of diamonds is an offsuit pair meaning you should fold immediately. It's a tattoo commonly worn by mercenaries and hitmen so it's alternative meaning is someone who used to (or still does) kill for money.
SO much fun watching you have SO much fun! 😄 Nice one!
Christopher Lloyd insisted on walking around the set with all those shotguns lol
Boondocks Saints..... you will love it!!!
true...
Superglue was developed during the Vietnam war as a replacement for traditional stitches
surprised she recognized him the movie was 46 years earlier but i guess she hasn't seen Back to the Future yet. Oh cant wait
I loved that you recognized pops as the guy from one flew over the cuckoos nest and not as Doc Brown or Uncle Fester
His dad is doc brown from back to the future…. Great Scott.😎👍
I am exactly like you,I too couldn't get my head around Saul Goodman playing a "John Wick" character
Wow!! Just plain WOW!
This film is really fun 😁 so glad you enjoyed it!! Love your comments and energy when you watch action movies, hugs and have a great Day Dawn Marie🤍 lysm 😃👋🏻👋🏻
Btw the Dad is the Dr. Emmett Bown from Back To The Future , Uncle Fester on The Addams Family, etc 🤓 bye Queen!!!
First reaction video I’ve seen of yours….great, loved it. Subscribed!
I remember seeing trailers to kNobody’ and thought…this looks crap but loved it when bought it
I really enjoyed this review, glad you enjoyed the movie so much.
This movie is set 40 years in the future. The old man IS John Wick.
btw, his wrist tatto It's the 7 of Spades and the 2 of Diamonds-the worst hand in poker, especially if folding isn't an option. Its meaning is simple: if life deals you Hutch, you're out of luck.
Great movie! Great reaction! I enjoyed it all 😊
The old guy in this movie is most famous for the professor in back to the future
Girl, you are the best! Love your reactions, keep them coming.
this movie was better than I expected.
This movie fills me full of joy.
Red and Red 2 are fantastic and you will love them both!
The usual problem of those super villains they can never let go of their pride and have to give everything they have thats their demise. Instead of just letting go.
That is a Claymore and it flat says "Front Towards Enemy"
Christopher Lloyd whom you recognized from One Flew Over was in a TV sitcom called Taxi which ran for about five years from 1978. He had the best character in that show, Jim Ignatowski. Danny DeVito (Martini, in One Flew Over) was also in Taxi.
Lloyd was also the mad scientist in the movie franchise, BACK TO THE FUTURE.
The burglary rate in the US as of 2018 was a little more than half the burglary rate for the UK. New Zealand, with the most of all, was about three and a half times that of the US.
Yeah I LOVED this movie too! I was very surprised how amazing it was. Can't wait for the sequel!
The "old man" is the Doc aka from Back to the future
Great reaction to a great Film, subbed!💖
You need to watch RED!
and the Back to the Future movies.
And Kill Bill.
This was a great reaction
A great film. Honestly, it could've ended after the bus scene and have been a PERFECT short film, but I'm kind of glad it went along its goofy way...
Yeah this is a great movie, thanks for your reactions great channel!!
This is one of my favorite movies of all times. It has the classic good guy/bad guy thing going on and we all enjoy seeing bad guys go bye-bye. The grandpa is played by Christopher Lloyd who was Doc Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy. The wife was played by Connie Nielsen who was also in Gladiator. All movies you should react to if you haven't yet.
Yes that actor was in One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest. That was a good catch considering it's been like 55 years between the two movies. That's Christopher Lloyd. You might also recognize him from all the Back to the Future movies. That's Doc.
nice work as always DM thanks.
I absolutely love your laugh :)
Love this movie ! You're reaction made my day as always . I knew being a Monty Python fan made you the best channel to watch . Have a great weekend .
You might also like The Accountant with Ben Affleck.
Love this movie
This movie is awesome
I've never seen this movie but thanks to you ... I will now.
Goes the grab shotgun, I'm 401'st airborne rangers, the recon, we jump to prepare a way for others to follow. First in in all 4 theatres. Second in was the SAS, we cleared it, they went in and last came the 'mucians. As always. We went because it was the right thing to to and SSG is unmatched in the world under my lead. SAS went in so the 'muricans could be extra special safe.
Who am I? Well I'm nobody. I'm the guy you see on the street but never notice, I'm the random person that eats something in your café. I'm hell on earth to those who want it and I will not stop until the last of those that pose a threat to people, like you and your daughter or me and my daughter, stops. I am the random person who will do whatever it takes, because I can.
Thank you Dawn Marie for this fun reaction video! You said you'd like "Old Man with a Shotgun"; that movie may not exist, but "Hobo with a Shotgun" DOES exist!
The mob leader killed the guy with the glass because he wasn't clapping his performance, everyone else was, I imagine it is 'encouraged'
Oooh a Star Wars cosplay reaction, nice!
And I loved your reaction. Had no idea you were so bloodthirsty, or had a thing for badass old men! 😄 (call me)
LOL get her a bouquet of blooming ground flowers.
Wow. Good call on Cuckoo's Nest. Great movie. Danny Devito was in it too. And Jack won Best Actor!!
Good movie
The one thing I love about this movie is the realistic fighting.. Yes I love John Wick!.... But it's so Unrealistic when it comes to the fight scenes.. This Bus scene was totally realistic. Sure he got his ass kicked, but he definitely kicked their ass.
I love how much you love this movie. You are an industrial sized bucket of AWESOME 😆
Loved this flick. People compared it to John Wick and I think the fact that he was a family man, still involved with society, was formerly a family business and made himself look like a (no pun) nobody made it different and cool. I think I actually liked it more than John Wick even though Keanu is a badass and those movies were killer.
Hard to believe, but the fact that you know Christopher Lloyd only from ...Cuckoo's Nest, means you've never seen Back To the Future....!! 😲 Great Scott!!! 😲
Thinking ahead can we have a Scottish themed week around Burns night. Thinking Gregory 's Girl, Local Hero. Even oldies like Greyfrires Bobby or Whisky Galore. Thanks for keeping me smiling with your reactions.
