These videos have been phenomenal. You two do great work together! If the Pacers win it all I think Samson has to become a full-time Pacers fan and writer hahaha
Caitlin is on point few seasons, back from when she was in Indy cornrows. But with the video clips, I can finally understand what she is talking about 😅
So happy we get another round of this! The two best basketball analysts on the ECF. I guess we will start seeing Boston fans join this pod now. Pacers rock! Amazing surprise :). 1994, 2004, 2014, 2024 Pacers at ECF. Who would have believed?
Long-time Celtics fan (going back to 1975) here. I really appreciate so much amazing analysis cutting through the noise that comes from so many personality first, last, only podcasts. I'm going to keep coming back for your excellent work!
Found you through Samson, I'm not on twitter at all so glad I finally found you on yt. I'm a Raps fan and I think your convo's with Samson are always fantastic, keep up the great work!
I've always enjoyed your analytical mind and your honesty. You have always been one of my favorite people to listen to. You know your stuff and never hold back. I respect that and look forward to following your channel. 🤟
This is unbelievable but expected when the pacers win.. all media is taking boston to win the chapionship when game 1 of both conf. Finals still not been done yet. Yes pacers need to grow more as a team to atleast win this series but cmon give pacers credit.. That why i love listening to this 2, as they dig more on the facts of the strength and weakness of the team rather than other media outlet jist giving their thoughts without proof.
The lopsided pre-game, in-game, halftime, and post-game commentating from ABC/ESPN drove me to search for new Pacers analysis outlets. I'm happy they drove me away, because this is some of my favorite analysis for any sport
I dont know if its true but base on what i saw do you think if boston get more shots at perimeter that would be difficult for pacers in defense? I saw the knicks/jalen brunson in particular he was more successful on perimeter rather than 3 or at paint. If jaylen or tatum attack thru perimeter shooting it opens up more at the paint or at 3pt line
The Pacers have gotten much better since they played last. If the Celtics come in thinking they have already won this series they could get caught slipping. The Celtics are at home and have been resting so I think they’ll win game 1…but it’ll be a war after game 1.
As a Celtics fan I'm 50/50 on your brown/Tatum . Brown(241) more powerful than Tatum(223) granted he like almost 20lb heavier(it's been fact checked this yr). The difference is Tatum much better at drawing contact with a array of wiggle and finesse while brown is more of a bull in a china shop at delivering the contact and a smart defender like tj & to some degree Nesmith can draw offensive charges on him. this is What Miami use to do and what Cleveland started to do game 4 and 5(games he had 4 to 5 fouls). What you don't wanna do is Tatum start in the high post on mismatches getting in a groove and brown getting easy baskets in transition and off cuts or show with a wide lane to the basket.
It'll be interesting to see how the Pacers will fare against their first healthy playoff oponent. They've needed 13 games to dispatch a Giannis-less bucks and a Knicks team with up to 7 injured players, so now is the time to show what they're made of. The Celtics can drop a game due to their arrogance, but I'd be surprised if Indiana takes them to 6.
You don’t want hali on d white cos he’s the secondary ball handler and you don’t want hali fighting over screens and you defo don’t want him on the jays that leaves Jrue. Jrue can just post him up he’s way stronger you can’t hide vs this Boston team
@@Nick-zl5xf they’ve been posting up horford if he had a mismatch this year and if they don’t horford is such a good screener he’ll just get hali into action
The Pacers have scored 1.297 points per chance on his post touches. The only two players who have scored more efficiently out of that action are Tatum and Brown, among those w/ at least 20 posts. So, no, he’s not missing half his shots.
That was a call-back from a prior episode. Also, they aren’t “his Raptors” or “his Pacers” - he’s not a fan. He’s just covering basketball, and he’s very good at it.
@@mugarbelennon1578 Knowing Samson quite well, I can tell you that nothing could be further from the truth. We've recorded numerous podcasts together about how much he enjoys Siakam's game, including in the aftermath of the trade: ruclips.net/video/-esTwKeKsPc/видео.html That was also the case following Siakam's standout performance in Game 6. No one has written better, highlighting the quirks and nuances of Siakam's game over the course of his career than Samson. He isn't a "hater" about anything with regard to basketball or how he covers it.
You can only play and win who comes in front of you. Any champ team needs to be able to reach finish line with enough fire power. Any good team need to take advantage and adapt to who is in front of them. Great learning experience to the Pacers for the next few years to use and improve, hopefully.

And this podcast needs to be a seasonal thing
I'm not a Pacers fan, but I think Caitlin's analysis is awesome. I hope she covers more of the league at large.
That’s very kind of you. Glad you’re enjoying the work.

This was frankly fantastic. As a C's fan I hope this series goes seven games so I can listen to as much of this as possible!
I really enjoy both teams, so I would like to see the same.

Make these permanent!
Nice and smart content arrived ))
Glad Samson made the worst 2nd round team joke himself. Because I was going to hold it against him ‼️
If you suggest tatum vs pascal then offensively they need more offense from myles..
Go Celtics

Get your brooms out fellas
No point in doubling Pascal ever, when he misses many more shots then he makes.. and that's always one on one.

Clown he is shooting 50+ from the field
His CRAPTORS got swept by the wizards and swept in the ECF. Dude has some nerve making jokes

Pascal is overrated, Mr. I Want A Max. He's decent in the midrange. Stays with his man on D. No blocks/steals. Little Rebs.. Misses 60ish% shots.
Lol clown 50+ FG is more that half, you just hurt pascal in ECF lol
Beat half a squad, don't feel too special
That "half a squad" was favored in EVERY game at MSG. The Pacers already BEAT them at MSG with their WHOLE squad this year. Yeah. It's special.

Typical bum take
Boo hoo, you should not have given away Obi. We will have a year more of experience when we beat the Knicks next year.
