I also think streaming services don't have all TV Series. It's incredibly frustrating having to search all of them to find what you want. Dvds are so convenient and easy to play. Great video mate !!
Hey Matty, I'm really curious why you chose to use the generic C5 Envelopes and the stamps, at a cost of $3.60, when you could buy the AusPost pre-paid untracked C5 envelopes for $2.98 per envelope. Their wait limit is 500g and 20mm thickness so it would hold any single TV series DVD.
Definitely a better option that isn’t it. I swapped to untracked in August and have asked the post office for the cheapest option. This is what they gave me. I’ll look into this. A cent saved is a cent earned 🤝 thanks for the comment
On the 4 Disc / C5 envelope needing 3 stamps ... a prepaid C5 envelope will let you ship 500g. ($3.60 vs $3.05)(Auspost - Post Charges July 2023 - Page 5) Great video btw, it's saved me a stack so far in postage.
Very good point about wanting a hard copy!!! What if, what if, your WiFi ever goes out??? And your left with just the phones hotspot?? But do you know how much actual time you get to stream with a hotspot?? To be able to have a copy of your favorite movies or tv shows, and a dvd player no problem with a WiFi or phone company going down and even if the power goes out and your the only one having a power generator!! Boom. Got mine.😂❤
Really valuable information, well presented, and well done at the end in linking to another of your videos. 👍👍👍 Your videos are becoming even more polished. Let's get you to 25k subscribers this month... you deserve it!
Hey Matt, loving the content I messaged you on instagram ..hope to see alot more of this content . It's funny I picked up this exact show today . Is it rude if I put the price under yours . Still new to reselling and you're helping me alot ! Going to try and learn shoes and hats next ! Thanks for feedback !
I find with dvds i sell for $10 or less I get a lot more of the "item didn't arrive" scenario, it sucks when that happens and puts a ebay jail on sales for a few days (imo), most buyers are honest but some aren't.
Hey Matt Have been watching for a long time love your content, I sell mostly video games and dvd’s in my spare time so great info on postage, wanted to ask if you could look into work around a for international postage? I recently sent a Wii game to the UAE which cost $32! Also would love a video on tips for what high value DVD’s and games to look out for
yes he does probably should have said an updated video as that was about a year ago and I you can tell he has learnt more about the category since then @@Lea_1113
For 5 to 8 DVDs, I'd put them in an AustPost Parcel Box. Flat rate of $10.60 to post, with tracking and it can weigh up to 5 kg! The boxes cost $1.14 each if you buy 100, which is about half price.
You get em so cheap up there though. DVD TV series sets in Melbourne are all about 8-15 bucks.....and most dont sell for that much. My op shops have basically put my DVD sales down to zero. I cant purchase them because there is no meat on the damm bones anymore. I do look at solds every night to see what sells for over 30 bucks but those dvds are hard to find. Op shops mainly have your mainstream titles which are a dime a dozen. In saying that i do come across a treasure at times that the op shops dont realise are worth alot.
It might not be for everyone. You’ve got to look at your own opportunities I guess. If found for the right price I can guarantee you they sell well on eBay
Who’s selling DVDs on eBay!?
I am if interested
🤚
Sure am! 3/4 of my store! 🎉
👋
Yep, 99% of my listings are dvds. Over $15,000 revenue for last 90 days.

Thanks!
I love dvds even for personal collection
Awesome video as usual Matt, thanks!
Learned alot. Thank you

Those envelopes are the best deal but don't get why the flap looses it's stick so quickly. A little tape & all good though. 😂
Great video. Full explanation of finding DVD’s, selling, posting. Thanks for making this video.
Love your work mate, you have got my partner and I into flipping. Need to chase myself down some Sullivan's dvds
Greaf video - I really like the way you edit your videos.
That means a lot to me! Thanks so much! :)

Hello, I am from Sri Lanka. eBay has banned the sale of DVDs and is limiting accounts. Please provide a solution for this. Thank you.
Good vid, you misspelt Seinfeld :)
Do you clean the discs before selling
Nope
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
good video Matt
Thanks so much for watching!
Does it matter if you write Foyles or Foyle’s in the title? Will your listing show up either way?
I would try to exactly match the title!
Is there nostalgia for VHS tapes too? Seems like some of those are worth a fair quid.
in my experience they dont comp up as well as dvd or blu ray. exceptions to the rule though some do sell well!

I have quite good collection of DVD tv shows in mint condition. Can I sell to you?
Sure DM me on instagram 🙂
As a North American, I had to rewind when you said you sourced dvds at "pawn shops" 😅
Lol aren’t you guys known for them?
@@TheAussieFlipper I heard "porn shops"
Hi Matt, can i ask what percentage of your buyers are from Australia and how many percent are outside.
90% AUS 10% international :)
I wasn't expecting the video this quickly after the poll.
I’m quick!

The profit is not free is a free trial
huh?
@@TheAussieFlipper he states that the eProfit is free and it’s not. It’s a seven day trial for free.
Sending c5 paper envelopes is red hot. Spend the extra 15c for the bubble mailer, your customer will appreciate it
I haven’t had any backlash or damage complaints??
