Appreciate it! Nice to see some positivity in the mess of know it all keyboard mechanics who seem to think they have all the answers for things 😄 It's gotten loads better since then, I've just about replaced everything except suspension but too many other projects are making the bike sit unfortunately.
Yeah, in the video I went over how I did the troubleshooting and found that the ground connections needed cleaning. I was only getting like 7 volts across the negative battery terminal to the chassis, so that basically told me what I needed to do.
I have the exact same issues With my bike v Rod 2014… the exact same thing happened, it just clicked then completely dead, the only symbols i can see is oil och Neutral, then there’s the flickering, nothing when i have it on run, but in off it starts flickering… do you know exactly what the problem was? Was it the battery or was it the ground issues?
Bummer! It's super common on these. It was the ground issue for me, with the main ground strap that connects from the battery to the head. At some point in the video I mention testing voltage across it at various points and only getting 7 volts instead of 12 volts.
@@ChrilleOrtiz I actually replaced my battery when I was doing this since it was up there in age as well, but it's most likely a ground issue. Either way I would pull the ground terminals apart and clean them with a wire brush while doing the battery if you choose to do that.
This was the first video I ever created so it's pretty sub par haha. My later ones are much improved since I figured out how to get better audio and stopped messing with music as much.
I'm waiting for a turn signal module which also controls the key fob and starting of the bike in conjunction with the computer. Guess what, harley has them backordered and I'm on a very lengthy list. Been waiting for ove a year. Thanks Harley Davidson American made China crap. If you took everything foreign of a harley, you may have a hand full of bolts left.
It's brutal trying to get parts for these. I was down for a few weeks last summer over a bad TPS, and the dealer 2as all but useless at helping me locate one. I ended up calling about 5 of them and found one on the east coast and still had to beg them to ship it to me. Crazy stuff.
@@GearheadPhil Yes the TPS. I called all the harley dealerships I could find and finally called Harley corporate. That was ove a year ago, Still nothing. I found a company that reprogram engine computers that is trying to remove the tps and then I could just wire in turn signal relays. They say possible using a Yamaha computer fora vTwin as well.
I like your videos dude. Stay positive. Seems like alot of Gremlins coming at you

@@GearheadPhil you dont think it has anything to do with the battery ? Do you think i should replace it aswell? The battery is like 5 years old..

@@ChrilleOrtiz My bike literally has the same exact Problem its a 2014 Muscle. Did you Figure yours out?
@@daveywhite6279 yes , it was the ground cables that was loose! Check all of them
That is where the starter relay is located on left side cover?

@@americaamerica8579 That would be interesting! Is there anything on 1130cc.com about bypassing that?
@@GearheadPhil I didn't even know that existed. I'll check it out, thank you.
You're in for a treat, that forum has just about everything you could ever need. It was a great resource when I first got mine.
