Super useful tool. I combine this band looped around the upper abs and ribs cage to work on expanding them it works great. Also if you want to train the exhalation you can get those thick balloon and breath out slow in to them with purssed lipe and proper tongue posture. Super great way to work on you hime or to get rid of a ribecage flare
would have been nice if he did like a 2 minutes saying he bought it and why then then do another after a week or 2 using it daily. For the price i'm not getting one unless i win the lotto.
I only ever feel this in my gut mostly. The goal is get the Diaphragm engaged. you feel fatigue in the abdomen after use. If your neck hurts then you likely are to high on the setting and trying to exaggerate the movement.
A tip on how to better your breathing technique. You let flex your shoulders and neck too much, they should be relaxed. Your diaphragm is supposed to do the most of work. Focus on sticking your belly out more when breathing in and making sure your chest doesn’t puff up. Here’s in depth video to help you out. Relearning how you breath takes a lot of consistency, I’ve learned that since I was taught to breath better through acting classes. ruclips.net/video/mNHkAs4SSOo/видео.htmlsi=JEXTvSX7g1EZdYgc
I can now effectively hold my breath for 10 min straight! Haha jokes aside I feel it supports my overall well being. I do reps in the morning and before bed
I think you explain it better that Bas does, however, looking at you I don't think you are doing diaphragmatic breathing. [though whatever you are doing is effective too and it shows]. The diaphragmatic breathing, when you inhale your belly expands out and when you exhale the belly and chest pull towards your back, inward. Another thing Bas does is he practices breathing in one day and breathing out next day. That is when sitting upright one day he first exhales, then bends down to inhale. and comes up to repeat the same thing. Next day when upright he first inhales then bends down to exhale, I think his method talk more time. What you are doing is also very effective it shows. I got mine but need to start. I wonder the side without numbers is meant to be loose to let some air in/out or we better completely seal it like wrapping some foil to avoid air leak?
Been doing the Bas Method, seated. Solid work, but I play around with it too. Standing up, lying down, in a asian squat, I also did it in a cobra yoga pose. Really feel the pelvic floor expand on the cobra pose.
I used to ride my regular bike everywhere. But I got a job close to home, and bought an electric bike…and a scooter. For the last two years…almost three years I’ve been riding my electric ride’s EVERY WHERE. I don’t walk as much or ride my regular bike, now I’m having problems walking up one short, 12 steps up, flight of stairs, at work, without feeling so out of breath. I’m trying to start working out again, but it feels so challenging. I have NEVER had this issue…just 3 years ago I was running all over the tennis and Pickeball courts, now I get short of breath so easily…it’s frustrating. Will this device help get my breathing back on par. Thank you for your video.
Do you feel a pressure on your sternum when you suck the air in? I tried mine the other day and it feels like my sternum moves quite far into my chest on an inhale. Which I haven’t experienced before
My experience has been that it helps a ton with recovery between HIIT sets/boxing rounds. Maybe it is helping me not to gas while training but no clue. Is your experience similar? Would love a follow up video. Big fan of your channel!@@SENSEIJASON
@@nikitaw1982 it’s like 50 dollars and if it’s able to cure or greatly reduce your asthma as well as increase your aerobic capacity that’s well worth it

They are correct breathing through your mouth is not as good as the nose!! But we are only breathing through our mouth while doing the exercises!!..then you go back to breathing through your nose!( the reason we use our mouth is cuz we can inhale more faster).. most people mouth breath !!( As long as you only breath through your mouth during the exercises!! Nothing bad will happen!! .. keep up the good work !!..
I started on lvl 4 and did about 30 reps, i almost had a heart attack when I got up. I've been diaphragm breathing since i was a kid, but im pretty out of shape rn, definitely way more intense than i thought
Had one for 2yrs but haven't had chance to try it yet I have been too unwell, but this is the video a lot of us have been needing. It's visual, in-depth and honest. So thank you.

Learn how to do a valsalva maneuver. That will help you get the process for diaphragmatic breathing
The harder the resistance the more I drool on myself.

still using it? i wonder if could set up a catch bucket...small cup hanging of the valve side. Did it work for you?
Buying it to build more cardio and core. Can’t wait!
👍👍👍

Could i just ask, are you planning to use it seated or standing upright or using the seated bending forward methods that Bas Rutten suggests?

Can it improve emphysema?
Not sure
have you noticed a difference after 3 months?
Yessir, optimized all around
How’s it going bro? You still use?

What’s the difference between buying this and a cheap pvc valve joint? Adjust bore size and breath in and out
You can go ahead and put that big ole pvc pipe in your mouth 🍆 but I’m good😂
100 dollars cheaper. At that price should be 3 for one.
I guess the mouth piece

your strengthening diaphragm so can easily breath through the nose. still i'm not getting on at that price.

did you make a habit and noticed improvents?
how does the resistance compare to a drinking straw?
probably easier to just focus on the diaphragm and not worrying about inhaling the straw. still too expensive for me
Hey Thanks Sensei Jason for the demo just got today, I will let you know how it goes
