How To Use Calculations Question Type in Kobotoolbox from Beginners to Advanced Level

Some advanced forms may require an internal calculation to take place as part of the form (rather than afterwards during the analysis). This can be done by adding a Calculation and writing the mathematical expression into the question label field.
This video, I provided step-by-step instructions on how to add calculations while using the form builder.
The following are the problem solved in this video.
Please note that this is not in anyway the method for determining level of tuberculosis conditions. This is just an example for the purpose of this video.
Simple calculation type
Calculate the number of male student and female student in the class
Determine if respondent is poor on non poor based on his/her monthly income using 1 dollar per day threshold.

Yes, it’s the same process. Just try to do a sample of 4 options then try the calculation field on it. I’m sure it will work.

Use text to represent alpha numeric. Text can accept both numerical values and text. Or probably I don’t understand your question?
