    Hello Friend
    I need to replace the keyboard of my portege z930, I still do not understand if it can be replaced without affecting the insulation or also have to replace the same ... would you have any video in which this procedure is shown?

      Sounds like a hard drive failure. Remove the drive and see if you can read it on another machine and backup any data?

    Hi, my SSD has died and I'm trying to find a compatible one to replace it with. Do you know what specs I need to look for? Is it a 2.5"? Mine seems to be just 4x3cm. I'm looking at a Plextor SATA M6G-2242 - will that work? Any help much appreciated, I live in a very remote part of Asia so only have Internet for support!

    • @dpcomputing
      @dpcomputing  8 лет назад

      +Sarah Whittaker Any SSD of the same physical size will work. Some are faster than others but I generally go for Intel or Samsung SSD's.

      +dpcomputing Thanks for your quick reply. Finding one of the same size is my problem. I've ascertained that this one (in the Z930, model THNSNS 128GMCP) is 50.95mm x 30.0mm. So I think the Plextor above will not work as it is 42 x 20mm. Apart from one Chinese copy of the original (brand 'For Toshiba' www.aliexpress.com/item/FOR-TOSHIBA-SSD-128GB-Mini-PCI-E-mSATA-SOLID-STATE-DRIVE-THNSNS128GMCP/32326905266.html#), the only similar new one I could find is a Toshiba THNSNF 256GMCS Mini PCl-e, size given as 50 x 30mm (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IKNEOM4/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=). My concern is whether the .95mm difference in length will make it incompatible. Otherwise, if you are able to recommend a specific make and model that is the same physical size, that would be very helpful. Thanks again!

      It will be best to take the drive out and take it to your local computer shop to confirm that it is the same.
