Uhm, so when I say "go to sleep" it stops listening but then when I say "wake up" it starts up again... but wait, doesn't it have to listen for it to hear me say "wake up"? 🤪

Your use it when you want to prevent yourself from opening things accidentally while talking, so it will only listen to "wake up" before it will operate at full service
this is going to be very useful when your hands are covered in something which is definitely helpful for me
Is it possible to execute keyboard shortcuts with Voice Control ?

or is it possible to execute Copy & Paste for other apps ?
Example: Procreate - Copy Layer ? Paste Layer

Is there a way for voice control commands to be heard through AirPods? When I use Siri commands with AirPods on it works great but Voice Control requires speaking more loudly, it seems that iPhone listens for commands from the iPhone mic and not the AirPods.

can anyone give me a tip? i turned on voice control and tried opening up camera and it was able to do that, but as soon as the app opens nothing responds anymore. I tried the simple steps in the video like saying "open grid" or "show me numbers" it wouldn't respond and would have to manually swipe to get back to the home screen. any thoughts or settings i should change?

I think you have to say show buttons, or show numbers first. Then you can say the number or button you want pressed button you want pressed,
The only thing I don't like about this, is that anyone can say any of these commands and it'll pick it up and work on your iPhone. It's not like Siri where it only takes commands from your voice.

It works well for things like ‘Open Safari’, ‘Open RUclips’. But it ignores ‘Close Safari’ and every ‘Close’ command I give it. Is that the normal behavior?

There is a command you can make before sleeping which has the microphone sleep.

School down to the section titled “Here are a few other things you can do with Voice Control” and follow this instruction, “To activate listening, you can say "Go to sleep" or "Wake up." The listening feature doesn't turn off, but puts the microphone to sleep until you wake your device with a command.”

“Useful if you have limited mobility” it’s not meant for everyone but for people who would have difficulty or in some cases would not even be able to use a phone otherwise
Yes, people with limited mobility. Apple was the leader in developing accessibility within the operating system, especially for blind people. I have used several of the Assistive Touch functions since I wore out the Home button on my second generation iPad in 2012.
I have used it when I sprained both of my hands.
It might be the only way for some to navigate thru their phone
