I had not changed it in nearly 2 years. A 6.00 purchase. And bike started right back up!! Thank you!!! Changed out battery as well in my spare keyfob as well.
Hey so i just bought 2009 super glide last week and the only issue was sometimes after riding and shutting off like at gas station or so when you try to start the bike it will krank but won’t turn over then I turn the key take it out put it back in the bike starts right away so I thought the Batterie since it was 3 years old I bought a new yesterday put it in (not upside down)😂 but it still does it what could tha be the screaming eagle plugs are good all connections seem clean I’m a little lost now what could that be ?
Have a 2013 breakout and when I push the start button the only thing that happens is the fuel pump primes and primes the whole time the button is pressed
My problem on my '17 King w/12k miles is it's stubborn when doing a hot restart. When the motor is cold it starts okay. Go for a ride, stop in a hotdog stand, finish you pop and dog get back on the back in about 10 - 15 and the motor turns over but has a hard time and it barely starts chugging "I think I can, I think I can" bump the throttle and fires up but not without the smell of unburnt fuel. This especially happens in hot weather. Thinking I should take it to the dealer since my extended service plan is still in effect till November.

I took my bike out of winter storage and when I went to start it evetything lit up but it would not turn over your tip on changing the battery in the key fob did the trick and the bike fired right up. thanks a lot saved me a trailer ride to my mechanic. cheers Randy Ralph
2020 FXLRS, had the bike on a tender for 2 weeks with cold weather in Ohio, solid green on tender. Went out for a ride, Fired right up, rode 2 miles down the road and it stalled out at a red light, full tank, no security lights flashing…haven’t checked codes yet.
I have a 2013 heritage softail. One day I drove it around no issues. The next day the bike was dead and I mean no power. I put a new battery in it to see if that may have been the issue it wasn't. Ok so I took it to a local shop that works on HD. Well they changed the ignition switch and kept the bike on charge. Still nothing, I was informed to take it to a HD shop bc it could be a electrical issue possibly draining the battery. Idk where to start any help would be appreciated thanks In advance.

2005 RK FI. engine shuts off random times. I turn the ignition switch on the tank back & forth and it will start. Is it the ignition switch on the tank or a computer problem. (has a new crank sensor)

I once spent $180 for a new battery thinking that was the problem and still couldn’t get it to start then $150 for a short distance tow and $130 for 1 hr of labor and parts for my 1996 Bronco at the mechanics and in the end all it was, was a faulty old battery cable and terminals that needed to be replaced . A very expensive lesson into how dumb you can get when you don’t use the noggin .
That's super common. Especially on older fords. People have a huge snow ball of corrosion on the terminal and trashes cables. Even if terminals are clean it can corrode all the way down the cable to solenoid or from solenoid to starter.
I got sportster 48 and i dont hear fuel pump noise when the switch is on, bike not work, tank is full of fuel and I've recharged the battery, but its not work at all

I have a question my 1999 FLAHTCI, Electra glide will not start after its been warmed up. I’ve change the fuel injection to zipper motors. I’ve change the starter. I’ve changed the relays underneath the seat. It runs fine, but when it’s warmed up and you turn it off it won’t start back up. Any ideas?✌️😎

I have a 09 FLHTCU that I just replace the fuel filter, check valve and battery. I refilled the fuel tank and plugged everything in. Turned on the ignition and heard the fuel pump kick in and attempted to start the mc and it won't start. It kicks over strong and I can hear the fuel pump. Please advise
I got a sportster 883 and sometimes my bike likes to start right up, other times the bike will try to turn over and then it just clicks crazy. I’ll take the battery out and charge it and put it back and it’ll be alright. Come the next day it’s doing the same thing. It’s a brand new battery from autozone. Everything is tight. I can’t seem to find any fuses though. All I see is 3 fuses on the end of a cable and that’s it, they are all fine. I can’t seem to find the problem

If your bike is very low on fuel , will it click when you try to start it ? 2017 Harley Davidson slim screaming Eagle. Took my battery in and it’s good . I need battery for fob . It started and I tan it for awhile . But it died again . I shook it to see how much fuel it has , not much . So I’m thinking the little bit of gas it has in it , it clicks when I try to start it up again .

Great info - I have an 07 Dyna that is now running a bit rough...starting to now huccup...getting worse...some are saying fuel pressure regulator or fuel line(s). Changed plug and gas - no change...any ideas?
Thanks for the great video. I have one more "no start" if I may. Are you parked close to a police station, military base, government installation, refinery etc? that is transmitted a jamming signal to prevent remote activation of IEDs. Happened to a group of us on tour in Spain.
If I told u i took my rocker boxes apart to change gaskets but didn't disconnect the battery, bike would turn over but not crank. Ecm fuse blew,changed it but still wont, would it be safe to think maybe ecm is bad?
There is really no correlation between rocker boxes & blown fuse and a bad ECM. If the motorcycle ran prior to disassembly, but you are burning a fuse now; you need to isolate and repair a dead short on that fuses circuit. Might want to start by inspecting & testing the right side switch harness & plugged connections. You should lift the fuel tank back off and look for any possible pinched wiring. www.fixmyhog.com/videos/electrical/

I have a 05 touring that just had an engine swap with a 99 95ci tc and it refuses to start . Gets spark , fuel etc pops and such but won't actually start . Any tips would help a ton
Sounds like cam timing might be wrong. My girl friends fuel injected Electra glide (06) can be running great...make a stop someplace and go to leave and it will crank over but won't start. Disconnect the fuel line from the quick coupler on the left side of the tank, reconnect, and the bike will start and go weeks or longer and not do it again. When it does do it again, disconnect the line again, sometimes it sounds like its relieving pressure, reconnect and it will start. Any ideas?? Its driving us crazy.

working on a friends 03 fatboy thought the fuel pump was out so replaced the pump, regulator, and filter. still wont start so i checked the fuse and it is good. got out the test light and found out i do not have power at the fuel pump fuse but have power everywhere else, will start using carb cleaner. any ideas?

Electric fuel pumps have to be primed? I have a 2015 Harley Street 750 I added 1 inch riser. It pulled connection apart under tank. I lifted tank found it reconnect bike started right up. I noticed fuel over flow tube really close to the head so I disconnected it at a 1way valve. I heard pressure be released from it. I never did cut the hose. Kill switch is off, in neutral, kick stand up. Seems not to be pressuring up. I let crank... checked fuses again. This fuel pump was recalled and change back in 2015. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ty

My 2015 roadglide won’t start,when I turn knob to on position nothing happens no fuel pump priming, no infotainment, and I soon I turn knob to on position takes me right to enter pin even when fob present, any idea? Thanks
Fob battery or installed upside down. Positive+ should be bottom in the fob, negative - should be on top and place the cap back on the fob and snap in place.
I have an 04 sportster 1200, it died while I was riding. No over heating. Battery is good. Replaced all the fuses. When I go start it it doesn’t crank or turn over. Do you think the fuel pump could be the issue? I was told the stator could be bad.
2018 rks owner here, i was riding down the road tonight, all of a sudden i come up on a bag of seed someone had lost and i managed to clip it with the driver side exaust pipe, didnt reallize i was still dragging it, made it maybe 1000 more feet and the bike started losing power, i get off and look and nothing is loose or hanging that shouldnt be, i go to start it and it starts backfiring through the intake, is the the exaust valve getting stuck ive never heard of this before, please anybody anything will help @fixmyhogfreechannel
On the way back from Sturgis to Austin, we went through CO. I had an issue with warm start. The CO Springs dealer said to try disconnecting and reconnecting the fuel line, and it worked. Happened again at a shop in CO, and I did not get the line on correctly. It popped off and gas went everywhere. I think i messed up the stop value? Eventually got it back in and started. Happened again at a gas station in TX, and the disconnect was not working so good. Lots of gas making a mess now that the value in the disconnect not quite right. Finally started. On the last day I never stopped the bike for refueling to get home. Once I pulled in the driveway, I stopped it, and it started right up. Any idea what might cause this type of issue?
Sounds like a tank venting issue, hence why pulling the fuel line fixes it. What could be happening is that the vent is blocked, pinched or just way too small, and so when the fuel pump is pulling gas out of the tank and sending it too the injectors, air isn't getting into the gas tank to fill that space. So what's happening is a vacuum, and that is not allowing gas to be pulled out of the tank by the fuel pump, but by pulling the fuel line, you're opening a passageway for the air pressure to equalize.
Goodday Mike.I have a '98 HD electra glide.I 've been having issues with getting the bike to start.The spark plug coil was bad so i replaced the coil.Did some upgrades with replacing the stator & regulator while replacing the ignition coil.The bike wont turn over when powered up.I installed a manual button on the new starter & still the bike wont start.I opened the primary,put the bike into high gear.The engine wont even turn over when rotating the rear wheel in high gear.The bike has been sitting for a year.Have You ever come accross this issue with the evo's?

My 2011 dyna fatbob turns over, fires but wont start. I rode to work with no issues, the next day it wouldn't start. The bike only has 2300 miles on it. The fuel pump kicks on, the battery connections are tight, I put a new battery in the fob, and replaced the spark plugs, still nothing, I need help

I got one for ya=2014 Dyna Low RIder - turn ignition switch on- run switch on = bike in 1st or N and pull in clutch, press start and silence, bike won't start------repeat start up process, sometimes several times until bike fires up perfect. Was told by HD possibly the starter relay--------but I don't think 2014 has a starter relay. NO security and no FOB with this bike model. Sooooooo any ideas? Thanks.

Took the battery to the dealership. Tested and it passed with a good bill of health stating it a good battery(then they got it up to a full charge). Changed the FOB battery. Changed out both relays for brand new ones. Bike still won’t start. Bike will turn on, lights will come on, fuel pump will cycle. Hit start button... absolutely nothing.

Amazed at how many HOG owners don't know how to start their bike without a Key Fob... and how dumb a group with Key Fobs don't understand they can start their bike then take out battery give it to buddy let him start his bike with his Fob ..
🛑🛑 Worst one I ever had was the little “quick connect” right where the fuel line connects to the lower discharge tube of gas tank. There is a small “quick connect”, just use your Index Finger and just “ push up” on the fitting; and the gas begins flowing again, just “jiggled out of the connector”😀👍. Drove me crazy one afternoon 💯. I hope this help👍

Cheap??? know not where you are...but around here it's $30 for the front plug wire...$26 for rear...I do not call that CHEAP!! That's like our car that uses $14 per quart fluid in transmission...it holds 6 quarts...and has to be changed every 35,000 miles so 3 times a yr. so not cheap in my book.

What was the problem and the fix? Was it a problem inside the fuel tank? Fuel pump, fuse, relay, pressure sensor??????
Hit bump and now no ignition. No lights but turn to access ery dash lights up.

If your bike is very low on fuel , will it click when you try to start it ? 2017 Harley Davidson slim screaming Eagle. Took my battery in and it’s good . I need battery for fob . It started and I tan it for awhile . But it died again . I shook it to see how much fuel it has , not much . So I’m thinking the little bit of gas it has in it , it clicks when I try to start it up again .

Great info - I have an 07 Dyna that is now running a bit rough...starting to now huccup...getting worse...some are saying fuel pressure regulator or fuel line(s). Changed plug and gas - no change...any ideas?

Thanks for the great video. I have one more "no start" if I may. Are you parked close to a police station, military base, government installation, refinery etc? that is transmitted a jamming signal to prevent remote activation of IEDs. Happened to a group of us on tour in Spain.
If I told u i took my rocker boxes apart to change gaskets but didn't disconnect the battery, bike would turn over but not crank. Ecm fuse blew,changed it but still wont, would it be safe to think maybe ecm is bad?
There is really no correlation between rocker boxes & blown fuse and a bad ECM.
If the motorcycle ran prior to disassembly, but you are burning a fuse now; you need to isolate and repair a dead short on that fuses circuit.
Might want to start by inspecting & testing the right side switch harness & plugged connections.
You should lift the fuel tank back off and look for any possible pinched wiring.

How often do the coil pikas go out ? I suspect that’s my problem. Mine won’t fire. It’s showing a weak ohms reading.

I have a 05 touring that just had an engine swap with a 99 95ci tc and it refuses to start . Gets spark , fuel etc pops and such but won't actually start . Any tips would help a ton
Sounds like cam timing might be wrong. You may need to retrace your steps & verify that your timing marks can be correctly aligned.

My girl friends fuel injected Electra glide (06) can be running great...make a stop someplace and go to leave and it will crank over but won't start. Disconnect the fuel line from the quick coupler on the left side of the tank, reconnect, and the bike will start and go weeks or longer and not do it again. When it does do it again, disconnect the line again, sometimes it sounds like its relieving pressure, reconnect and it will start. Any ideas?? Its driving us crazy.

working on a friends 03 fatboy thought the fuel pump was out so replaced the pump, regulator, and filter. still wont start so i checked the fuse and it is good. got out the test light and found out i do not have power at the fuel pump fuse but have power everywhere else, will start using carb cleaner. any ideas?

Electric fuel pumps have to be primed?
I have a 2015 Harley Street 750 I added 1 inch riser. It pulled connection apart under tank. I lifted tank found it reconnect bike started right up. I noticed fuel over flow tube really close to the head so I disconnected it at a 1way valve. I heard pressure be released from it. I never did cut the hose. Kill switch is off, in neutral, kick stand up. Seems not to be pressuring up. I let crank... checked fuses again. This fuel pump was recalled and change back in 2015. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My 2015 roadglide won’t start,when I turn knob to on position nothing happens no fuel pump priming, no infotainment, and I soon I turn knob to on position takes me right to enter pin even when fob present, any idea? Thanks

Fob battery or installed upside down. Positive+ should be bottom in the fob, negative - should be on top and place the cap back on the fob and snap in place.

I have an 04 sportster 1200, it died while I was riding. No over heating. Battery is good. Replaced all the fuses. When I go start it it doesn’t crank or turn over. Do you think the fuel pump could be the issue? I was told the stator could be bad.

2018 rks owner here, i was riding down the road tonight, all of a sudden i come up on a bag of seed someone had lost and i managed to clip it with the driver side exaust pipe, didnt reallize i was still dragging it, made it maybe 1000 more feet and the bike started losing power, i get off and look and nothing is loose or hanging that shouldnt be, i go to start it and it starts backfiring through the intake, is the the exaust valve getting stuck ive never heard of this before, please anybody anything will help @fixmyhogfreechannel
On the way back from Sturgis to Austin, we went through CO. I had an issue with warm start. The CO Springs dealer said to try disconnecting and reconnecting the fuel line, and it worked. Happened again at a shop in CO, and I did not get the line on correctly. It popped off and gas went everywhere. I think i messed up the stop value? Eventually got it back in and started. Happened again at a gas station in TX, and the disconnect was not working so good. Lots of gas making a mess now that the value in the disconnect not quite right. Finally started. On the last day I never stopped the bike for refueling to get home. Once I pulled in the driveway, I stopped it, and it started right up. Any idea what might cause this type of issue?

Sounds like a tank venting issue, hence why pulling the fuel line fixes it.
What could be happening is that the vent is blocked, pinched or just way too small, and so when the fuel pump is pulling gas out of the tank and sending it too the injectors, air isn't getting into the gas tank to fill that space. So what's happening is a vacuum, and that is not allowing gas to be pulled out of the tank by the fuel pump, but by pulling the fuel line, you're opening a passageway for the air pressure to equalize.
I have no power going to the P & A fuze on my bike. The fuze it's self is good. But no power going to it. Anyone have a idea?

Goodday Mike.I have a '98 HD electra glide.I 've been having issues with getting the bike to start.The spark plug coil was bad so i replaced the coil.Did some upgrades with replacing the stator & regulator while replacing the ignition coil.The bike wont turn over when powered up.I installed a manual button on the new starter & still the bike wont start.I opened the primary,put the bike into high gear.The engine wont even turn over when rotating the rear wheel in high gear.The bike has been sitting for a year.Have You ever come accross this issue with the evo's?

My 2011 dyna fatbob turns over, fires but wont start. I rode to work with no issues, the next day it wouldn't start. The bike only has 2300 miles on it. The fuel pump kicks on, the battery connections are tight, I put a new battery in the fob, and replaced the spark plugs, still nothing, I need help

I got one for ya=2014 Dyna Low RIder - turn ignition switch on- run switch on = bike in 1st or N and pull in clutch, press start and silence, bike won't start------repeat start up process, sometimes several times until bike fires up perfect. Was told by HD possibly the starter relay--------but I don't think 2014 has a starter relay. NO security and no FOB with this bike model. Sooooooo any ideas? Thanks.

I just had the most frustrating experience trying to get my Harley to start. Engine kept turning over after I just installed a brand new battery. Took it to autozone and they said the battery is dead even though I just bought it 😭

Not changing the fuel filter ever is common it won't start issue
Problem solved, I'm buying a 1995 Fatboy.😊. P.S. I subscribed and I'm looking forward to learning from you.
Took the battery to the dealership. Tested and it passed with a good bill of health stating it a good battery(then they got it up to a full charge). Changed the FOB battery. Changed out both relays for brand new ones. Bike still won’t start. Bike will turn on, lights will come on, fuel pump will cycle. Hit start button... absolutely nothing.

I've got no power to the right hand control on my 2016 FLSS. Got power everywhere else, just not there. Fuel pump turns on, but the control buttons do absolutely nothing. I have a new control ordered, hopefully that's what it is! Been waiting for weeks. Any tips?

No such thing as a pin number. I checked with the United. U.S.M.C, the F.B.I investigation, and the C.I.A. agency.
Amazed at how many HOG owners don't know how to start their bike without a Key Fob... and how dumb a group with Key Fobs don't understand they can start their bike then take out battery give it to buddy let him start his bike with his Fob ..
🛑🛑 Worst one I ever had was the little “quick connect” right where the fuel line connects to the lower discharge tube of gas tank.
There is a small “quick connect”, just use your Index Finger and just “ push up” on the fitting; and the gas begins flowing again, just “jiggled out of the connector”😀👍.
Drove me crazy one afternoon 💯.

Cheap??? know not where you are...but around here it's $30 for the front plug wire...$26 for rear...I do not call that CHEAP!! That's like our car that uses $14 per quart fluid in transmission...it holds 6 quarts...and has to be changed every 35,000 miles so 3 times a yr. so not cheap in my book.
The Harley won't start because it's a crap motorcycle, the lowest quality bike on the road today
