As a Mavs fan no I wouldn't rather just be blown out. We gained a ton of momentum and confidence it doesn't matter how big we go down we can fight back. Great game you can't go down 31 and kidd had a few coaching decisions. Fun game either way.

Problem is not only was the game in Dallas but Kawi wasn’t playing. If Dallas won game 4 they win the series up 3-1. That said it was a great game as the Mavs did show heart coming back from 30 points. I’m rooting for Kyrie & the Mavs but IF the Clippers are healthy I think they win in 7

Clippers tend to relax after a big win, so they’ll lose game 5, but win game 6 and game 7 decisively and they’ll lose the 2nd round. Hopefully the vets realize they can’t keep doing this and win game 5 and 6.

I feel like mavs fans are talking themselves into a glass half full situation but I don’t think there’s momentum to be gained from a loss at home, getting down 31, taking the lead after all that energy expended then gagging it away the last 2 min. Just don’t see it. Seems more deflating than anything.

Even if the mavs lose to the clippers in the first round I still like their chances going forward. If Luka was healthy, I am sure the would have won in 5 against a pretty good Clippers team with a good head coach. The main guys beside Kyrie are 26 and younger.
They have the 2025 & 2031 first round picks, young prospects (Omax, Hardy, Green) and an expiring contract (Hardaway) to trade. Everybody is on a reasonable longterm teamfriendly contract. Very tradeable. Mavs are flexible going forward. This season Luka made a step forward closer to MVP, Kyrie played the best basketball in a couple of years, Lively and Gafford are a great center rotation, PJ has already proven he can be a starter.
Their bench is good (Exum, Green, Kleber, Lively).
Compared to a year ago I really like their trajectory.
