Love this video! I met my boyfriend at a Bible school in Germany! We were supposed to travel over Christmas break with a group of friends but everyone backed out. Luckily we found another guy and the three of us traveled together. It definitely helped that me and my now-boyfriend hadn't kissed before or been physical (except for holding hands and hugging). God definitely protected us and neither of us felt tempted. It was a time to get to know each other and on that trip he asked me to be his girlfriend. :) Now that we are back home, I wouldn't go on a roadtrip alone knowing what could possibly happen. Definitely looking forward to marriage and traveling together!

Well, my husband and I went on several trips together before we married ... more than a week, slept next to each other (mostly in a tent, though), we did kiss and cuddle ... and we still were virgins on our wedding night. We just wanted to save sex for marriage and we did. Nothing is impossible with God's help and a bit of determination. (And having sex too early is not worse than lying or being greedy - so ...)

Me and my husband did no trips while dating - some “mini” day road trips to places a few hours away, back home the same day... a fun way to spend time and yet less tempting! And then our first trip together was SO exciting.
This was such good advice I do think that in like really public places I think it’s ok to hold hands and maybe even kiss sometimes because there is no harm in that it’s not like something is going to happen around a bunch of people but I do think that when you’re alone it’s good to set boundaries thank you for the tips❤️❤️

I had to think about this issue a lot recently, and on top of the risk of temptation, there is also the issue that other people watching (esp non-believers) will *assume* you are sleeping together even if you aren’t, and find it amusing and raise their eyebrows. On top of that, younger Christians watching will likely see it as an example, and as Romans says, we shouldn’t do things that may cause our weaker brothers to stumble :) we are Christ’s ambassadors in a watching world so we have to be careful! I visited my boyfriend who now lives a couple of hours away a week ago. The trip went from being 2 nights to 6 nights. He had a workplace apartment AND his new apartment because his days at the workplace apartment weren’t up yet so I stayed there while he stayed at his new place. We made it a point to read our Bibles and pray together every single night since we were together pretty much all day. It made it so much easier for us since we made it a point to honor God while alone. So if you’re a Christian and a virgin and you ever spend that long with your bf or gf (which I also don’t recommend, because we struggled. Physical touch is our love language.), I highly suggest spending time with the Lord together.

Me and my boyfriend debated driving 9 hours to visit friends, but after talking with my parents they discouraged it. They thought that even that amount of time alone together in a car could lead to temptation and was too 'intimate' of a trip for us. It was my choice to make in the end and I decided to take their advice, but I'm glad I did. While I do not think anything would've happened, I definitely think traveling alone together should be saved for marriage. There's honestly no reason to not wait :)
If you can't spend 9 hours alone with your significant other and enjoy each other's company without the focus being all about "OMG WE'RE ALONE TOGETHER AVOID SEX" then honestly, I don't think you should be considering marriage with that person. Lust is a terrible foundation for a relationship. After you are married you're going to be spending innumerable hours together NOT having sex, if you can't spend time with your significant other now without the focus being sex (or avoiding physical intimacy) then you're probably going to be pretty bored with each other when you get married.

Honestly, I think this is nuts and more self-obsessed and idiolizing sex more than couples who are having premarital sex. If you can't spend time with alone your significant other without the focus being sex (or constantly thinking about not having sex), your relationship is on the wrong foundation. My husband and I communicated our boundaries to each other early in our relationship and those boundaries were never tested or crossed out of the love and respect we have for each other. We traveled together and stayed in the same room and nothing inappropriate happened because sex doesn't just "happen" accidentally, it's a conscious choice and a choice we both agreed was not for us at the time.

I think day trips are definitely the best option, and while I think your tips are certainly helpful if a couple is wanting to remain pure before their wedding day, then yeah...JUST WAIT and do the trip after you get married! 😂 No reason to put yourself in a potentially bad situation. Me and my boyfriend debated driving 9 hours to visit friends, but after talking with my parents they discouraged it. They thought that even that amount of time alone together in a car could lead to temptation and was too 'intimate' of a trip for us. It was my choice to make in the end and I decided to take their advice, but I'm glad I did. While I do not think anything would've happened, I definitely think traveling alone together should be saved for marriage. There's honestly no reason to not wait :)

If you can't spend 9 hours alone with your significant other and enjoy each other's company without the focus being all about "OMG WE'RE ALONE TOGETHER AVOID SEX" then honestly, I don't think you should be considering marriage with that person. Lust is a terrible foundation for a relationship. After you are married you're going to be spending innumerable hours together NOT having sex, if you can't spend time with your significant other now without the focus being sex (or avoiding physical intimacy) then you're probably going to be pretty bored with each other when you get married.
J Globetrotter Haha, no, that wasn’t the deal at all!! It was my parents strongly encouraging us not to - they’re pretty conservative when it comes to that kind of thing. Like I said, if we had gone on the trip we would have been fine. I just wanted to respect my parents, and also, I like the idea of keeping any sort of trip for our marriage. :)

I’m really glad y’all made this video. People may get the wrong impression from knowing y’all traveled together while dating and think that it’s easy to do. In reality, I think most couples would probably end up stumbling and later regret it so I appreciate that you emphasized the wiser choice of waiting to travel until after you’re married!
My boyfriend and I go on trips together...but only single day trips! We know full well that the temptation of staying the night somewhere together would just be too much.

When I was dating my husband we did day trip and love them as a couple and it took all the temptation away since they were a day trip.
I'm traveling to California from Canada with my future husband in August, we have boundries in place and will be travelling with and sleeping in the same room as another couple. I'm not concerned at all.

Honestly, I think this is nuts and more self-obsessed and idiolizing sex more than couples who are having premarital sex.
If you can't spend time with alone your significant other without the focus being sex (or constantly thinking about not having sex), your relationship is on the wrong foundation.
My husband and I communicated our boundaries to each other early in our relationship and those boundaries were never tested or crossed out of the love and respect we have for each other. We traveled together and stayed in the same room and nothing inappropriate happened because sex doesn't just "happen" accidentally, it's a conscious choice and a choice we both agreed was not for us at the time.
