- Residents of a rundown French apartment building battle against an army of deadly, rapidly reproducing spiders. Infested, or Vermines, excels at delivering chill-inducing horror through the use of real spiders for the production. Should this squirmfest filled with Satan's bedbugs be on your watchlist? Thanks for checking out my Infested (2023) Shudder Movie Review!

Australians watching must be like "buddy thats just tuesday for us"😂
"... pissed off the partner ... and then slept on couch " 😂- well , havent we all been there and done that 🤣
🤣😂
It’s insane to know that it was Vaniček first movie and he did so good Sam Raimi got him to direct one the two upcoming Evil Dead projects 👀🔥
I collect tarantulas and this damn movie still made me jump and yell profanity at my TV at least 10 times. A great movie!!!
We had Black Widows
I'm French and I saw Vermines (or Infested as it's apparently known in English) in theater several months ago. I think it's my new favourite horror movies about spiders, alongside with Arachnophobia. This film was brilliantly made. It might even be in my top 10 French horror movies from the last decade.
P.S. By the way, the "s" in Vermines is silent :)
Thanks for the hint on the pronunciation!! I'm hoping to travel to France soon, so it's good to know the nuances... even though I'll probably not have need for this specific word, I'll definitely be paying attention to what's emphasized or silent. Thanks!!
@@MoviesAndMunchies You're welcome. :) A LOT of sounds are silent in French ahah. Including plural "s".
Bon voyage
I have made leaps and bounds with my arachnophobia... I feel no need to regress lol
Hahahaha, I totally get that!!
I haven't seen a spider movie (on purpose) since "arachnophobia" came out in the 90's. We rented the movie the night it came out and watched it at night (the whole fam) and half way through someone needed to go to the bathroom so we paused it, turned on the light and behold there was a huge spider on the living room wall and I freaked out and haven't recovered since! I don't know if this movie would be for me, but it just may be time for another "good" spider movie! Thanks for the review Chris!!! Hope you burned that house down after missing that spidey.
No Eight-legged-freaks for you?!
I will say this is probably the best spider movie (in my opinion) since arachnophobia. I would even go far enough to say it’s a spiritual successor in terms of how it just makes your skin crawl
Loved the movie! The editing, acting and spiders were fantastic. Watched it in French 🇫🇷
the acting was on point even thought it was mainly cgi spiders the actors pulled it off with seeing nothing in front of them
the characters where dumb though. Could have not think of using fire or other weapons. And the Molotov was wasted.
Brilliant movie! And a brilliant review!
I'm so scared of spiders, that I can't even fight them in videogames.... somehow though, your review makes me want to see this movie!
It's a ride, that's for sure!!
It's good !
I hope spiderman gets his revenge
The whole movie budget was one light bulb.
I love spiders. I would leave them in the house, if it were not healthier for them to be outside. I take them outside in my bare hands.
LMAO@SATAN'S BED BUGS
Dude.... this movie fu**ing ruled.
The acting was brilliant and production.
I love spiders. Most if not all, are harmless. Please don't hurt spiders in real life. : P
Capture and relocate. Killing them does nothing beneficial. Also, they could be preggers (releasing hundreds). Safely and successfully captured a BROWN RECLUSE in my brand new home and relocated it (and immediately called pest control haha).
This movie was UN-FREAKING-REAL. I looked forward to it for weeks after learning about it and I was not disappointed. The character development was great. The tension and horror was top notch.
That hallway scene everyone shows…OMG talk about terror. Wont spoil anything but you will NEVER see another horror scene more disturbing…EVER!!!
The end was, well, ehhhhh. I wish they had gone more of the Arachnophobia route instead of 8 legged freaks 😂😂. Either way it was very very very very good and I can’t wait to watch it again.
Also, the subtitles were not an issue for me at all. I found I was able to speed read it and was never distracted by it. By the end I swore they were speaking English (they weren’t).
9/10 for me
I have a huge fear against Huntsman Spiders Everytime i see those things i freak out
I don't usually catch many French films, let alone French horror.
A few weeks back I was watching a French zombie film which really impressed me, especially considering it almost entirely took place in a small block of flats.
I thought the silent zombies were a real interesting touch.
It got me interested in seeing more French horror and this was popping up around the place. Glad to see it's getting pretty reasonable reviews.
Did you watch The Night Eats the World? That is such a surprisingly excellent zombie film! Hope you enjoy this one if you give it a go!
@@MoviesAndMunchies yeah, that's the one. I thought that was really engaging and tense, had me the whole way through. As mentioned above, having zombies that didn't make the typical noises was a bold choice but I liked it.
On your recommendation for this I caught the first half last night, will finish it later. So far it's tenterhooks tension - being arachnophobic doesn't help matters none whatsoever. 😂
@@combatwombat2134 as a fellow arachnophobe, this is a distressing movie!
Not cool Chris. Not cool. If I see one more spider...
I watched it. Surprisingly good movie, great acting, hauntingly realistic spiders 👌
Love your reviews! Stoked on this one.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it!
I love how you had spiders coming down in the video it actually scared me for a second 😰😂 this sounds like a good movie I'll definitely check it out sometime 😁👍
Thanks Chris im watching it now
At what time will it be available for streaming? Can anyone confirm? Thank you
it will be on the web. (Pun intnded.)
I watched it on AMC+
Loved the review. You’re a natural!
Cool
Watch the indie French film The Animal Kingdom.
Adding it to my list, thanks!!
@@MoviesAndMunchies I think you will like it 👍
Good movie
I loved the movie 😮
Js watch this last night so good!
been waiting for this!
this sounds great
Is there anyway to change the language. I hate reading subtitles
Watched it last nite, really liked most of it.
Compared to this Arachnophobia is just a saturday family comedy.
What I did not like however, is that unsubtle social complaint about the people trapped in the building: it was some guys in the desert who took the spiders, introduced them illegally in France, sold them to that arab guy, who in turn sold it to the totally irresponsable main character who, when confronted with the cops, didnt had the balls to at the very least say "hey it was me who brought that shit here".
No, the movie tried to depict it as social victimization.
Still, I liked it very very much.
Its hard to watch a horror movie with a puppy shown in scenes cause i just know OMG NO THEY GONNA KILL PUPPY D;
Does this one have ENGLISH Dub over
Yes I watched it on Shudder it’s original French language with English subtitles
No. Just no. 😱
It was a good movie I just got done with it literally 2 minutes ago kept me on the edge of my seat but it was more me yelling how dumb the actors were Mike no you don't put a spider you don't know and it's poisonous in a shoe box with toilet paper That's stupid I was like no no no no no no no I kept going no lol I was like yep you're going to die yep you're going to die My skin was crawling it was vibrating the whole movie disgusting not scary just disgusting I would have rather been in English
I did not care for this the main character was a dunce and sting was better idk this movie lacked substance some cook kills and environments but eh it was okay.
He talks way to fucking much instead of showing the clip while explain what's going on . I didn't even continue to watch .
Lol
