The guy says '20 Kilogramm' (German, btw) which equates to roughly sixty pounds according to the translation. Even though turning that back to metric is about 28 kilograms
Some fun facts about this movie: -The dog was killed away from John but when John regains his consciousness, the puppy was besides him. This could be mistaken as a continuity error but it can be implied that the dog crawled towards John in her last dying breath which is even sadder. -The crew struggled financing the movie because it was going to be made by two first time directors: Chad Stahelski (who was Keanu Reeves stunt double in The Matrix and the future director for all the sequels) and David Leitch (who would later direct Atomic Blonde, Hobbs & Shaw, Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train) and many people were really indifferent towards a movie starring Keanu Reeves, however, they managed to scrape by enough money even asking money from actress Eva Longoria (she was credited as executive producer) -The casting of the movie was chosen due to the actors living in New York because they want people who are just walking distance from the set and their home. That saved them a lot of money. - The club shootout was supposed to be longer but was later shortened due to financial constraints and when shooting the sequence, Keanu Reeves had a fever but was able to do it despite the circumstance. As usual, the reaction was great because you were noticing all the right things as to why this movie was great in the first place. The action, the world building, the atmosphere and cinematography and Keanu Reeves especially. I don't mind HornyFu trying to find unusual things to be hot and attractive but yea it was entertaining af nonetheless. 9/10❤
They put the dead dog infront of him just to be evil, so he'd wake up looking right at it, it had a broken neck, it wasn't crawling anywhere, stupid people piss me off.
Are you trying to say that they still had financial trouble in the 2nd one, that's just a stupid comment to make, you've also said a lot of other crap that doesn't make sense, josef & his mates put the dead dog infront of him just to be cruel, so he'd wake up looking right at it, nothing to do with continuity or the dog being able to crawl when it was dead.
There’s a character choice that Viggo makes during the scene with his son that I love. Notice how he pours his son the top shelf fancy vodka, punches him in the stomach, then he reaches under the bar for a much cheaper bottle of vodka for himself. Likely the one that he prefers to drink, grew up drinking.
It was discussed by another reactor who was familiar with Russian customs that Viggo not drinking the toast with his son is shown to mean he does not agree with what is being toasted, hence why he left his cup full on the counter and poured himself a new one. Which is an incredibly niche detail.
I love that the editing is constantly getting on Tofu's case for finding John hot when he shows he's very proficient, and all I'm sitting here thinking is "Yeah, competence and well-placed/managed confidence is incredibly attractive to a lot of people, myself included." Of course, the fact that Keanu has aged like the finest of wines certainly helps as well
Great reaction, Tofu. The whole John Wick series is a good time, but this first one's something special. Glad you liked it, and yeah, I'd be down to see you do the other movies in the future.
the first one was great because, as weird as that sounds, it was "realistic". The kill moves were realistic and john got fucked multiple times (dropped a floor, hit in his wound, rammed by a car...). He wasn't invincible because everyone else was useless. And without help twice he would have died. The later movies are complete garbage compared to wick 1. They just went fast&furious with it and escalated it completely in the subsequent movies.
@@XpVersusVista This movie at least nods in the direction of realism. The sequels become increasingly cartoonish. John ends up taking multiple impacts from cars, and falls from ridiculous heights, any one of which should at minimum have shattered every bone in his body. And he just gets up and sometimes keeps fighting.
This, Django, V for Vendetta, Gladiator, Inglourious Basterds, and some others I can’t think of right now are based on us fully buying in to ruthlessness of the protagonist, and they all do it so well that it becomes such a catharsis. It’s perfect!

Michael Nyqvist, who played Viggo, was Swedish by birth but was great playing a Russian mobster. Same with Peter Stormare, the actor who played Viggo's brother Abram in "John Wick Chapter 2" also born in Sweden and playing a Russian mobster. Peter played another Russian, the whacky Russian Space Station pilot Lev Andropov in the Bruce Willis movie "Armageddon".
The first clue was earlier though. Before accepting, Marcus asked if the contract was exclusive. He wanted to know if others would be sent to kill John. He took the non-exclusive contract to keep tabs on the situation.
The John Wick house is out here on Long Island in a very exclusive town called Mill Neck. (At the end of Horseshoe road right by the water.) -- The runway is at Republic Airport in Farmingdale NY. -- Ms. Perkins gets hers at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.. The hotel is 1 Wall Street Court in NYC.. In real life, it's an apartment building with currently ONE apartment available.
Fun Fact: When John goes to the Club to kill the kid and starts with the bodyguard outside, He says, "You've lost weight" and Francis Replied "Over 60 pounds". This was actually a test AND a code between the two. John was testing him to see if he would help him (which is why he lets him go and tells him to take the night off) and Francis replies Over 60 pounds (or 27 kilograms), a code for nearly 27 security guys/henchman protecting the boy. This is also being used in the military forces around to world too. VERY cool way to again show us how much of a badass and how respected John Wick is. Also thee one thing I like about Keanu Reaves is the amount of effort he puts into a role. You can find videos of his training sessions for these movies where he spends countless time at a gun range training with all sorts of guns to the point where he knows how each gun he handles will behave IRL and will actually handle them accordingly for things like checking to ensure the weapons are not jammed. You will see him handle a pistol in the second John Wick movie where he will kinda toss the gun in his hand a little to press down on the chamber because the pistol he is using at that time is known for having bullets getting jammed and is checking the chamber to make sure it is clear enough to fire. Keanu also went through 4 months of training, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day to bring his character to life. He also went through Judo, Japanese Ju-Jutsu, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. So Keanu is that accurate and deadly in real life. You can find a few videos of his trainings with a company known as Taran Tactical. Keanu also had help from former Navy SEAL and CIA Contractor Shawn Ryan.
30 minutes of Tofu hard thirsting over John Wick. As one does. Sign of excellent taste and culture. If Keanu Reeves and Adam Driver both dressed in bespoke black suits doesn't instantly make you want to become a double stuffed Oreo then I question your judgment.
They hit the jackpot with Keanu too, because the guy, despite being born in '64, still to this day does like 90% of his own stuntwork, and so they really didn't have to shy away from going wild with the action scenes, and could also afford to SHOW every bit of it, with extremely long takes for an action movie. Like "Bitch we don't have to worry about hiding stunt doubles because there are none"
I've seen from lots of her other post-editing commentary, that even she is annoyed/frustrated/confused when looking back on some of the things she said and did at the time.
BTW Keanu has lived a somewhat similar life to John Wick after the hitman thing. He lived through a lot of tragedy (wife, unborn child, sister, mom I think, and friend) yet he goes on with extreme humility
Ok, you got me hooked. This was a very well done and edited reaction, I was constantly looking for tells but in the end... You are either really good, or this was a true reaction to the movie, even though I can't believe there is someone that has not seen it. I feel you were invested when you kept referring yourself in the film. " OMG, Marcus is helping us " Liked, and subbed. Don't let us down, go get those subs.
I recently watched the first 3 John Wick films in preparation for the fourth. They're all such fun with the action sequences, and John is much more than a generic bad ass assassin, he has so many more layers to him😎
The primary director/writer of this movie was Keanu's double in The Matrix, and is a well known stuntman and coordinator. Turns out, he and his co-creator for this movie also know their shit regarding writing and direction as well. As movies overall go, this one is particularly good. As action movies go, it's a borderline masterpiece, and I don't throw that word around like some idiots do. I've used it on maybe 4 or 5 occasions in my 4+ decades of life. And they really manage to keep things going in the follow-up movies. They're not the same tone or story, though there is a clear theme across them all. But they definitely keep things fresh and keep the action going. It's everything the F&F franchise wishes it had been...and a lot of things it didn't even realize were possible.
I think my favorite part of the first film is the world building the whole secret underworld is so cool to me, happy to see you react to this hopefully we get the rest!
John: You've lost a bit of weight [How many guards are in there?] Francis: Over 60 Kg [there are 60 men in there protecting him...] John: Impressive [That's not enough to stop me...] Francis: Are you here on business? [Are you going to kill someone?] John: I'm afraid so. John: Why don't you take the night off? [Please stay out of it. I don't want you killed...]. Francis: Thank you Mr. Wick.
Keanu Reaves actually trained for months for this role. He worked with professionals to get really good with a gun so that he was quick and the stunts looked more realistic

Anyway, I want you to rewatch this movie on your own with this knowledge: The blue and Green is John's colors, meaning safe. Red is danger. Purple is uncertainty
The Francis scene is one of my favorites from this movie, just because of the inferred history between him and John. Francis respects him enough to give him accurate intel on how many guards are in the club with that code phrase, and John respects Francis enough to know that he wouldn't lie just to save his own life.
I'm always amazed at how ready audiences are to overlook that John Wick is a cold-blooded mass murderer, and his beautiful house was built out of a mountain of corpses.
@@danieldickson8591 and that's the fantastic part of the movie. Everything else is impressive but that is the crowning achievement. It's amazing to watch how well they did their job in the first 10 mins.
I am starting to feel bad when people say pupper is "cute". Not Cali. Hamptons on Long Island. Orellio is in Queens. Club and Vigo are in Brooklyn. Continental is in Manhattan. The interior design and actual exterior movie shots of the home are actually my former insurance client's home. So technically a million is way low. It is like 9-11 mil somewhere in that realm. Sixty was the backup inside. Thats why he let Francis live.
When Perkins was fighting John she placed her jacket lapel in her mouth. It’s a move found in Jiujitsu to set up a choke. One arm is used to hold the opponents head, the other arm is used to clear a path. Then you transfer your lapel from your mouth to the hand of the arm holding the head. This creates a loop of arm and lapel around the opponent’s head. The loop is then cinched to choke the opponent.
Those young punks didn't take John's car for the money, or even the rarity: it was about power. The son wanted it, and didn't like being told "no".

The issue wasn't just the car, Josef felt disrespected by John, because Josef felt he deserved deference and whatever he wanted when he wanted it.
Huge props, you're the only person I know that recognized the spot he and the dog walk off at the end is the matched spot for the wife collapsing,.
The “60 Kilograms” part is often overlooked and it’s cool that you sort of caught that.
“60 kilos” is code for how many guards are inside.
The guy says '20 Kilogramm' (German, btw) which equates to roughly sixty pounds according to the translation. Even though turning that back to metric is about 28 kilograms
@@cat_03tv ooooooh learned something new. Thanks ☺️
Some fun facts about this movie:
-The dog was killed away from John but when John regains his consciousness, the puppy was besides him. This could be mistaken as a continuity error but it can be implied that the dog crawled towards John in her last dying breath which is even sadder.
-The crew struggled financing the movie because it was going to be made by two first time directors: Chad Stahelski (who was Keanu Reeves stunt double in The Matrix and the future director for all the sequels) and David Leitch (who would later direct Atomic Blonde, Hobbs & Shaw, Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train) and many people were really indifferent towards a movie starring Keanu Reeves, however, they managed to scrape by enough money even asking money from actress Eva Longoria (she was credited as executive producer)
-The casting of the movie was chosen due to the actors living in New York because they want people who are just walking distance from the set and their home.
Also, hopefully you react to the other movies because the movies keeps getting better and better!
There is a trail of blood leading across the floor to where the dog is laying, it definitely crawled over to him.
It's actually the other way round, he gives him the cheap stuff because he knows he's going to throw it up.
@@bryancampbell2781to show to mean? Christ I have zero faith in people's use of English, it's actually scary.
The thirst is real in this one.
I think people see the 1st one as so good because we don't know what to expect, the subsequent ones we know what it'll be like.
the first one was great because, as weird as that sounds, it was "realistic".

9:19 That's the fun part, there's nothing more dangerous than a person with nothing left to lose.
It's impressive you've avoided spoilers on the plot of John Wick just based on the memes over the years used from the 1st movie 😂
she most definitely didn't. Never trust react youtubers.
@@joe.banana I mean, not everyone has the mind of a pop culture degenrate.
Yeah I don't understand how anyone that isn't living in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere without access to the internet could not know at least that Jon Wick is an assassin and his puppy died. Just from the zietgiest. Osmosis.
@@derikk3215 I dont wanna question Tofu cause she didnt know Creed and Rocky either lol but like yeah those John Wick memes flooded twitter esp involving the dog.
@@PricefieldPunk Well John Wick came out 9 years ago. Tori would have been what..like 15-ish? *unsure of her actual age* She very well may not have been on Twitter at the time or not paying much attention to any of the John Wick stuff.
" i jus know there gonna be best friends" me laughin hysterically knowin what boutta happen soon
It's not just about the car. Iodef's ego can't let John get away with saying no to him and showing him up when he thought he was being so sly by insulting John in Russian. In Iosef's mind it's a matter of "That @sshole direspected me and made me look weak in front of my crew! He has to be hunted down and punished!"
I was about to comment this exact thing. Basically just comes down to his fragile male ego 😅 and obviously his status as a crime boss' heir.
It's the truly weak men who feel the need to constantly assert their strength. Genuine tough guys know they have nothing to prove.
Yup, the car was only a vehicle (pun fully intended) for nursing his bruised ego
@@TheKiza02 To quote Charon from John Wick 3: "Well played."
Honestly a top tier reaction. I’ve seen a few reactions since John Wick 4 was announced and I can say I’ve enjoyed this one the most. Look forward to seeing your reaction for the other 3 ⭐️⭐️
Shame the actor that played the Russian boss is gone. Actor was great
The guy who plays the concierge too. RIP to two excellent actors.
@@AximandTheCursed both gone too soon was in denial that lance was gone at first.

22:20 How to tell someone what you are into without telling them. Someone protect this gem at all cost.
One of the first reactors who knew Marcus intentionally missed.
Can’t blame any of them. I just thought he was an old dude with tremors. Even after the second shot I’m like “lol is he just a terrible shot”
Fun Fact:
When John goes to the Club to kill the kid and starts with the bodyguard outside, He says, "You've lost weight" and Francis Replied "Over 60 pounds".
"he def knows where the cl*t is" had me rolling 🤣
Daisy crawled to John with her last breath 😢
The doctor was played by Randall Duk Kim, who had appeared opposite Reeves before, in "The Matrix Reloaded" (he was The Keymaker).
John is the clit commander, when it comes down to business. 😂
same person who WEEPED at the end of rdr is laughing at a dead wife
30 minutes of Tofu hard thirsting over John Wick. As one does. Sign of excellent taste and culture. If Keanu Reeves and Adam Driver both dressed in bespoke black suits doesn't instantly make you want to become a double stuffed Oreo then I question your judgment.
Was brilliant to watch her thirst over John 😂😂
Definitely agree 👍
Actually, Tofu thirsting over anything is a part of her charm and our entertainment.
I think she just discovered another side of her sexuality.
@@danieldickson8591 I've been getting into beekeeping lately!
The car is a 1969 Boss 429. Very rare. At auction, they sell for $300,000 - $600,000.
According to the movie director, the little dog crawled itself over to john to be near him when she died. :(
i could have gone my entire life without knowing this Msappeljack
The way your face lit up from hearing "baba yaga"
"Yo, he must be good"...😂
Great reaction. Still watching.
John is holding his hand over someones mouth and Tofu almost slides out of her chair. I love it. 😂😂
The only thing that made this reaction better was the ad for therapy that youtube played in the middle.
As always Tofu is all of us deep down, simping over Keanu being a badass lol
They hit the jackpot with Keanu too, because the guy, despite being born in '64, still to this day does like 90% of his own stuntwork, and so they really didn't have to shy away from going wild with the action scenes, and could also afford to SHOW every bit of it, with extremely long takes for an action movie. Like "Bitch we don't have to worry about hiding stunt doubles because there are none"
More than that, he TRAINED. He did all gun work himself, including many magazine changes, instead of doing the typical Hollywood "endless ammo" thing.
@@rmhartman Oh yeah definitely. In Chapter 2, specifically, he even does a few little flourishes that I'm like 100% certain were not scripted.
i love the commentary text/ jokes she adds whenever she is editing. Hilarious 🤣
I've seen from lots of her other post-editing commentary, that even she is annoyed/frustrated/confused when looking back on some of the things she said and did at the time.
I like how you appreciate the cinematography of the movie as well. It really adds to the world.
John: You've lost a bit of weight [How many guards are in there?]
Francis: Over 60 Kg [there are 60 men in there protecting him...]
John: Impressive [That's not enough to stop me...]
Francis: Are you here on business? [Are you going to kill someone?]
John: I'm afraid so.
John: Why don't you take the night off? [Please stay out of it. I don't want you killed...].
Francis: Thank you Mr. Wick.
Wait… I’m currently obsessed with John Wick and Keanu Reeves, then the Queen herself uploads a reaction to the first movie? What an odd coincidence!
Keanu Reaves actually trained for months for this role. He worked with professionals to get really good with a gun so that he was quick and the stunts looked more realistic
Don't you just love it when someone is about to watch john wick for the first time and they say aww that dog is so cute, and someone like me who has seen it is like... Oh this is going to be heartbreaking once the scene happens.
It’s like seeing a car stop on the tracks when you know the train is coming.
I knew exactly what was coming when he seen Ioshep at the gas station, you just knew nothing good was coming.
“So you’re telling me Helen dies, then Daisy dies and …”
Yep. Buckle in for the ride…
John Wick 4 is a work of art, it’s almost a religious experience.
Keanu legit took extensive tactical firearms training
I love how you're reacting to John Wick like Cortana does for John 117 in halo lol. Makes an already enjoyable movie even more enjoyable!
I would definitely be down for you to do the rest of the John Wick films
And she seems down bad for these movies.
I think she is so used to commenting on sexual scenes she has to make shooting one another in the face 5 times and then stabbing them with a pencil, somehow sexual? Love it!
For many people, sexuality is about power interaction. That's just the way some brains are wired. Also, as Tofu notes, many of the kills in this movie are quite personal and intimate.
That's a creepy fucking thing to say about someone, she should make a sex video just because she reacted to a movie, you need locked the fuck up, you're a danger to women.
This is amazing, you're basically going into the movie completely blind (other than the fact that you know there are four movies in the series)
They didn’t kill Daisy over the car. It was because he got his ego hurt by John
The daddy issues gaze 🤣 Love the humor in the editing.
Since these movies came out everyone at work is calling me John…
Don't worry, you'll get more horniness in the sequels
Oh she's gonna get plenty
When she started saying "our vest" and "our back" 😂
I can't wait to see your reactions to the next three. They each get better and better.
The words highlighted have a sub meaning. Like the conversation with Francis outside of the club and he says, 60 kg. He wasn't talking about weight, he was telling him how many of Vigo's people were inside
Ya know, if she hasn't seen it yet, she seems just the type to watch and react to all the Classic James Bond movies. She might enjoy them a lot!
Just discovered your channel today and I gotta say you are the only RUclips reactor I have seen that actually made me laugh out loud. Keep up the good work and definitely do the reacts for the other John Wick movies.
Rumor has it that Helen was Winstons daughter. That's why he treats John the way he does.

"that's probably the cutest damn dog i've seen in my life"...Que Emotional Damage...in 3...2...1... They didn't want the car. They wanted the power. And the kid didn't like being told "No."
Such a great movie! So glad you enjoyed it! Keep up the good work!❤
Interesting point to make, when asking the guard about weight loss, the guard was letting him know how many men were guarding Joseph.
**Is really hot and really sad**
Nice definition for John Wick
Anyway, I want you to rewatch this movie on your own with this knowledge:
The blue and Green is John's colors, meaning safe. Red is danger. Purple is uncertainty
14:40
"I love a good relaxing night of sitting down to watch a movie and then seeing like....violence"
Me too Tofu, me too 😅👌🏻
The Francis scene is one of my favorites from this movie, just because of the inferred history between him and John. Francis respects him enough to give him accurate intel on how many guards are in the club with that code phrase, and John respects Francis enough to know that he wouldn't lie just to save his own life.
Clearly, you need to watch the rest of the series...
Keanu really rocks a suit! Everyone needs a tailored suit in their closet!
He literally taught some fashion stylist how to wear a suit.
i have never seen someone so down bad while watching john wick
I love how quickly they make you take sides with arguably the worst person in the movie. It's a fantastic piece of story telling.
Probably because it's Keanu Reeves?
Well, as far as I know, he did only kill criminals.
@@CriticalCoen Even Dexter knew himself to be a monster. Wick knows bad guys fear him and he worked for them. He Knows he's a monster. Lol
One video where the person actually reacts rather then just watching the movie. Take the like.
I wish we could’ve seen an uncut reaction cause this movie has too many good moments
My editor and I edit my reactions in a way that includes about 90% of every reaction/comment!
“The puppy’s so cute”
Yikes.
But in all seriousness, you NEED to watch the rest of the franchise. The lore is interesting and keeps expanding.
The loop is then cinched to choke the opponent.
the rest of the john wick movies? sounds like a good time. let’s do it.
