I added blue and silver along with the traditional colors and my Christmas tree came out beautiful! I love the mixture of gold and silver together. The blue gave it that extra pop of color. I enjoyed playing a little bit around with the traditional style.
Absolutely love how inspiring and informative your videos are, could you do a video or even just add in a couple tips for Christmas decorating for people who are more minimal and don’t feel that a lot of decorations all over the house is their type of style? Lol sure it does. I grew up in Australia. So I do understand. How about creating some original ornaments with wood make some surf boards. And use flower leis (necklaces) for garland/tinsel. Or use Hawaiian flowers put in diy ornament balls. Find bunch of little umbrellas put in drinks.

I don't know what my style is... I like bits and pieces from many different ones... I don't think I like everything from One of them. for example... I love most of the "Traditional" stuff... but I don't like gold, and I'm not a fan of plaid. but I LOVE snowflakes, reindeer, animals.... red, white.... etc... I did enjoy this video. Thank you. =)

I also put other ornaments kids like into it since it's not a Christmas tree without the whole family putting in something of their favorite character in a ornament (husband Optimus prime (transformers), daughter twilight sparkle/ unicorns, son Spiderman/hulk, mine sailor moon characters). Find it fun put own spin on just one specific theme.

it's really funny to me that the festivities in the US are so short, in Colombia, it starts on Dec 1st, with a thing called "alborada", which is literally a "parade" and fireworks at like 2 or 3 am, and then it ends on Jan 6th, and there are a bunch of parties and holiday celebrations in between.... Christmas starts in 19 days here!

Christopher Radko used to sell his ornaments on QVC, so if you shop there often you might want to check. Also, Macy's used to always have a lot of Radko in their Christmas shop. I wanted to throw out a suggestion to people who might be shopping for a new nativity set. Someone told me this and it became a very meaningful tradition for our family. I made sure to get a nativity that had the Baby Jesus as a separate piece (not connected to the hay or manger or anything.) We would set up our nativity for the season, but Jesus didn't appear in the scene until we returned from church on Christmas Eve. I let the kids take turns each year being the one to put the baby in His creche. Hope you like the idea as much as I did.
