Encre Noire line is ideal for intellectual and introvert guys in my opinion
Those are simply the longest lasting fragrances in my collection. They contain around 40%+ of ISO E Super which would explain why you simply go anosmic to it. I tested Al Extreme on my son 2 years ago and he smelled amazing the whole day but he couldn't smell himself when asked. Just test it on someone else and come 2 meters close to them after 3 hours. I bet you'll change your view
I can't small fragnance after one hour, and it is so interesting to me because people are saying that this is longest lasting fragnance in thair colection. I'm sad because i really like the smell of it.
Luka Papan you’re sensitive to ISO E super. I am too, i bought this and wanted by night which everyone calls beast mode and i thought i bought fakes they were so weak to me. I moved apartments, so my nose is not used to my new environment and i can catch whiffs of my cologne hours from application now. Also i get a decent amount of compliments (at least one a day) which let me know they last. And i’ve only been wearing those 2 and mancera hindu kush this winter
Thokozane that would explain why people in the reviews are complaining about the longevity . I hate going nose blind , people are giving me compliments while I cannot smell and enjoy the fragrance that I am wearing at the time 😔

I 100% agree I would rate it a 9 in projection and longevity. I was shocked when they said it doesn't last long. Right now on my wrist I have Individuel and on my neck Versace the dreamer which is supposedly a beast but Encre Noire cuts through all that its strong. Really strong and lasts
Both are very good but I really enjoy the A'Lextreme. The incense is a great facet off my skin with the vetiver.

i was about to comment the same thing. last year, i sprayed on the original encre noire in the morning, then went to work, and then to a friend's house in the evening he said he could still smell it (albeit, he didn't like it though...). as for a l'extreme, same thing. did about 3-4 sprays in the morning, and literally 12 hrs later at 9 PM, a coworker tells me he can still strongly smell my scent.
So which one do you guys recommend? The original encre noir or the extreme?

Just stumbled across your reviews; great work guys. This morning I layered Encre Noire A L'Extreme with EN Sport and that works really well.
I used the classic version before.
I bought the Xtreme version, although it has EDP, its performance is lower than the classic version,

I blind-bought the original Encre Noire and fell in love with it after a couple days. Don't be fooled by the EDT concentration, it projects like crazy and is one of the few fragrances I can smell in my room for over a day after spraying (!). Truly a hidden gem, especially for that price. I've tested the whole series, I don't like the Sport at all (too soapy), and the A L'extreme is just different, not so hardcore which might make it easier to wear for some people.

@@natkobratko3198 In terms of "mass appealing" it's really tough to tell as they are unlike typical designer frags you'd smell on a daily basis. People often mention the Sport one to be the easiest to wear especially for younger guys and I might agree with that even though I don't really like it that much (to be fair they are all quite difficult if you're not used to this kind of scents). A L'extreme is probably the most refined one and for me the most satisfying to wear. They are all very specific scents so of course best to get samples of the whole series if you can.
That interesting, you'd think the extreme version would be more hard core than the og lol
I very much enjoy the sport version. They should have called it the Office version because it is still complex but slightly brighter, and I could never see wearing it in a "sporty" setting.

A ' LExtreme has more deeper resinous facets, I found it last longer on my skin than the original but only just. It depends on your skin and kudos to the sport as well, I love the whole line!

IMO of all the colognes I have including beasts like A*men, Sauvage, Eros, 24Gold I definitely wouldn't say Encre Noire is not Long Lasting. And probably projects just as much as 24 Gold which is king in projection and longevity
Is it just me or does the opening of the Extreme smell just like Jim Beam? Once it settles down, however, it's absolutely stunning. Huge compliment getter on the right person. It announces your presence and exerts your authority! Reminds me of Bentley Intense but sharper and earthier.

ENE is the best from the line.On my skin is very close to Wonderwood.
Once upon a time the term "extreme" did mean the same fragrance but longer lasting. I remember when I liked Dior Eau Sauvage and they released Eau Sauvage Extreme and it was exactly the same only it lasted longer. Nowadays the designers use the term loosely.
Have the L'Extreme. Could not smell it at all in the beginning. It still seems not to be made for me, too weak to recognize.

I personally love the Extreme and the Sport more than the Original. I find the Extreme smoother, woodier, dressier, even more masculine. The Sport is very pleasant and versatile, and as with the OG, I find these two both to be pretty Unisex. Not the Extreme though, it's very manly to me. But of the three, Extreme is my favorite. And I get 5-6 hours on skin and clothes, however, I live in the Caribbean, so it's hot. If I lived somewhere where it got cold, I'd probably get better performance from it.
how is performance for sport? for me, a l'extreme is a strong performer. i get 12 hours with 4 sprays. i say this because i sprayed it one one morning and went to work, and around 9 PM, a coworker was telling me my scent was really strong.

@@lullemans72 Well, like I had said, I live somewhere pretty hot so fragrances here project more, but also evaporate off you faster. At least that is the case for me. If you live somewhere with milder temperatures then I believe you should get better performance than me.

I never use Encre Noire before, but i use the extreme version and get 5 hours longevity with moderate projection & sillage, nothing special about that but it's smell sooo good
5 hours ? I definitely get more maybe it's just a bit of desensitivity after a while
I tried a sample of the emcee noire and it smelled better and louder and Is defiently a very “casket “ smell. The extreme seems to not be as strong, and leans more of spices, not in a smooth way though. It has a little bit of warmth while still carrying the “woody” part of the casket but not the casket itself. It’s okay.
What about the Encre Noir Sport?

I have the three versions and I like them, each one has its charm. the original is the one that I like the most and I think it is the most versatile but if the performance is not that good, three hours at most.
I just ordered the extrem as it was recommended to me as most classy out of three, what is your opinion on this? It was a blind buy as theyre so cheap compared to designer fragrances.

guys pls say encre noire performance ON YOUR SKIN is no longer , because someone guys dont buy it because dont project or dont stay longer on skin because see this video , because encre noire classic on my skin stay 8 to 10 hours with a good projection in first 2 - 3 hours , but encre noire extreme on my skin stay 5 - 6 hours with a VERY GOOD projection in first 2 hours maybe on another person have 10 h plus on skin

I work as a horticulturist outdoors. I am lookin for something that would work well with plants and soil. Maybe the regular noir. Would be good because it's a green flavor? Or any other recommendations? Thank you, love your channel.
If you work with plants and soil I would guess you already smell like EN, unless you want smell the same even when you are not working get another frag.

So why is A L'Extreme not as good?? Because it smells more niche?
Encre Noire is an EDT so of course it will project better since it has more alcohol in it. A L'extreme is an EDP so more oil will last longer but not project as far.... Typically anyways

I have the Extreme, don't like the medicinal opening and actually I bought it just because of its price but it is too smoky for me, difficult to wear unless it is very cold outside

it lasts, just dont spray 3x...you have to put 8-12. Then i have it on me WHOLE DAY.

Bizarre as I get an easy 8 hours from Encre Noire. If I go heavy on the trigger 12hours is not out of the question..

Original Lasts about 8hrs on me. 🇬🇧 Extreme is just a weaker modern take on the original.

I had a sample of Encre Noir Lalique a few months back and honestly, the thing smelled like wet/damp dollars.
Yes, some people get that but give it time and you will love the dry down

I just have the extreme. It's a tough wear. Nothing really pleasant about it. Smells like a piece of lumber sprayed with mosquito repellent. Last time I wore I had a few people comment that I smelled like chemicals. It resides in the box of blind buys that I have a hard time wearing. Everyone has different taste though. Try it before you buy it.

Encre Noire could possibly be the weakest fragrance in my collection, at least bottom three. You really need to go heavy on the trigger with that one if you want anyone else to notice it. I was very surprised by this since I had the Sport version before and that one is much much stronger. A bit sad because I like the smell of the OG more.
Glad I wasn't the only one.. usually these type of fragrances are extremely strong... this one needs sprayed alot
