  • Ever heard of glasses from Warby Parker? Dr. Allen breaks down all you need to know in this Warby Parker Review! //// Try 5 pairs for FREE here 👉 tidd.ly/3DAIlFO
Eyeglasses from Warby Parker have been growing in popularity and I have seen many of my patients wearing their glasses. In order to complete a full review, I ordered a pair with my glasses prescription as well as one of their Home Try On boxes. Although online glasses remain taboo in the eye care world, I was overall pleased with my Warby Parker glasses. I found Warby Parker frames to be well designed and made at a higher quality than many other online glasses brands I have tried. As far as online glasses go, they only provided two lens options which I was slightly disappointed by, but I did find the lens quality to be pretty decent.
    *PRO TIP*
If you are looking to purchase online glasses, it is IMPORTANT to continue seeing your eye doctor yearly for eye health evaluations. Although you may be seeing well, many eye diseases may creep up without affecting your eyesight until it's too late.

I work at a WP brick and mortar as an optician, and the durability of the frames is what I’ve been impressed with! I’ve had frames come in with the temples bent every direction from being stepped on, sat on, etc. and those barrels hold up!!! I can usually get them adjusted and back to good as new!

These are perfect glasses for contact lens users who just need something for at night. Often insurance won’t cover night time or backup glasses. I even used my Warby Parker glasses for over a week full-time when I was abroad in 2019.

Awesome video as always :D Usually the hardest thing for me is finding glasses that are big enough to be comfortable. I have a bulbous head, my old favorite pair of glasses were my Ocean Pacific Sunglasses, one of the very few pairs I was able to find that had excellent UV protection, had the sleek sporty look and fit very nicely. A close friend of mine gifted me a pair of Steve Madden sunglasses that have become my new favorite. They are a little more stylized square frame sunglasses which I never thought I'd like but these frames fit the best I've ever felt. So I gave my old OP glasses to my dad so he'd have a nice protective pair since he was very frugal and anything over $20 was too much for glasses. I do end up with the luxury of trying a lot more frames than most but per usual, 80-90% of the time they're too small for me however it is fun to see and try all the different lens types.

Just bought my second pair. I have a wacky prescription and they delivered in 4 days. You can't beat that. Good quality and very professional on the phone. They also have a prescription change policy that if your script changes in 12 months after receiving your glasses they will replace them no charge. How can you beat that?

I have a very, very complicated prescription and needed progressives. I went to one of their stores in person and their staff was very helpful, and glasses are sturdy and they got prescription right.
With a complicated prescription, price and saving money really important but only of quality is good and they met this well.

Warby Parker is definitely one of the best online eye glass brands. I ordered my first pair from them 3 years ago and loved the frame. There was a minor problem with my prescription when I received them (fish bowl vision) and they put me in contact with the lens specialist who diagnosed the problem over the phone and sent me a second pair. So that experience was great. Overall because I have a high prescription, light sensitivity, and deal with optic side effects from chronic migraines I prefer getting my lenses from an optical just because of the higher quality but I would definitely order frames from Warby Parker again.

I have had a couple of pairs of Warby Parker glasses, and they held up fine. I haven't had a pair in a while, but the anti reflective has been decent. The lens coating that I get on glasses from my doctor's office are noticeably better, but a pair of glasses are also 2-3 times the cost. I think I would miss the hydrophobic, easy to clean lenses, but if I want something a little more trendy that I wouldn't wear as often, I wouldn't hesitate to get another pair of WP.

I just got glasses from Warby Parker and I am in love with them. Their unique style, excellent quality and the price is much lower than others stores that I have looked at and that goes especially for Lens Crafters, who I used to use all the time, but they are so much more expensive there even with the 50% off discount that Lens Crafters periodically does on Lens. So, I recommend Warby Parker 100%. I feel high class and stylish wearing these glasses. There name, Warby Parker, is even cool to say. Also, for every pair that someone purchases another pairs gets sent to someone in need of glasses and how great is that...well, so great!

I recently ordered a nice clear acetate frame with 1.61 high-index photochromic blue blocking + UV blocking lenses from Zenni with a super hydrophobic anti-reflective coating for $85. The lens material they use is from MitSui Chemicals and seems to be a modified version of the MR-8 material with an exceptionally high Abbe value similar to Trivex, while having a high index and decent impact resistance. These lenses seem super high-end compared to any other glasses, let alone cheap ones. If I'm not mistaken, the blue blocking and UV blocking is built into the lens material itself, and the super hydrophobic anti-reflective coating is included for free. The lenses were only $40 and they charged $12 extra to process my strong prescription. All in, I got 10% off and free shipping. Exceptional price for something with all the bells and whistles. It may not be EssilorLuxottica name brand, but its still fantastic. Another thing I like about Zenni is that they offer engraving on most of their products for super cheap, and free engraving for rewards members. Nothing feels more satisfying than having your name printed on prescription glasses. Oh and I forgot...they threw in a free premium folding hard case because I bought Kittles collaboration frames.

Durability and comfort are essential for me. I'm still wearing the most comfortable pair of glasses that I ever purchased and that was from 8 years ago and 2 glasses since then. They are comfortable and I can't remember going to get them readjusted after the initial fitting. I wear them everywhere and I have no face fatigue trying to keep them in the right spot on my face. I'm desperately trying to find another pair of frames that I can say this about. It's very frustrating.

The last set of glasses I bought from my eye doctor didn't fit well at all, and the sales person made the reading part of the bi-focal so small I have to move my head up and down to read. That got me thinking about WP. Personnel change so often in the sales side that I don't feel I get expert sales assistance at the store. So, why not order online? I love my warby parker glasses-3 pair. My grandchildren ages 6 and 10 have warby parker glasses. They are sturdy, well priced, warby works with me when they break their glasses. I liked that at the store the optician went over eye glass care with the kids and they have their personal cleaning towel that comes with the glasses. Both love to stop by the store to see what is new and have their glasses adjusted. We were able to get 2 pair for $180.00 for my grandaughter. She is really hard on frames. Altogether our family has 7 pair of Warby Parker glasses.

I had frames that lasted me 5 years & was bummed they don't replace lenses - I can only assume how easy it is to send lenses for specific frames! while I absolutely had a great WP experience, the thought of all the plastic waste because they don't encourage ppl to reuse their frames isn't a great one. I mean, from a biz perspective, isn't replacing lenses an easy, repeatable revenue stream if you sell durable frames which mine proved itself to be? (new frames/lenses I ordered from a local store were more expensive, less stylish, didn't last a year, have a horrible coat and belt out of shape so easily - made me realize how much I miss my WPs & the value they are!)

I'm shopping for a 2nd pair that I use just for computer use as my regular prescription is a progressive. So price is important since those progressives are already expensive, but also quality because I spend so much time in front of several large monitors. I'm hoping WP will be the ticket for this use. My optometrist though is against any online glasses but I think WP might be better than what he imagines. And $150 is a heck of a lot better than $400+.

I've never heard of this brand, but will def check-it-out, but frames sound a bit pricey for 'middle-of-the-road' frames. As for me, I am a bit more limited as to where I can get online glasses as I require horizontal [In] prisms. Both Payne & Zenni offer this at a slight extra charge.
Honestly, I'm pretty well sure the blunt of all my future eyewear will be rather limited to polarised sunglasses or both Cx/Rx colourblind Pilestone ones, as the special lens I require ['E'-lens] is specific to blue/yellow CVD, as I am the more rare tritanomaly colourblind. [And I can het this w/ my current Rx added in the lenses no problem at all.]

Zenni optical eyeglasses are made in DanYangCity, China (丹阳).
They have a very high turnover of employees because they have No Respect for them.
The factory is in China while the American owner with his Chinese wife lives in California, so the Top management office is also in California. Note that the Chinese factory is owned by Zenni. You can check the company info from their website.
The Lenses are NOT manufactured by Zenni But sourced from other factories . The Free polycarbonate 1.57 Index Lenses actually costs the factory only $1 a pair to procure.
(I'm Chinese. My best friend and roommate used to Work for Zenni China for over 7 years)
Zenni always Does Penny-pinching by short-Changing their employees. No annual bonus During Spring Festival , if they do, they only give a $15 Gift certificate . What a joke 😂

My first priority is whether the company is an in-network provider for my vision insurance. Although Warby Parker accepts most vision insurance plans, they may not be an in-network provider which means the customer will pay more out of pocket for glasses/contact lenses.

I tried WP once and found the frame fit well and was durable. Their website found a frame that my thin nose. It's hard to find narrow frames in my local eyeshop. But, my local shop is great in finding me a frame this time. Lens quality was a problem for WP. WP's main market is probably younger buyers with a single correction. I have pretty strong myopia and moderate presbyopia. The WP lenses were not as good as my local shop. Lens quality (accuracy of Rx) is my main reason for purchase.

I want to love WP glasses, especially since I need a narrow frame and want a clear plastic frame. They have those. I have returned my pair already, though. Something about them make me dizzy and sick. I have been wearing glasses my entire life. I have some good pairs from eyebuydirect with the exact same prescription and I am totally fine, great vision. Likewise, I have a retail pair (by Polo) and they are perfect as well. Not sure what is going in here. Triple checked everything.

Buying online must be a great option, sigh! With needing 12 diopters of base out prism for distance buying online not an option for me, sadly. With that script I also appreciate optometrist advice re size and shape of frames to minimise distortion. Finding a store able to get it right first time (or even second or third!) is an annual issue, as prism requirement alters either in distance or near script (4 diopters base in) most often yearly.

I have several factors making choosing frames and lenses difficult. Petite face, and high prescription. I typically wear a 48-15-125. Try finding those not in the children’s section! I usually get mine from an eye professional due to the lense type. On a retiree income that can be especially costly. I have in the past purchased my own frames and had them order and install the lenses.

Today I got in my pair of Bensen Warby Parker glasses. This is my second pair of the same frame. It's been about 3 years since I got my last pair of Bensen glasses. Unlike the previous frames that say made in china, these frames say that they are made in vietnam. I have noticed a degradation in the quality compared to the previous frames. The frames Creek when I pull on them, and the plastics feel lighter overall. The hinges are also not as solid.

I'm a diehard contact lens wearer--I have lenses on my eyes for about 16 or so of my 18 waking hours each day. While eyeglasses from the clinic may be superior in every way, there's no way I can justify $500 or more for a pair of glasses that I wear for an hour or two a day. Maybe I'm the odd one out, but even with the ultra-expensive eyeglasses with their superior lens materials and high-end coatings (yes, I've had them in the past), I still get better acuity from my contacts--making it doubly infeasible for me to spend extra dollars on expensive eyeglasses. I'm so glad places like Warby Parker exist for folks like me.

    • @Xe054
      @Xe054 2 года назад

Yes, glasses give you tunnel vision. I feel like I'm not as aware of my surroundings when I'm wearing glasses and miss subtle social cues with glasses on. Wearing contacts feels like I'm getting the whole wide screen HD experience. The only problem is that I get dry, red eyes using contacts and also, people always think that/ask if I'm on drugs. So it's usually more comfortable for me to wear glasses throughout the day.
