I get compliments from Encre Noire original. It's classy, unique, and black tie worthy. The clean, vibrant smokiness of the vetiver and the aromatic greenness of the cyprus make this fragrance the star that it is!
I just received it because even people that didn't like it seem to appreciate it. I really like it. It might sound strange but it reminds me of an old library in the middle of the woods. I know that's a strange description but that's what popped into my head
Commodity Vetiver is strong please know that. I like the black currant in there but folks have polarized reactions to the Vetiver some say has a anamalic feel. I've come to like it and I got surprise response from a beautiful woman when I wore it complete surprise.
Encre Noire is 10/10 for me easily. The price, the uniqueness, the straight up representation of vetiver... there's nothing like it out there. It's also my first vetiver fragrance as well. It smells like you're in a funeral in a rainy afternoon. I fucking love it
I love all three. These are fragrances that you were for yourself and nobody else. The original is probably my favorite and is the fragrance I wear when I want to be left alone.
If you are deeply in the frangrance world, you would prefer the standard Encre Noire or the Extreme version for sure. For the others, who are not interested so much in fragrances, the Sport is way more likeable and get's the most compliments of all 3, especially ladies like it.

I can’t remember why I it’s not in my collection now, but it must have made an impression because years later I still remember it and was thinking about buying another bottle. I didn’t know which version to buy. I watched several videos reviewing the three showcased here and you helped me make my decision. I’m going with the original. Why change a winning formula. I own all 3 versions. The OG is my favorite. I use it often in spring, autumn an winter when going into the forest. The Sport is my least favorite. It's light and watery, ideal for the summer. The A L'Extreme is my nr. 2. It's intensive in the way of softness and richness, but has not the longevity of the OG. It's starts powerful but gets quickly weaker (projection). 🙂
Believe it or not, I wear my fragrances primarily at home to feel good. Terre D’Hermès edt is my magical potion. I just ordered Encre Noire A L’Extrême. I think I’m gonna like it.
Gonna be completely honest here, almost EVERY TIME I wear Encre Noire og, I recieve compliments. Im not sure if it' just agrees with my chemestry or something, but it shines off my skin, and I do over spray, It lasts all day on clothes.😊
My favorite is l'extreme. I could reach it in more ocasions than the OG so i could point it was a 8 of 10. About the sport version, at least in my opinion, I don't get the point in a sport fragance with heavy vetiver. So it's my least favorite as well.
Yeah I reach for l’extreme most out of the encre noire collection. And totally agree on the sport version.. weird combo and they didnt manage to pull it off..

The original is the best. The encre noire line should have stuck with creating more flankers that push the envelop like the original draw inspiration from a company like Beaufort London but have their own DNA twist. They have other fragrances in other lines that can play the safe mass market game.
True. They should have gone deeper into the original for any flankers. Like I mentioned in the video, the original is unique with a l’extreme being a good flanker. Sport was just a weird addition to this fragrance collection 🤷🏽♂️
To my nose (and I´m sensitive to overly vetiver heavy scents that are in a specific way) Grey Vetiver is much better.. Tom Fords Take on Vetiver is so much smoother, classier and definitely more wearable than let's say encre noir. But that's just how I feel about it.. If you love vetiver you might enjoy these 😊
@@rottenrebels I smelled TF Grey Vetiver the other day and it blew my mind, as I always thought as Vetiver being extremely old cologne smelling. The smell was so refined and fresh smelling. I was exploring to see if any other vetivers are similar before purchasing TF...?

A lot of guys enjoy them but I don't and most women I met really don't think vetiver is an attractive kind of scent. I have not come across many other fragrances like Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. It's so smooth!!

You most likely live in a very warm country, Saroj bhai, so I would rate these three this way: 1) encre noire, 2) lion, 3) a l'exreme. Lion may be disappointing though,it grew on me during several months. Now I like it a lot.

Definitely is art in a bottle ENE. I try not to over think it. If I fancy wearing a fragrance regardless of occasion I just pull the trigger. I remember at work in a busy area colleagues saying who is wearing that terrible aftershave. I just smiled, owned up and still wore it the next day. There probably is no perfect occasion for ENE unless surrounded by frag heads. Selfishly I wear fragrances for my own pleasure. People will enjoy some scents and not others. Given up trying to please the masses many years ago. No way I am wearing blue fragrances every day.

I totally get the spots fragrance with the vetiver the best smell ever. Love the OG but extreme I don’t like at all.
To me the extreme version really reminds of Chanel Sycomore. Enough that, if money was an issue, I'd be satisfied with this .

To my nose (and I´m sensitive to overly vetiver heavy scents that are in a specific way) Grey Vetiver is much better.. Tom Fords Take on Vetiver is so much smoother, classier and definitely more wearable than let's say encre noir. But that's just how I feel about it.. If you love vetiver you might enjoy these 😊
