Admech also hitting on 4's with very rare rerolls makes the game swingy. Units have a 50% chance of doing nothing with their low accuracy low volume of fire weapons. Keep in mind admech got absolutely fucked by twinlinked, every lascannon in the army got its shots cut in half. And therefore their damage potential more than halved pared with the bad BS.
Tak, I want to thank you and your staffs' hard work in making this channel come together. You guys consistently entertain me with a game, that by all accounts, is normally boring to watch but fun to play. On your channel, this is hardly the case. Keep up the great work and I am enjoying seeing you guys grow exponentially!
The team is very dedicated to making content that is entertaining for this community we love being a part of. Comments like this help keep us all motivated so thank you!
Yeah genuinely great job on turning this game into something that’s fun and legible to watch. I’ve not played 40k, but have a really good time watching your videos. Keep up the good work!
That was the strangest series of rounds I've ever seen and I loved every bit of it. First time seeing imperial knights and I have so many mixed feelings. As for the bet I say do both! Trade them!
This is the best Wargaming video I've ever seen. I love the little animations and the announcer's narration. It helps understand what is going on, while also making it entertaining, something most channels are definitely lacking.
"Admech are really struggling right now" Last time they were on this channel they tabled Space Marines. This time they practically tabled knights (one of the strongest factions in the meta right now) in turn 1. Then tabled it in Turn 4, only losing because tabling isn't an autowin, and even then by only 3 points.
Just keep in mind the SM game had a pretty disproportionate amount of bad rolls for the SM player, and this one the Admech list was 100% focused on anti-vehicle
if admech go first they are brutal with the bonus AP, but a lot of their stuff feels expensive for its output and durability. they can definitely still work if the pieces come together, but they can also flub horribly and easily
@@cuboidham I agree, but Admech has always been the “High skill floor” faction, so its to be expected. Def need a points drop though. Maybe, say, 10 points on everything not a character with some units dropping a few points more?
To be fair they brought an Imperial Knight to be a door stop to stop the other group from being able to squish Admech, so I wouldn't call that so much Admech performance.
This was a fantastic game. It showed some of the stranger side of 40k games, but also still displayed sportsmanship from all parties :) thanks y'all for a great batrep
NICE! Great report, fellas! So cool to see two games!! What a difference an initiative roll makes. This one was much appreciated, my thanks to everyone involved.
Moonbreaker looks like such an interesting way to get into both the game aspect of tabletop and the painting aspect! I'm genuinely excited to check it out.
We like it! We do get a decent amount of digital game sponsorship requests and this one seemed a good fit. You get to paint in the game and the gameplay is very familiar just digital instead.
Are you insane Tak? You let Bridger bring Knights? The only thing you could have done that would've had worse results would have been to let him bring his golden boys.
Yknow, since Tak won the first game and Bridger won the second, It is safe to say it should be BOTH. But Tak gets priority and sends Nick away first, and then once Nick is back TT sends Adrian to Canada
both! hard to choose. Love Play On, but Nick is one fun player to watch. (really all of you are fun to watch). Thanks for your effort and it really has brought me into understanding the game a lot better. I love the lore but I've been hesitant to play the game. You probably are converting me to playing one day!
Depends on what sort of mission you are running, in "Only War" you can win by killing the opposing army rather than by points, points only come into play if both armies are still standing.
I am summarizing here but in Leviathan Chapter Approved Missions it is: End of Battle If a player no longer has any models remaining the other player may continue to play. Determine Winner Based on points.
WTF is happening in this game?! I was laughing SO hard at this..... xD Good grief..... Thanks for showing me this bizarre match-up. It was hilariously well-made - and it made my day, guys. :)
One of the things I'm interested in for this edition, is the allied units. I'm not sure if Mechanicus gets Knights as a unit, or if its still an "allied unit," but its nice to see Knights with the Admech.
This was a really cool game, loved seeing all those knights on the board - once again, was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who was gonna pull ahead! Great video
It's kind of funny that last week, I made a deck exactly like this but the orange paladin was replaced with a warden. Its a very versitile deck, and does well against most, except for the mechanicus.
This will get lost in the void but the word onager is pronounced with a soft g. It has a real meaning too - it's a ancient Roman seige weapon. I love these 40k videos you all make so much, and I will continue to binge until there are none left, but every time you all say onager I twitch. (p.s. If this is some Warhammer lore thing then I stand corrected)
Appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Between the English language already being the way it is, and then mixing in people's dialects and accents, I know we can't be accurate for everyone. Then there is also the problem of being accurate, but not being the popularized way of saying something to an audience or region. It is an uphill battle but we always appreciate these suggestions.
@@PlayOnTabletop @PlayOnTabletop wow, thanks for taking the time to reply to my pedantic post. Now that I’ve seen it this was a lot of fun. Idk if you guys have a Sisters player but I wonder if the knight into that list would have a similar effect for an army struggling in this heavy armor meta
Haven't ever been able to play or make anything since I'm the only person I know that likes 40k, but have wanted to make a custom knight for forever. Was cool to get to see how they work here

As an Admech fans, I REALLY feel satisfyed for the resultKeep going One question: Why don't let Manipulus lead The Breachersas my testing result, the output will be much higher than Dominus
I only have one of each character painted. In a previous game the Manipulus led the Breachers and also had the enhancement for Sustained and Lethal, and it was great but I felt Lethal on Destroyers would give them a chance to be effective. Also, the resiliency of the Feel No Pains in this game ensured I had more guns on the battlefield longer which proved to be deadly for things like the Vengeful Fallout stratagem.
There is a Core Rule Book Mission that nets you a win if you table your opponent. I think it works well as an option but not as a general rule because if two players decide they are okay with it and can have fun with it, great. I think what points based victories does for the game generally is mitigate certain hyper aggressive lists or play styles that may not be fun for an opponent.
"You can't have this objective, I'm going to die."
This is why I love 40k games so much. You couldn't write a funnier outcome.
Seriously tho, what on earth was that ^^
To be fair,
that is like, the most Imperial Knightly thing to do.
I thought the core rule book for tenth says the tabling your opponent is now a win? It's like the last thing that it says in the core rules PDF...
Thats my understanding to@@neon-zaku
i read this in mary janes voice from that spiderman game on ps2
Respect to the Castellan for """willingly"""... ensuring... the victory.
Yes. "Willingly"...
"Even in death, I serve the Emperor. _Especially_ in death, in fact."
High emphasis on “willingly”
You let Bridger play Knights?! You only have yourself to blame...
I take full responsibility
You played Bridger you underestimate his power to roll 4s and 9 inch charges
Knights make the game so swingy it drives me crazy but you definitely need to trade Nick and Adrian since you technically both won!
Admech also hitting on 4's with very rare rerolls makes the game swingy. Units have a 50% chance of doing nothing with their low accuracy low volume of fire weapons. He way overhyped it. Its a damage 3 shotgun.
Loved this. If we don't get more collabs between you guys, though, we will riot

This was a superb episode!
I KNEW split firing that Castellan was a massive mistake! It has so few shots, better to put all of them to the main target for sure.
Just finished my Cerastus Lancer on Monday. Excited to play it tomorrow!

The bet was "Whoever loses" so since they both technically "lost" both have to uphold the agreement. That's my logic at least.
i will remember this day as the time a chicken-walker looked up at an Imperial Knight Paladin and said "Nah, I'd win". Goddamnit I love Skitarii
