      Maybe you have money or got those really cheap but this still hurts my soul as a Quad that you'd even use a low range F3 for anything in support of this model. (Smaller body but awful range when compared to the generation before it) LOL. Bless your heart and enjoy soccer.

    Congrats on the new chair! You will love the F3, really the only thing you need to worry about is those bearing caps on the back casters, they can pop off easily. But I imagine you can find something to keep those caps on their tight.
    Also that forward tilt feature on your new chair is actually called per mobile active Congrats on the new chair! You will love the F3, really the only thing you need to worry about is those bearing caps on the back casters, they can pop off easily. Also that forward tilt feature on your new chair is actually called permobil activereach, It allows the user of the chair to lean forward to reach things. I’ll find the link to the video and send it to you through Twitter.
    Congrats on the new apartment, looks like a nice place.

    the chair is the same like the F5 there been 2 diffrent kinds, like the F5VS and F5 active stand. the diffrent is the Active stand (like i have) is not driving when active stand. the F5 VS can stand 100% upright that one is driving when standing. mucht better! the one you have seems to be a Active stand

    Hi Dan I just got a new chair, it is a Permobil M1 and I was wondering what your thoughts are on that chair? I do find it more comfortable and the suspension seems better than my old chair but I am not really liking the responsiveness of the steering, and it seems slower than my other chair witch was an Invocare?

    • @TotallyNormal-
      @TotallyNormal-  5 лет назад

      i haven't personally seen an M1 in person.. BUT if its got a gyroscope stabilizer, that explains the lack of steering performance.. its possible to tune them up a little bit, but not all dealers are able to make the adjustments for that. (some of it is OEM locked)
      i just programed my F3 today, and its got the gyro.. but was able to get it set so its a lot better.. but theyre nothing like the old skool invacare chairs.. that's for sure! if the M1 doesn't have the gyro, it should be able to be adjusted with a handheld programmer, or a USB dongle. check with your dealer and see if they can make some adjustments. usually they dont charge for tuning on new chairs right after delivery..

    Do you prefer using front wheel drive chairs? Was curious because I have only had mid wheel but mostly see other people in front wheel.

    • @TotallyNormal-
      @TotallyNormal-  5 лет назад +1

      Yea I like front wheel drive for running around in small places.. also less castor wheels to get stuck on things. BUT front wheel is less stable... depending on the chair.... I seem to be able to maneuver into tight spaces a lot easier though.

    • @SkipHDP
      @SkipHDP 5 лет назад +2

      Hi Derek. I have used front, mid, and rear drive chairs over many years and really prefer the mid-wheel drive. To me, mid-wheel is more natural and you don't have as much overshooting and undershooting turn issues. There is no one right type - it's more what works best for you. They keep making and selling all 3 models, after all. If you can get a loaner front wheel to try you can compare and see what you like best. Take care.

    • @TotallyNormal-
      @TotallyNormal-  5 лет назад

      Well said. Try and get into as many demo chairs as you can, or try out the 3 types. Maybe setup some cones or obstacles and do a little slalom with each type of chair. You’ll know as soon as you try the one you like! Most ppl like mid wheel FYI

    Can the back platform be moved back or forward on the chair without affecting the seating.

    • @TotallyNormal-
      @TotallyNormal-  2 года назад

      with the configuration on the chair in the video, yes.. the back, and leg rests can slide forward and backwards a bit (independently from each other). but the seating system as a whole is fixed in place. on the older chairs with a single post seat mount(or lift) the entire seating assembly can also move forward and back about 3-4"

    • @albertchavez7090

      @@TotallyNormal- Can I move just the back assembly without moving the seat or foot rests. The problem we are having is the foot rest assembly is too close to the bed so we are trying to move just the back to be closer to the bed. Any ideas. Thanks

      @@TotallyNormal- The chair is new it is a F3. Next question is how to do it.

    • @TotallyNormal-
      @TotallyNormal-  2 года назад

      brokenwheelchairs.com/page-8/
      check the F3 service manual in above link.. they haven't updated it for the newest chairs.. BUT its pretty similar.
      ive also got a video adjusting another chair, to at least show the process..
      ruclips.net/video/xScAJgEOYwM/видео.html
      its for an M3 - but the process is pretty much the same :^)
