Legs has been saying the Pacers are one of the most fun watches on league pass so I give him props.
This dude just sat there and ADMITTED that ESPN purposely said "we're not covering the Pacers", despite the UNREAL season they were having. I don't care what "big city team" you're a fan of, you should be livid.
right????
More fuel for the fire. We know the Pacers love to be counted out. We're about to see them play their best basketball yet.
Did you not hear him say before that “I wanted cover the Pacers.” ?
Ain’t nobody want to see the Pacers.
This dude is a former nba player Tim Legler... show some respect "dude"
Legs: "I wanted to talk about Pacers but was told they are not sexy enough..." ESPN doing a disservice to spectators.
most exciting offense in the league and its not worth talking about.... Imagine being a sports news organization and that being the policy.
Average viewer doesn’t want to watch shows about the pacers
@@misinfluencemaybe the average viewer should want to watch shows about basketball
@@misinfluence yeah man show me what LeBron ate for lunch. That's what I want to see
This has been the case for the 40 years I have rooted for the Pacers. The game 7 broadcast in the last series was like a Knicks home broadcast.
Legler is too good for ESPN, hope he gets a job somewhere that can help him shine. one of the few TRUE NBA analysts
Nbc baby
What is “too good for espn”? What place is good?
@@ShriodGriffinthe one you’re watching is much better. The athletic is better. Literally everyone that covers sports does it better than ESPN. ESPN is sports for people making minimum wage in their 40s that only have sports but are too stupid to understand it so they need guys like SAS and Perkins to tell about how someone doesn’t want it bad enough.
@@ShriodGriffin Legler is too good for ESPN…
as a Hornets fan, the Pacers have been ELECTRIC to watch all year long. I'm glad they made that IST run to make some folks take notice...and now FINALLY those ESPN bozos have no choice but to give them at least some coverage. Really pulling for them to give a good accounting of themselves in this series.
If the Pacers play respectable defense they could win 2 or 3 games. They are a tougher team than people think.
“If the worst defense in the playoffs plays good defense they could win” yeah good point but if we’re just saying unrealistic hypotheticals:
“If Boston shoots 60% from 3 they will sweep Indiana!”
They have been 15th since they traded for Pascal. But keep listening to the same narrative cause you don't actually care.
If the Queen had balls, she'd be the king.
These guys just predicted Haliburton's performance in Game 1. "Tyrese passes up good shots for worse shots", exactly what happened in the last seconds of regulation when he inexplicaby dribbled into the corner. Great analysis from these two.
Thanks for respecting bball Tim and speaking up in boardrooms for pacers
As a Celtics fan I am definitely NOT thinking this would be an easy series at all. I think if we win this series, it easily goes to at least 6 games.
If Boston is who they are then it should be 5 games. Tatum and JB - All NBA, Holiday and White - All Defense, Horford - 6th starter. Porsingis coming back game 3. All 6 guys are two way players.
Bro I hate the Celtics but you guys should send these Indiana clowns home in no more than 5 games
Boston in 5. Indiana needed 6 games to get by a Giannis-less Bucks team and 7 games to get by a Knicks team who had half their roster in street clothes. People are acting like these Pacers are awesome, but the truth is they have one of the worst defenses in the league and finished with a worse record than the Cavs, who Boston just destroyed. How are the Pacers going to stop Boston's perimeter players? And when Porzingis comes back at some point in the series, what are they going to do about him? Sure, the Pacers can score, too, but Boston has a Top 3 defense and historically the much better defensive team prevails in the playoffs. And yes, people can point to last year's Miami series as proof the Celtics can choke, but I believe the opposite will happen... they have something to prove despite being the heavy favorites and they're a much better team with the addition of Holiday and Porzingis.
@@Mieslk2Why are you so disrespectful? Indy are the underdogs, they are a small market team. nothing you should be hating on? You want big city teams to win all the time, you don't like unexpected twists in sports?? You're pretty lame in my opinion
@chili015 ya hoping Boston in 5 so we can blow the rafters off at TDGarden with the series win at home!
Pacers in 4

Great chat
I respect Legler's and Russillo's expert opinions as they know more basketball than I ever will, but I'm going with a more logical approach on this one:
Indiana had the 27th ranked defense in the NBA this year. They're in the Conference Finals because in Round 1, Giannis didn't play and Lillard got hurt half-way through it and Indiana still needed 6 games to get by... and in Round 2, they played a completely depleted Knicks team who by the end of it had injuries to 5 of their 7 best players and Indiana still needed 7 games to get by. Boston, on the other hand, has won their 8 games by an average of 18.5 points. Of the 2 games they lost, 1 was due to a historical 3-point shooting night from Miami. Similar to the Pacers, they also had good fortune such that in Round 1, Butler didn't play... and in Round 2, Mitchell got hurt half-way through it. The difference is Boston didn't squeak by their match-ups. The Pacers are not really any better a team than the Cavs, they just play a different style, but it's not a style that would disrupt Boston too much. And then there's this... what happened to Boston last year against Miami has to be a massive chip on their shoulder that I think they come out this series with something to prove. I expect Boston in 5, winning several games pretty easily, especially with Porzingis coming back at some point. I'd be shocked if this Indiana team can hang in there any longer than that.
You are disregarding Vegas and entertainment value.
I agree with what you said but I think it will be Boston in 6. The 2 games Indi wins will be close but the 4 Boston wins will probably not be.
good analysis but Bos is not that great a team. they're sort of small, a terrible coach, too many 3s, a basic offense but they do have talent on the team. I think it goes 7.
This isn't really true. Indy's defense is in the top 15 since the Siakam trade. If you don't know about the Pacers, that's fine because the rest of your comment is just a collection of anecdotes. Boston too played injured teams to get here if you want to use that .
@@restlessyouthproductionslol dude they have the 13th/16th defense in the playoffs so far. That’s horrible.
Celtics in 5. They lose Game 2. The National Media loses its mind on Friday morning on all the podcasts & then when they win in Indy by 6-12, on Saturday, we hear nothing cause of Memorial Day weekend and take a 3-1 lead on the Tuesday because it’s like who expects anything of Indy. And then when they finish the 5 game series on Wednesday, the media is like that was boring and we will see them face completion in the Finals. And then they’ll get another week off
If this goes exactly like the other two series then the Celtics are just trolling us which means they’re winning the chip.
The Tatum takes have become so ridiculous they got Ant over Tatum when he’s literally done nothing Tatum hasn’t lmao Tatum finals mvp this year will solidify him as the 3rd best player in the league only Jokic n Giannis can say they’ve done more
That's cuz you have a brain and aren't reactionary...
People can’t get shake the Celtics’ end of game last possession futility that’s been an issue for years and Tatum is the biggest problem there. Everything he does is way too slow, he’s taking his time and dribbling to nowhere as seconds come off the clock and he’s forced to take a hideous, contested three.
If they find themselves in that situation in a critical playoff game, almost all the evidence we have tells us that they’ll put the ball in Tatum’s hands, again, he’ll make this same mistake, again, and he’ll force up a bad shot that clangs off the rim, again.
Ant is better than Tatum.
@@Ryan-by8ui Celtics had the 3rd best clutch win % and Tatum has the best clutch shooting numbers in the playoffs the last 3 yrs those are false narrative the media keeps spewing but Tatum is going to just keep winning so oh well lol
@@michaelmaniloff9297 He’s louder than Tatum sure but that’s it lmao
Pacers in 7

haliburton is a great leader
Next level like magic
100% right on haliburton i see the same thing. it didn’t happen until he came back from his injury… he went from a 42% shooter on high volume and tough shots to a 25% shooter airballing a good amount of shots. he just didn’t look confident in his ability. over the last few months it’s slowly come back and the last couple games he looked really confident. we’ll see what happens in the next series.
So much hate in that Indiana/New York series.. Hoping Celtics/Pacers have a healthy respect for each other and the game and play hard
the “uh oh” moment happened today, but then Hali fumbled it
As much as the celtics caught what for playing teams hurt?
When??? Thats all thats been said about the pacers.
I think Hali is in the Jayson Tatum-AD school of “alternating a great playoff performance with a bad one”
That’s a casual take lol Tatum has had 1 bad series his playoff life and he’s played over 100 games 🤦🏿♂️🤣
Define “bad.” He did dick for most of the Miami series. There’s tons of series where he underwhelms relative to the players he’s discussed with.
Literally his first playoff run so it’s too early to say that. He’s up and down because that’s how he played down the stretch of the season.
@@Ryan-by8ui that’s fair. He’s not necessarily bad by roleplayer standards, but he also hasn’t been the “get on my back and I’ll lead you to the promised land” guy either.
@@withalittlehelpfrom3 Yeah I was actually responding to the other guy. I agree that Tatum alternates between games of dominance and going missing. With this team they don't need him to drop 40 every night like say, Brunson with the Knicks but I hope he can improve his shot selection and not go 1-10 from deep in a one possession game because he's doing everything else well right now.
Legler!!!
I respect the Pacer's offense and they're absolutely lethal in transition. But I don't see how they get to four wins having to hide Halliburton on defense, and with Horford drawing Turner out of the paint with threes.
It's not like the Celtics are Head and Shoulders above the rest of the League
They're going to be a problem for my Pacers because they have so much length and playoff experience. Even still, if they didn't have Drew Holiday I would be saying that the Celtics probably can't wait to choke this away like they did last year and like they have done at other times.
Holiday going to be the X Factor I feel.
But I just put a screenshot up of a Facebook post I made after the Pascal siakam trade where I said we could be a finals team for the East for sure and that's before I got schooled on how much of a fcking DAWG Siakam really is.
I mean, I'm ride or die regardless and have been since 1994 when I was 7 years old. We are probably at the party a little early but that means we're playing with house money and we're going to be ectopic in the East for many years to come. People might as well get used to that now.
@@jamesmiller5331 The Celtics are head and shoulders above the East, especially based on all the injuries in the playoffs.
Horford is 6'9" and old. Toppin and Pascal can guard him.
@@Zinger3030 So who is Turner covering? If he stays in drop, they're leaving someone open on the perimeter. If he comes out, Indy doesn't have another effective rim protector.
They gonna make horford run. He gonna get gassed
LMAO both of y’all picked the Knicks to beat the Pacers last week.
Suddenly when the Pacers play the Celtics they’re suddenly a tough out.
NBA media are *WASHED*
95% of sports and NBA media wants the Celtics to lose so badly. If they win however, we’ll hear nothing but crickets, and excuses about how they had the easiest path and all the teams were tired and injured and there should be an asterisk. Calling it now
@@RittenhousesRiflePeople keep saying these teams have a realistic shot to beat Boston, then when they lose they become an example of Bostons cakewalk path to the finals lol.
Tyrese needs to spend some time with Reggie Miller. I really think that’s why the Pacers shot so well in game 7. They were all in with house money, no pressure at all. If the season ended there, fans around Indy would’ve been more than satisfied with this season.
here for all the russillo and legs🫡🫡
Thank you for just taslking sbout the Pacers
I predict the Pacers/Celtics series to go at least 4 games, and that the winner will reach the finals.
"Pacers should not be counted out".
They spent more than half the video talking shit about how bad haliburton played in 2 games lmao.
They both comfortably take the celtics.
Of course the pacers should be overlooked lol.
That’s how you lose against the best offense in the NBA.
@@zacharyhendershottCeltics have the best offense in the NBA, number 3 defense and number one net rating.
@@PutXi_Whipped Indiana was number 1 all season. 6th best of all time. Boston gets lazy, and they’re not good at home in the playoffs over the last couple seasons. Barely .500. This will be a great series.
Ryen can’t take that CELTICS are really good… his face says it all
Imagine if the Celtics had a good coach and system
I'm not counting them out from winning two times
This is probably a 4-1 series or 4-2 at best.
If halliburton tries to score early they will be okay
The longer the series goes, the more it helps the Celtics as it means more Porzingis.
No offense, but Porzingis isn't all that. He has been traded around for a reason.
They will lose in 5… the pacers aren’t that good honestly. They will get exposed on defense
Literally lol they'll have runs but Boston's defense is pretty ridiculous top to bottom. 5 games max if KP comes back after the first few games
This will go at least 6. The Pacers are incredibly hard to beat on there own floor so they will almost certainly win one of those games, and Boston has lost one at home in both of there first two series and they won’t have KP to start. Boston is really good on defense, but the Pacers are equally good at offense and far better at defense than they were early in the season, and they still managed to beat Boston in the play-in even with the worst defense in the NBA. They aren’t that team defensively anymore and they are playing incredibly locked in and poised top to bottom of this roster. If Boston has the same mindset as you they’ll be playing a game seven in Boston to decide it. The pacers aren’t to be trifled with and if there offense is feeling it they can beat any team in the league, and it’s far from rare that they are feeling it.
Aren’t that good 😂😂😂 Good one.
The Pacers ARE good, but they're learning. They pretty much waxed every team that you think right now is way better, decisively, in the regular season. They're young. They're coming.
I think pre-Pascal Pacers get smacked but this team is not a pushover defensively.
Like Tim said, BOS don't make it hard to guard, Tatum and JB have a habit of bailing out defenses.
Pacers are a for real team, I won't be shocked if Indy won the series just because how inconsistent and seemingly unprepared they are at times.
I am not a fan of Celtics as they are just too good with money and asset management but Boston wins 4-1 or at most 4-2 since they tend to sleep on games.
Legs...u da man, but the Celtics smoke in game 2
Boston is nothing special. Shoot way too many 3s.
It took him 49 seconds of fast-talking to get his question out.
Still faster than JJ.
The Celtics will be the Celtics and let down Boston once again. Boston fans should grow accustom to the song 'New Dark Age' by The Sound, because that describes the bleak future for Boston sports fans.
Nobody believes the pacers will win this series.... except the pacers 😂
Go Pacers! X-Factor --> #9
They just went 7 games with the most injured team in the world. Come on now
Pure delusion if you think the Pacers are winning more than one game in this series.
keep praying the celtics will lose cause there not gonna! banner 18 will shut em up
Two words: Joe Mazzulla
And?
I have no Faith in Boston's competitive character. That being said, there is no excuse for this to go past 5 games. If Boston loses this series, they have to trade Tatum.
LOL typical hater cognitive dissonance
Stop trolling.
Cs in 5, this is the easiest prediction, heat culture!
You can tell they actually watched the Pacers all year. Most of the media haven't watched the Pacers all year until the Knicks series.
Celtics play down to the level of competition.
Pacers will actually win two
And Boston will choke a game
And pacers will actually win a game
this aged horribly
NOBODY is beating the Celtics 4 times this postseason! 🥷☘️🏆💍🎊

Good Luck Celtics fans, let’s have a great series. - Pacers fan 🫱🏽🫲🏾
Legs saying he was repeatedly denied the right to speak about the Pacers by ESPN execs is why ESPN has lost LITERALLY half of it's viewers in the last 5 years. Legit it's been cut in half. Fans are going online & it's way more balanced. Ppl want fairness & truth, imagine that.
They stopped caring about sports and cared about clicks. Promoting clowns like Perkins and SAS that say such stupid things that people hate watch. But that only carries value so long until you’re looked at as a joke. And now they are by all real fans. Perkins was the final straw. He’s worse at doing his job than anyone has been at doing any job in the history of mankind.
Halliburton had a back injury. Idk how so many people don’t know this.
As a fan of just basketball.. the pacers are a top 5 funnest teams to watch
Pacers eliminated celts in season
Ant shoots 6/24 in a Game 7
NBA media: he’s the next MJ
Tatum shoots 11/25 from the field and grabs 10 rebounds in an elimination game.
NBA media: He’s not efficient. Why can’t he shoot 13/25? He’s not him.
I do hate how they pretend ant is this shooting great with handles and a bag...he ain't
I hate that people ignore the FANTASTIC roster in Minnesota
@@razkable Ant averaged 27 a game on 49% shooting from the field for the series against Denver. He’s averaging nearly 29 a game on 50% shooting for the playoffs. What have you been watching?
Is it wrong for the media (or anyone) to consider context? Edwards shot 6-24 vs the defending champs in a road game 7 during which he saw double teams most of the night. And even with that horrid shooting performance, Edwards impacted the game with lockdown defense in the second half on Murray, as well as a couple of fast break dunks and a last-second three to cut the Nuggets’ lead to one heading into the fourth, where his squad took over. He clearly helped inspire his squad by playing through his shooting struggles and finding other ways to impact the game (he led his team in assists with 7 to just 1 turnover, and he grabbed 8 boards).
On the other hand, Tatum showed up in a closeout game 5 vs what was left of an uninspiring Cavs team (no Mitchell and no Allen). If you’re a Tatum fan, then you should be insulted by the notion that anyone would be impressed by that. Isn’t Tatum supposed to be the caliber of player that’s expected to play that way (or better) vs a severely wounded opponent?
Malika Andrews. Stephen A. ESPN is HOT garbage.
Let’s Go Pacers Shock The World Again!
Hali is simply thinking his way through the 1st game of a series. He's downloading data much like Floyd Mayweather JR did in the 1st few rounds of a prize fight. He's recording things & then he'll start to problem solve his way through it. He's a player tht sees things differently. Ive seen him put up 40 plus pts & the Pacers lose multiple times this yr. They lose his 30-35 pt games often. They win his 20 pt games where he gets everybody going. Thts when they become unguardable. He just doesn't need to listen to what the media recommends at this point. I do wish he'd shoot more in game 1s because you cant just give Playoff games away but he's learning.
The media like espn has always hated the pacers. Been like that since the 90's when they first started going to the ecf's
Halliburton not looking for his shot is a problem, I’ll be damned if he ain’t making the rest these guys on his team look really good by default. Sometimes it don’t matter if you shoot the ball when you get everyone a wide open look every time down the floor.
Both DWhite and Jrue made the all Defense team today.

I think Celtics win in 6
Great convo fellas
No star has been given more with less expectations than Tatum
East was extremely weak this year
I'm an optimistic Pacers fan, but I can't see them beating this Celtics team 4 out of 7 times. I'll be hoping, and I think they'll get hot and win 1-2 games, but without futher injuries I don't think Indy can defend a team with 2 really good scoring wings. It's a different animal than guarding Lillard/Brunson-led teams.
my biggest concern isn't even anyone on boston's roster, it's the refs.
Celtics overlooking opponents, ask them how that went last year
They aint Overlook Jimmy Butler. They just lost.
Neither of these guys can comprehend how much smarter Mazzulla is than them😂
I listened to the whole pod and my god, Legler just REFUSED to let Ryen get a word in
C'mon now. Pacers would not have beat a Knicks with a healthy Brunson and (Robnson or OG). They don't play much defense. Pacers are doing great if they win 1 game in this series. With Porzingis it would be a sweep. I like the Pacers but I think they are early in their development. They will continue to improve.
Boston is great but they put up one mental stinker every other week and one terrible 3 pt shooting game the other week. 4-1 Boston, 4-2 if Indy goes off the one time we forget how to shoot.
@@holstorrsceadus1990agree. Gentlemen sweep if not 4-2. I’m leaning towards 4-2. Think one game you guys don’t shoot good and then the other pacers offense just goes off.

The media keeps trying to hedge all season that Boston “has no excuse not to win!”, “easiest path we’ve ever seen”, etc but simultaneously saying every team they play has a real chance to win. Some have even picked other teams to win the title after saying this.
Both of these things can’t be true. If you believe Boston is so good with such an easy path, you can’t simultaneously believe they can be taken to distance by teams like the Pacers. It doesn’t check out.
