I said I was gonna do it... blind bought this yesterday. Now I’m kicking myself for not having bought the original as well. Damn! This is so unique. Fragrances are such an interesting art form... honestly, I can care less if others won’t enjoy it... interesting enough the same type of feeling comes to mind whenever I wear Fahrenheit. I still cannot afford the more expensive stuff but would love to hear a few recommendations on your side. Here’s the list of frags I own and absolutely love: Un Jardin Sur Le Nil, Terre d’Hermes, Silver Mountain Water, Fahrenheit, Dior Homme, Body Kouros, Serge Lutens Feminite d’Bois, Chergui, Tsar, Xeryus Le Mistique, Bvlgari Black, Ambre Narguile, John Varvatos , GTI!
I just bought the sport and I absolutely love it, it’s making me want to but the original. I love vetiver and this one is fresh on the opening but on the dry down a deep rich grassy smell that is divine to me. Thank visually use Miller Harris Vetiver insolent but I actually love this more and it’s 5 times cheaper than what I have been using. Also a juice none talks about is Adolfo Dominquez fresh water Vetiver. There is no English reviews on the scent and it is again like a fresh Vetiver scent from Spain.
very pleasant for me, wearing it during the summer, wearing it during fall season (beautiful, like narciso rodriguez for him ... suitable for rainy days and cold weather )
Great review, brother. I'm a rabid fan of the original, JUST bought l'extreme online, so waiting for that. And I guess I may as well try Sport for the Summer. Thank you for the endorsement, valuable coming from another EN fan. I'm gonna take a closer look at Lorson's ouvre.
EXCELLENT review!! Thank you so much. I have the original (2nb bottle) and the a l extrême. I m a very big fan. I know now that I need to try the sport version :-)
@@abuabdullaah9476 i haven't smelt many vetiver fragrances apart from terre de Hermes and frank olivier black touch which i both really like.... would ENS be good for winter you think?
Another great content Marc I do love the note of Vetiver and I have Vetiver Essence from Ferrari and what you recommend between the three these fragrances Encre Noire, Encre Noire Sport or Extreme and have a great, blessed, positive, productive and safe week. 👍👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Is it worth owning the flankers if one already has the original EN (which I really like a lot)? I like to buy things that aren't TOO similar but of high quality/value for money.
Hey brother,, I live in Chicago where it gets like 20 below zero in the winter.... can you recommend a couple of designer fragrences that will cut through that kind of cold and still have good projection and longevity.......
Thanks for your review of this fragrance. Of the other 2, which one would you most highly recommend? I am thinking of purchasing Extreme, because winter is on the way.
Both are really excellent. The original is darker and smoky as well. The à l extrême is more polished version of the original. I would keep the original for winter but you know I tried it in other seasons and it works as well, depends how you spray it. The à l extrême is perfect for fall and even for other seasons.
Great job on your production value. I just watched my first video from you of your Burberry Brit review from WAY back. You've come so far. Wish you much success.
My love for vetiver started and stayed on tom ford grey vetiver , with this I might try getting some samples as it sounds very promising and ofcourse your reviews are super detailed , thanks for this.. have a great week ☺
Hey Guru, I hope all is good with you and family, salute! I have a request don't know if you did a video already or never talked about the subject. I'm in need of help, I want to buy CREED shit but IFRA regulations are screwing everybody left and right. So that said, what is is your take on new formulations, do you feel the same quality from the house of CREED or is it watered down? I am interested in GIT to start "the journey" but given the situation I would hate to waste my money on damaged formulations cause I sampled it couple years ago but people say it has changed. Or is there any other house that still keeps their great fragrances intact or even improved? Amouage? Le Labo? I will appreciate your take on this subject is very depressing indeed. By the way, great video as usual.
I trust your nose, also, encre noir sport has a good rating in fragrantica and by other reviewers, I buy it but I do not like it, It is unique, i will give you that, but I do not like it, it has something sour, it is aquatic in the sense that it smells like seaweed, I do not know ... something similar happened to me with terre d'hermes, everyone praised it, I bought it and although for me it's better than this, it does not excite me, it may be that vetiver does not work with me
I love the juice, even performs better than the original (which I sold). Great take Marc, loving the enthusiasm - nice watch too mate. Have you tried Quorum? What'd you think?
Steven Sproat we love it 💃 It's similar to kouros in that there's a dirty/clean vibe going on. 15 quid is ludicrously cheap for a scent this good (bit like the encre noire line actually)
Funny fact, guys. I fell in love with this the first I smelled it. It was smth completely different. But ...my mom who is a manager in Douglas just couldnt handle the smell, it made her literally vomit. There is smth to it that girls just dont like about this. Just girls ....I suppose its not very attractive fragnance. Since the girl reviews were not very popular, i just dropped it and stopped using it. Guys like it, thou..
I am used to a £120 vetiver from Miller Harris but this sport is amazing and really shocked for the price. Especially with all prices going up in life to find something cheaper and gives off the smell I want them Lalique are awesome for creating all three on the Encre Noire series.
Otherwise I'm a very big fan of encre Noire. This is my second bottle of the original and I love it and even received many compliments. So it seems that people either hate or love it!! I also have the a l extrême version and as usually said this one is also more wearable in my opinion. However if you want more impact, something more daring you should go for the original but keep in mind that this a fragrance that your nose needs to get used to, so give it some time. With this review now I know what I need to do to complete my collection :-)
Je parle francais un petit peut dans mes revues, cependant mon francais est franco ontarien et la communautee en europe pense que m'on francais n'est pas correct donc je pense pas ces quelque chose je veux faire. Je suis content avec mes revue en anglais.
Michael Andrews It’s definitely a Canadian French pronunciation, one of his native languages. Canadian French rolls the r’s while Parisian French has a more back-of-throat approach.
What no it don’t smell like soap to me the dry down is a deep danky vetiver with a fluffy edge. Tiny bit soapy but that’s not on the main notes, unless my nose is absolutely terrible.
Fantastic review mate! This trilogy is amazing , the flankers to the original all have something special to offer.
Ten years strong...Kudos to the Robes08 channel. Love the content.

Great review. I own all three Encre Noires. Superb quality at a low price!

Awesome description mate!
Super dope review!
Definitely buy this one asap!
Peace!
most underrated fragrance channel!!!
I have 2 of the 3 and your def right about it being the best money you'll ever spend!! Love the 2 I have.. Sport will be my last purchase
very pleasant for me, wearing it during the summer, wearing it during fall season (beautiful, like narciso rodriguez for him ... suitable for rainy days and cold weather )
Purchased EN Sport yesterday. Great fragrance and really reminds me of Montblanc Starwalker.

Blind bought this shit for 16 bucks. I'm excited!
Every house should have Bentley men Intense.. Just let it get that whiskey color and he's good to go.
big fan of the sport flanker, great review
Please, do a video on how to store fragrances so they last as long as possible. We all would appreciate it!
EXCELLENT review!! Thank you so much. I have the original (2nb bottle) and the a l extrême. I m a very big fan. I know now that I need to try the sport version :-)
Great review, man ! I´m blind buying this sucker...
Did you? And was it worth it? Im considering a blind buy. Just to try something, i started collecting just last year. I can get 100ml for around $35
Tried it today. Very good substitute of Tom Ford's Gray Vetiver
Is it worth buying u think?
@@ehsanak4072 if you like Vetiver it can't get any better than this

I really dislike marine, "aquatic", fragrances, but this one is not so bad. Maybe the best aquatic frangrance around.

Just did my trilogy reviews of all 3 encre noir scents thanks to you Marc! Thanks brother. Keep rocking!!
Great take brother 👍, thanks

Yes i remember that and i bought Encre noir because of you man back then 👍 great scent. I have to try this one out .. great review👍👍👍👍👍

the original is a classic I'd go for that then extreme because they are both great
Great job on your production value. I just watched my first video from you of your Burberry Brit review from WAY back. You've come so far. Wish you much success.
just subbed b/c I appreciate your commitment to detail in describing the fragrances

Great review! Would you go ENS or Grey Vetiver for an all-around, versatile, work-appropriate Vetiver?
GV for the win.
I bought this a few years ago, I could only get half way through the bottle before I sold it. I can only take so much of that vetiver lavender mix
Hey with Halloween coming up quick can you do a fun review on the new Demeter Elvira’s Sexy Witch? 🎃🐱
One of my favorites. Great review brother.
Is the full review of al extreme coming soon? I'm think about getting it.
Hey can you review the new L'homme Lacoste please 😊👍
Marc, the autofocus focuses on the box and the bottle and you're a bit blurry
just the way i like it, focus on the box and I'm blurry
robes08 Hahaha. 😂😂😂 Are you serious?!!
You forget Chanel Sycamore. How does it compare to extreme?
You can compare them but EN is closer then Extreme to Sycomore
Thanks for sharing this with us! You need to give us a review of Encre Noire L'Extreme soon.

hey buddy, I don't think I have worn it while cycling as I've barely rode my bike this year!
Steven Sproat I've just got quorum, me and my mate got a bottle each. Opening them tonight. This your doing, Sproat!
Rich Mitch let me know what you think! It's a corker
Steven Sproat absolutely, it's a blind buy for both of us (10 quid)! Mate can't wait!

I need to do a niche one first.

Looks like another disappearing act. Your subs deserve better Marc.
Personally not a fan of Encre Noire or any of its flankers. Sycomore and Grey Vetiver are worth the higher price tag, do yourself a favour.
It's about personal taste but both you mentioned are outstanding vetivers.
