I went to a Warby Parker store because I needed an inexpensive eye exam ($75!). The service was fantastic at all levels, and I purchased a $95 pair of glasses that I love. I've worn glasses nearly all my life and this the best and most affordable experience I've had.
Glad you’ve had a similar experience! They just opened up a store near me, I’m can’t wait to go in and try it out. They’re also moving into contacts, which is really interesting to me as well.
lol you thought that was an inexpensive eye exam. mine was $10 with insurance lol
@@andrewab1209 Not everyone has insurance, so it is a relatively inexpensive exam.
@@klahneria Thank you so much! I have decided to go to Warby Parker.
I have 3 pair of glasses from Warby Parker (over 4 years) and my prescription sunglasses just got shipped yesterday. I absolutely love them! The quality is great and honestly, when compared to trying on expensive designer frames from the optometrist (Luxottica), nothing felt as nice and as affordable.
Also, I loved the fashion show at 4:56!
Thanks Andy! Had to put something ridiculous in there somewhere 😊
I'm a huge fan of Warby Parker It is one of the best ways to make a fashion statement. 😊
Got a Chamberlain and a Brady. Looking forward to them coming in manana. Both combined were half the price of my Tom Ford's!
Hi Josh 👋
You're welcome, and, Thank You🙂.
I'm sure there will be some grateful people that hear about this.
I know how expensive glasses can be....I used to get ones that were rimless, making them basically, just lenses. And THEY were expensive ! ($300 +)...I never could figure out why glasses, minus the frames, were More expensive than ones With frames !
Anyway, my eye Dr. Told me I needed cataract surgery, (got so bad I could barely see my phone, which happens to be my one, and only device. No PC).
Had the surgery, one eye at a time, all went well, (had NO idea how bad my vision was, the difference was Mind Blowing !)
Didn't realize I hadn't even been seeing colors ! ....My favorite time was when only one eye was done, and I could actually compare the difference....I found it quite pleasantly shocking 😃.
The upshot, No more glasses needed, sans, for reading.
Sorry, I can imagine just how thrilling, my little story will be to You 😏 ❗
Thanks for the information Josh, I'll pass it on to my Husband, who is, cataract free, but has needed glasses all his life. ( Poor Guy, he's now jealous of my, 20/25 vision 🤓).

Just got my prescription progressive sunglasses. They are perfection at a great price. I LOVE this company's products, service and staff. The store in West Hollywood Ca is so CUTE. Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I"ll be back...
You didn't really talk about how the glasses held up after 6 months and what your use case was.
My Warby Parker glasses have held up wonderfully. I wear one pair only for driving, or other long distance vision situations. And now I have a second pair that I use when I'm on the computer (with progressive lenses). I've worn glasses most of my life and these are comfortable and hold up very well.
@@klahneria thank you for the update!
I also accidentally ordered an additional case when I ordered my first pair. I felt like an idiot when I got my package and found out there were two cases but since you had a similar experience maybe it's a sign of a bigger problem of a lack of thorough communication. That was kind of annoying but I guess I can just keep the extra case in my car or something. Other than that, I have had a great experience with Warby Parker. I just ordered a new set of prescription sunglasses and I'm looking forward to see how they are.
I was just there, they mentioned the case it comes in but on the website they don’t. Maybe they just mention that in the store
Evelyn Pak Yeah, I went to a Warby Parker location to try on some pairs before I ordered my first set online shortly after. The staff never mentioned anything about the case. I figured one of the reasons why the glasses are so cheap is because they didn’t come with a case so I just bought one expecting to need to a case. Whenever I ordered the pair online last year it didn’t mention anything about the case - the webpage didn’t say if it came with or without one. Maybe they’ve changed it by now. It’s not that big of a deal. The case was pretty cheap, as well. I like how you can fold it down and travel with it if you want so I’m glad I accidentally picked it up.
This is great, I think I’m going to love my WP try-on kit. I can’t wait to receive it on Friday.
Chris The Tech Guy how was your experience
Melly Mel I actually enjoyed it, I got everything pretty clean and sealed in plastic bags.
@@christechguy cool deal. Thanks for the response. There is a store near me so I want to stop by when everything calms down a bit. Take care.
Melly Mel no problem their customer support is awesome too my Wilkie glasses were getting some small scratches on the lens they just sent me out a whole new pair told me to just send the old pair back.
I just got my Warby Parker Hardys, I like them more than my Ray Bans, only thing the RBs have that the WPs don't are the hinges that can hyperextend outwards but I'll take the Warbys anyday.
Awesome video it’s very informative. I am very glad to learn this is exactly what I’ve been looking for when buying glasses. I ordered my try at home box today looking forward to it.
Yeah, frames are only manufactured by about 3 companies. All the other brands are all "private label" frames meaning one of the big 3 makes the frames but puts the other companies name on the product. Also frames are retailed for $200-$600 but in all reality only cost $20-80 to produce and the lenses which are sold for $100-$400 only cost about $30-$120 the higher cost being for the trifocal no line transitions with scratch resistance and high index. In other words there is a huge markup on eyeglasses and that markup has just increased as time has passed and automation has been implemented in the process. Mainly in the area of lens production. Note that the scratch resistance etc are for additional cost at other retailers.
I have had my glasses for just over a year and they are just as good as any other glasses I've ordered. I'm hard on the lenses but these are still without any scratches on the lenses. I'm still very happy.
the lens alone on my warby parker glasses were over 300.00…..but if you are young /and or have just a single vision script you can get a pretty good price with them, as well as other online optical sites
Warby Parker all the way, I will never buy Luxottica products EVER! Again...
I just got a pair, very affordable especially with insurance
I love Warby Parker glasses so much. I've had my pair for over 3 years now of daily wear, and I'm just now looking to replace them because my prescription is so far out of date. Normally I just replace them when they start to wear or break, but these have never even showed signs of dying on me.
I haven’t bought glasses in years but I’m tired of wearing contacts 24/7 now and want a pair of glasses I can throw on in the morning or even in the evening to wind down before bed. I ordered the 5 try on pairs and they will arrive Saturday I can’t wait!!
M C report back here on how the experience went. Im interested in them.
I ordered some glasses I got the high index lenses and transition I had no trouble with the ordering process it does tell you however that there is a case and cleaning cloth included you may have overlooked it in the process
I spent almost 300$ but that was by choice I didn't just get the basic scrip lenses and I got expedited shipping
Thank you for your valuable input. Definitely buying now.
Great review, which frames did you go with?
Can I ask what the adjustment was that you needed on your Warby Parker eyeglasses? They are solid frames so I'm just curious?
I had them adjusted at BJs optical. You're able to bend the parts that go over your ears so you get a good fit.
you don't wear them is like reviewing a car without showing the car because there's a traffic on the highway!! what's the point of the review?
Dope review
Warby Parker gives up to a 50.00 reimbursement if you happen to be charged for your adjustment. They seem to have considered everything!
They don’t manufacturer their own glasses! They buy them from low cost factories in China at a wholesale cost of roughly $1-$2 their cost. Their Single Vision lenses are $2. Anyone could make glasses for $95 at $3-$4 cost!
Would you say it's of significant lower quality than other brands which now outsource to China?
Josh Abreu from what I’ve Of people wanting their glasses fit by me after buying a WP pair I am confident in saying these are on the bottom of quality.
Thanks, I've been looking at them and was skeptical when I saw stuff about how they "craft" their frames, even though they are made in China.
Josh Abreu they don’t craft their own frames. They could design them and have the factory make them. However their styles are rather generic and have been around for decades. So again I highly doubt they even design their own. It’s mass produced low quality at best. In fact I would estimate they spend no more than $1-$3 on the cost of their frames. Their Cost Of Goods would dictate that in order to make a profit.
What would you recommend instead? I typically go with ray ban but they seem to get more and more expensive
It’s like you keep saying Werby instead of Warby. I got my glasses from them. $195 complete. Still cheaper than almost every other place. Best glasses I’ve ever worn.
"friends, family, and most important--coworkers" lol
My experience with them out tha gate sucks cus I bought my glasses on tha 9th and still haven't gotten em smh
Warby Parker has great prices, but let's be completely honest... quality has is not the greatest. I've owned many WP frames and they are only good for the cheap prices. But, if you want quality like Prodesign Denmark or Silhouette (Austria) you definitely to pay for it.
I've had my WP glasses for a year and haven't had any problems aside from tightening screws.
Do you have to pay to ship them back or do they send you a prepaid label?
Nope, you get a prepaid label.
@@6MonthsLater Luxottica bought them eventually. It's the illusion of Indie eyewear. Luxoticca just has many consumer markets. Sigh... Glasses really cost about $40 to manufacture there's "$39dollarglasses" Eyebuydirect and "GlassesUSA" that offer cheaper frames as well trumping warby parker. You just have to know where to look.
I have 3 pairs, wife has 3 pairs, daughter(6yrs old) has 2 ..... all from Warby Parker
Are those "The hardy"?
Yes, I believe so.
It's too bad you didn't mention one of the biggest selling points of Warby Parker: their philanthropy. But I guess it's like CEO Blumenthal said, people are consumerist before they are socially conscious.
If you do an at home try on package, be careful! They lose your order, and when you do a follow up email 3 weeks later, they claim that they have been trying to contact you (untrue) and ask for information that you already received an email stating that they received. Then if you have a credit card fraud, and close an account, if you call in immediately, they will still try to charge the account you closed and informed them about three weeks ago. I don’t suggest them at all, but if you use them, send weekly follow up emails to make sure they have your information and are actually processing it
Minor quibble: it's *Warby* Parker, not *Werby* Parker.
I have the same type of glasses as you!
Luxotica’s monopoly is scary!! 😟 Warby Parker has to succeed…
Getting my first pair from warby in a couple days!
I just ordered the fletchers for $95, such a good deal!
Tired of sales pitches disguised as "reviews" 👎
Do they take any insurance?
www.warbyparker.com/insurance
Not sure if they take every insurance, but that link will guide you through what they do take.
When you do their try 5, and you require progressive lenses, and a few more lense options, do they send you all 5 frames with the lense option, or after choosing the frames you want you then order the ones you like online after you send everything back?
They don’t send you glasses with the lens options you want, they only send you the frames with the try at home box. Once you find a pair you like, you’ll then add what lens options you’d like.
@@6MonthsLater thanks man. I appreciate the response. Cheers!
Just received your 5 try ons...great quality! Will buy only the frame, then take them to my doctor office.
If you wear progressives, and want transition lenses , you can expect to pay at least 445.00 a pair. …in 2022
Y u act like this is a new thing, they’ve been around for 5 years now
Fuck Luxottica I always try to get warby or Safilo
If you love your glasses, why aren't you wearing them in the video?
anyhow-- good video. Thanks for the info!
Thanks! They reflect the studio lights too much for me to wear them in videos with my current setup.
I am not sure what this guy is on, but warby and parker makes cheap affordable glasses, definitely not quality, but enough to get through the day
Remember to get your eye health checked
$295 for progressive lens?? 👎 Way better deal at COSTCO!
My dad got Warby Parker frames only, then went somewhere else to get the lenses made. That's always an option.
I’m sorry they look cheap lol
BTW if you can’t wear your glasses in front of you lights your AR Coat is bad. My lenses will never be visible under any lighting. And polycarbonate lenses are the lowest level of clarity. 32 on the ABBE Value chart. I apologize on behalf of my industry for failing you so miserably that you turned to such a atrocious product
Yes that's what I was thinking! Where's your ar coating! And I'm a consumer!
Once you go with Independent eyewear brands its hard to go back. Warby Parker is shit, their lenses are not premium quality.
Why do you pronounce it "Werby"? It is spelled "Warby" so wouldn't you expect it to be like when the boys go off to "war"? Or do you say when the boys go off to "wer"? Yikes?
Thanks for pointing that out. While I’ve heard people say it both ways (probably because I’m in the south), officially it should pronounced like you pointed out.
I just received my Warby glasses and I love them, awesome.
