I was waiting for your review before buying the original Encre Noire but I couldn't resist and bought it together with the Encre Noire Sport hahaha. At first I always had that feeling that Encre Noire was going to be a dark herbal fragrance but not so mature but I was wrong and I was not completely convinced by the issue that it is a very mature scent for my age (23) and maybe I will give it to my father or keep it for about 10 more years haha. However when I tried Encre Noire Sport it was love at first smell, much more wearable and I use it casually to go to work or when I go out to the woods to walk for a while and it feels very refreshing when I feel that grapefruit that appears suddenly through my nose (I could not tell if these fragrances have Iso E Super to achieve this type of experience). I like A L'Extreme because it feels reasonably balanced, i.e. not just vetiver, and I quite like it for very cold weather. I find Encre Noir Sport quite challenging, because to me it smells like a wet, inky rainforest, which is very unique, no doubt, however not very practical as a scent profile I would wear. I have not tried Encre Noir original, on the basis of feeling quite content with A L'Extreme and knowing that there are diminishing returns as I didn't like the sport version. I think the main value of this line is to provide a good reference scent for beginners into the world of vetiver, as they can be sprayed with abandon given how cheap they are, so really one bottle is enough for this purpose. I don't think these are necessarily full bottle worthy as are likely not going to be worn very often, and that is money better spent on a more wearable cheapie. However it certainly does have its place in a larger collection for occasional use and reference purposes, as well as more broadly understanding a staple of the online fragrance community.
A l'extreme has a note very very close to Gucci Rush for men wich is discontinued and was not put out since many years ago. The main reason I have it in my collection. 👍 👍 👍

What are some of your favorites then?
@@UrbanDwellerNYC I got a few were to start, Tom Ford Ombre Leather. Bleu De Channel eau de parfum. PDM Percival and Galloway and Layton, Murdock Black tea, Channel Egoiste Pl. Aqua Di Gio Absolu, MFK Amrys, YSL Freische and eau de parfum, Code profumo, aqua di gio profondo, sauvage eau de parfum (this gets hated but is great, don't wear often down here in south fl. because is everywhere) Tom Ford Noir. Spicebomb Extreme, Dior Cologne. These are some of the ones i really enjoy. I don't particularly like PDM Herod, Aqua Di Gio Profumo, dolce & gabbana light blue intense. Boss bottle intense and some others. Is def. subjective on on the person's taste. I like your reviews though.
@@MaximusDingus007 man all good choices! I like ombré leather, I also prefer Sauvage EDP over EDT, I love platinum egoiste, MFK Amyris, PDM Galloway one of my favorites
@@UrbanDwellerNYC I got too many for a regular dude to be honest lol. Ombre Leather i recently add it and it smells amazing. Channel Pour Monsiour i like too (This smells like an old gentleman) but i like this for after showers, kind of reminds me of an old school aftershave. I'm not savvy with notes breakdowns and what not i just go by Fresh, sweet, and if is smells good. Galloway is underrated tbh. South FL. heat it really shines.
@@UrbanDwellerNYC oh forgot Mancera Cedrat Boise!
Encore Noir Sport. The worst fragrance I have ever purchased!
