Radiology match was brutal this year. Complete blood bath. So much people unmatched or matched really low . It’s crazy . People must of found out about the work life balance
Every program will weigh your preclinical / clinical grades differently so it’s hard to answer this question! Of course doing the best that you can can only help you, but it’s overall unclear how much being in the lower half of your class really hurts you. Any failures are still a red flag so this would definitely hurt you - nothing someone can’t recover from but just something to keep in mind.
IMG here. Only got 5 interviews but was lucky enough to match this year! One thing I was curious about was whether or not a late LoR could significantly affect your application. Based on your experience reviewing applications, if an applicant is missing a LoR in the first 1-2 days (because they're waiting for ERAS to process it), would they get filtered out automatically?
There’s no way to know when programs download apps- so if they download the applications on the first day, there’s a good chance the LOR won’t be included. I would do everything in your power to have a complete app on day 1. Congrats on matching!!

Yes I can’t wait to see what the final numbers are by NRMP. Definitely a tough year.
If you think the thick book in the background on the Breast US is a lot, wait till you see the one on the MRI :)
Hahah oh I know it’s nothin’
How much importance does medical school marks have in cv??

I think you are switching between radiology match and overall match which is making this very confusing and deceiving
Sorry! I think overall match rates didn’t change, but radiology got more competitive.
