Once I'm able to tackle the red Grande Motte glacier to Val Claret village run, I'm sort of hope planning to do that first big bad boy run on Christmas Day morning in 2026, it'll be my birthday, and my 70th one at that, and the last day of my biblical three score years and ten. So it'd be a sort of birthday present from me to me. 😁 Hope I can carve as it gets seriously steep mid way down. That's if the railcar and gondola are working that day to get up there of course. 😄 Don't know what ski's I'll be riding on i.e. Volki, Atomic, Head, ... as I won't be getting my first ski's till Oct...ish 2024.

Most of it is quite wide so you can take most of the steepness out by zigzagging across wide. Practice as much as you can ...

France and Austria are about the same price, Tignes/Val d'Isere was €63 a day while Ischgl was €67. Three vallees was the most expensive at €72 per day.

I guess a slushy Face may be a bit easier than an icy one?

True but that wasn't slush, just fresh snow chopped up...

Hi man, firstly thanks so much for these videos, the production quality is insanely high and its incredibly refreshing to see someone make this kind of high-quality content! Im going to Val Thoren in around 2 weeks, leaving on the 14th April with a large group of friends, I know that VT is the highest resort in Europe hence i'm very optimistic about the snow but still a tad worried and curious what it'll be like. Have you been to VT recently, and is there still lots of snow left? Do you also have any recommendations for the resort? Thanks so much for the content once again.

Hi Charlie, thanks for the feedback. Yes, I was in VT recently and conditions are still good. In fact, had a fresh dump when I arrived. In Switzerland now and we've also just had a dump of snow in the higher parts. So far late season is looking good so let's hope it continues.

FWIW, I was planning to go to VT in April, but with three holidays already booked, the extra cost was to much. Never mind, there is always the 2024 and 2025 season to go there.
