Jim, Jack, Kelly, Forrest, sorry if this brings the tone down: but your podcast has got me through my depression. All the podcasts, not just Water Quality with Erin Brockovich or Cheese with Liz Thorpe, but all of them. Thank you for uploading podcasts regularly! The podcast on Depression was something I could particularly relate to. Some days I feel great with parties awaiting me at night, but depression hits first and I just can't go. I think you and the awesome crew have given me the strength to go, Jim. I hope that's the case. I haven't met any of you, but I respect all of you - Jim with your depression, Kelly with yours, Forrest with grieving over the loss of your mother, and Jack, if you're going through finding yourself and it's difficult. I'm personally feeling a decent 6 out of 10, and after listening to you podcasts daily, and realise we are all the same, and I feel a better 8 or 9 out of 10. I wish you all the best and look forward to your next podcast :) The Grateful Dead was another great one :)
@+LIAMNEVILLEVIOLIST1809, I'm surprised your comment didn't get more likes. Depression is a helluva monster and some people are lucky enough to find a way to escape theirs without meds. Be it music, podcasts, TV shows, etc. I'm happy you found something that tones down your depression and helps you lead a more productive life. I only recently discovered Jim Jeffries and I haven't laughed so much and so deeply in years. I was pretty down because I had to have a surgery I didn't think I needed. On top of that, I had no one to advocate for me, and no family except for my husband, who, of course, was all for the surgery. I realized that my opinion didn't matter and I resigned myself to having this surgery. I was just a shell. I was empty inside and just going through the motions. I couldn't even try drugs to give myself a temporary respite from the terrible feelings I had because the town I live in is so dammed safe, that you can't find any here! (I live in a small town in Italy) Italy has never had an opioid problem, but I tried, and it's even more difficult to get a doctor to write a script, even for legitimate reasons. I eventually got the pills, but decided to save them for after the surgery because I knew I would need them and getting more would be impossible. And then I found JJ. He made me laugh so much that I forgot about my issues. Thanks for being brave and sharing your story. You're not the only one, and it helps others to know they are not alone.
