I received my pressure washer ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP over the weekend and decided to wait for the sun to come out before firing it up. Was needed to clean the deck. Our last pressure washer broke a couple of seasons ago, and I just hadn't replaced it yet. This one had great comments, so here we are. It was easy to assemble, and the trigger wand is comfortable and easy to hold for long periods of time. The pressure washer worked great and made quick work of the "TN North side algae" that inevitably grows every year. I also washed all of the deck furniture while I was at it... it all looks great! So far I am happy with this purchase. I plan to climb the ladder to wash siding over the next couple of days, will update if I have anything else to add after that!

I bought this little guy about a week ago and for the price, you cannot beat it! It took about 10 minutes to assemble and about 1 minute to hook up some water and start washing. I'm new to power washing things around the house and I wanted something easy and portable to clean my siding, deck, and a stone slab - and this thing is it. Needless to say, it tackled them all flawlessly with the default attachments. I'm actually looking forward to this coming weekend to finish the whole slab.
Thank you for this comment. I keep looking at this pressure washer because I think Josh really likes it. I too need it for around the house, my porch/driveway, fence and to keep my house looking clean. I'm trying to find one that will last. Again thank you and thank you Josh. 🙏

Amazon sold me a used one and others have reported the same problem. Box opened and resealed. Unbelievable, thank goodness because I bought a new one at h.d. for $75 less than Amazon's used hunk of poop
I have the version with the black housing. I had bought a Greenworks electric pressure washer from Lowes when my gas-powered unit went in for repair. The GreenWorks lasted about 4 months.. the pump seals went ( a light mist at first to a full-blown failure). I saw the Ryobi on sale for $80 at the "big orange box" and said "why not"? It works like a champ. I did save the framework that the Greenworks unit came on, I am making a small shelf to put the Ryobi on to make it easier to wheel around.
Hmmm, I bought the greenworks as well I believe it's 1700 about the same size as the Ryobi in video about three years ago and still getting er done. I must of got lucky. Lol. I only use for washing my car. No signs of failure yet. Hopefully I didn't hex myself! Lmao
Watched your review and bought it yesterday and loved it! It does amazing and get the job done 😎 After watching your content and buying things based off your reviews, I can trust your input because it’s honest.
I have the 2300 greenworks electric works great but the stalling at first sucks & lack of space I just got this 1800 for $75.. excited to try it out for detailing
I just purchased this Ryobi 1800 psi pressure washer based off this review. I didn't realize how tiny it was until I opened the box. I just used it today and so far I really like it. HOWEVER, I can easily see how the longer hose will be beneficial. So, I am going to get the Uberflex and the 2.5 nozzles that are both linked above in this video. I was also surprised by how quiet this unit was. I was using my neighbor's gas powered pressure washer but I like this Ryobi much better. Sure, it is NOT nearly as powerful as the gas powered washer but this little unit meets and exceeds my needs for washing cars and hosing off my cool deck and sidewalks.
Picked this up the other day and just used it for the first time today, and the gun broke. Took it apart to see if it was repairable, but it split where the plastic was fused together. Guess I'll be upgrading that like you suggested. 😁
I've been using this Pressure washer for the last few months ever since watching this video, I got mine off Amazon and is different color, this color is a Home Depot exclusive. It's been amazing and hasn't given me a bit of trouble. The turbo nozzle never gets used, the standard tips are perfect for car detailing and washing. I converted the gun over to a Ridge Washer snubby gun and it works perfectly. The standard handle I use with the Ryobi wheeled undercarriage washer however.
@@GarrettHamilton I'm using adams foam cannon! Which produced heavy thick snow foam with my gas pressure washer, Now that I've got this ryobi electric pressure washer I get suds more then anything.
@@WhenImGoneCa I recommend running about 1/3-1/2 of the jug with soap and then pour very hot water into the jug and then swirl to mix then begin spraying, I've had no problems with the knock off Adam's cannon to spray foam, works great.
I just wanted to express my gratitude for your helpful guidance in helping me set up my home car washing system. Thanks to your advice, I was able to make informed decisions on each component and spend money where it was necessary while saving money where possible. I decided to invest in the Griots "Boss" foam cannon and was impressed by the quality of foam and how it dispersed itself. I also picked the McKillan stubby gun and upgraded to quick connects, as you suggested. This left me with the task of finding a pressure washer to use solely for this purpose. After watching a video, I was confident that the Ryobi 1800 would be perfect for my needs. I bought a set with openings of .025 after understanding the tips and flow rates. With this setup, I was able to achieve excellent foam and an outstanding rinse with the 25-degree tip. In the end, I was able to create a system that fit my requirements and cost less than $250.00 for the entire setup. Thank you once again for your invaluable assistance.
Just got mine from home depot last weekend. Ordered the Uber flex hose in the stub gun and extensions from Harbor freight. The combo is wonderful works awesome. Highly recommended by several detailers in youtube videos
I really appreciate your videos. I knew nothing about pressure washers, the orfice sizes, gpm, tip degrees, psi etc. I would have purchased the wrong items for my new pressure washer without your help. Ordered the 2.5 orfice and other items (pressure washer, hose, gun, soap, etc…) you have recommended in your videos. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for this video I really appreciate it. I actually just purchased mine for 99$ at Home Depot and this video helped out with that decision. Amazing content keep it up!!!
Do you have any issues with backpressure or backflow when the gun is released? Mine backs up a lot to my backflow preventer when the nozzle is turned off
Josh, thanks for your advice.. picked up one of these and its flat out fantastic.. quiet and does the job nicely with the uber flex hose and stubby gun and ryobi 15 degree nozzle... I use a spot free rinse tank and its a joy to wash my car again.. next up the MJJC foam cannon.. Cant wait! Thanks again!
which foam cannon are you currently using with this setup and how would you grade the foam quality? I bought the small nozzle he suggests and have an Amazon foam cannon. The soap/foam output is pretty poor. Really watery.
Honestly i love ryobi and thankfully i have never had them break on me for basic home stuff. Some small car stuff and what not. Love the video. thanks for the info!
New to car detailing and quickly became obsessed with it just picked up my first set up based from your reviews so thank you . Don’t really know which nozzles are good when detailing .
Yeah I actually bought a big gas engine powered pressure washer and then literally the first and only time that I ever used it the dang hose touched the hot muffler and sprung a leak but then I managed to grab one of these Ryobi electric washers and I haven't even considered using that bug cumbersome and labor intensive gas washer since! I absolutely love this little thing for washing my motorcycle, quads, boats, my house and driveway it does it all and does it quite well too! All in the size of a standard car battery it is a no brainer, very highly recommended
Awesome! Yea the gas pressure washers are way more powerful and are very useful in situations, but for cleaning vehicles and small tasks around the house these are amazing
Thank you for the wonderful reviews and suggestions. I just bought this on sale at HD for $99, plus got an extra $25 off for applying for and using their HD CC. You said you were going to link a video for a cheaper Foam Canon Video, but I don't see it. Please respond here with a link to that video. Again, thank you for the great content. It's been so educational for a newbie like me. I was even quoting your content and showing your videos to the HD guys that were helping me. Lol.
I just purchased one Saturday and the foam did just as you showed so I ordered the mjjc foam cannon wish I did move so fast would have purchased from you. I will be ordering from your website very informative. 10⭐️
Thank you for this video, I have been looking to start a little power washing business doing car but couldn’t find the right one, when I found this video I instantly fell in love with the PW, thank you.
I just finished watching your video and ordered that exact configuration from the get go, the Ryobi washer, uberflex hose and Mjjc cannon, cant wait to try it
How do you think 3/8" diameter 50ft hose would change the psi and gpm? Also which would you pick, Active 2.0 or this? Obviously there's a price difference as Active 2.0 is $350 and this is on sale at home Depot for $99. Is the extra gpm in the Active 2.0 worth the extra cost?
Which would you recommend,I'll be using it for car washing, but which one you think would be best, the $100-1600/$160-1800 or the $200- 2000,maybe the 2000psi with the 2.5 or 3. Tips to keep the psi a little better?
Just fyi those "soap blasters" that these come with are meant more for things like washing a driveway or your house. So you can put some driveway cleaner or house wash solution into the little blaster and have a water/soap mix that you can squirt on things before rinsing with the regular nozzles or turbo nozzle.
Josh I agree with gpm rinses off more than psi. But what about if your mobile on gravity wouldn’t it be the other way around as water is limited. I guess you can always ask the customer to use their water if you have that option if your tank gets too low. But the professional thing is to try to have enough water to complete the job
So we have brands like Ryobi that advertises the actual working pressure and GPM, but Active VE52 advertises a PSI way higher than their working PSI (1800 vs 1100). The whole industry needs some consistency in how they report numbers.
Not a professional detailer...just my personal vehicles. I opted for the Ryobi about a month ago and so far very pleased. I did scrap the included bits and pieces and went with a MacKillans foam cannon with swivel handle and an aftermarket flexible hose. I did need an adapter to convert the Ryobi 'out' nipple to accept the standard hose fitting size but other than that, nothing else. I just couldn't see spend hundreds for a washer, or $1000+ for a Kranzle for my limited use. This little thing works just fine for my intended use.
So between the Ryobi 1800 or 1900 which one do you prefer for washing cars. Like you vids. I’ve already got the spray wand and foam cannon along with the Uber flex hose. Now I’m looking for the best pressure washer for doing cars. I have a large gas pressure washer but looking for something a little more portable.
Hey! Came across your video when doing research bought the pressure washer and now I’m back here looking at the links! And subscribed to your emails - love the content! Can’t wait to browse the website also thank you!!
So I'm only going to use this for car washing, because I have a much bigger gas powered pressure washer for other things around the house. I just needed something easier to grab and able to not tear up a car. I'm a little concerned about the GPM but if you think putting that bigger. Orifice will give me enough GPM to rinse off the car, then I would get this. Just really nervous about that.
I have this pressure washer. Its pretty awesome. Took off years worth of shit on my vinyl siding. Its a little slower going since you need to be very close to the siding with the tip to get the deepest cleaning, - but this machine is so small, so convenient, and so easy to use - theres really NOTHING to not like. I bought the entire set of quick connects and a cheap $25 stubby wand - its perfect. I have a big gas John Deere pressure washer and I’d rather use this. Who wants to listen to that gas one running, and i can walk away from this without worrying about anything for as long as I need or want to.
I bought one of those little Craftsman suitcase pressure washers 1800s first one started leaking took it back to Lowe's second one lasted about a month and started leaking now I just picked up this Ryobi at Home Depot for $99 see how long it lasts
Pressure, flow rate, and orifice size are all related. If you have two of the three variables you should be able to find the third. It looks like Ryobi did their rating with the 1.7 orifice.
Super thorough and detailed review. Thanks! I'm going to pick one of these up tomorrow. Will look into other foam cannon options and possibly a longer hose after I start using it some
Seems like a decent little unit I bought a foam cannon looks identical to yours I put a 1.1 mm orifice in it as well it foams pretty good but maybe I’m using the wrong soap
I was thinking of buying this for some mold and dirt on my house not my car. Didn't hear any mention about using if for the house or sidewalks. I don't care about the 1600 only the review on the 1800 that the video was titled. I can wash my car without a power washer. Thanks.
I got the Ryobi factory refurbished 1800 for $56.99 plus tax and $9.99 shipping from Direct Tools Factory Outlet. I received it today only 2 days after ordering even though they said it might not be shipped out by Ryobi for 8-10 days. It works perfectly and did not have a scratch on it other than a small scratch on the hose cover. They had the 1600 for around $35. (I am in now way associated with this seller and have never ordered from them before.). It arrived from Ryobi in a plain cardboard box. The hose and other parts were all packaged in sealed plastic bags.
I came here to watch how this machine use to work cause recently I did returned to store one to get a refund for burn motor. I did used it just twice in les than a month. I was so trusted in Rioby tools but now I`m gonna think it twice before buy. The pressure washer works great the times I did use it. until stop working and smell like burned out. I leaves this comment just to a advise and put a warranty if you planning to buy one.
Great show so informative. Is there a site I can go to bundle the hose, short gun and the foam cannon. And what's the dimensions 1/4, 3/8 prefer. Again a great show always looking forward to watching new segments 👍
So I just did this test with a 2.5 orifice and I got 1.325 gpm. With the 3.0 I got 1.435 gpm. I’m using the nozzles from Amazon you recommended sooo I’m wondering if maybe you have the orifice size mixed up?? I don’t have a pressure gauge unfortunately to be 100%

I have this exact pressure washer and Uberflex hose but how can I connect them both to a 3/8” Cox Reel hose reel??? This seems like such an obvious question that nobody can answer! Help? 😩
I purchased the Flexilla hose as recommended for this same pressure washer but it did not maintain the same GPM or pressure as the original Ryobi hose. The 50' was too much for the pressure washer.
I just bought this after my green works finally died on me. Actually found a black max branded hose that is black but clearly has the “Uber flex” copyright markings along the hose. Saved a few bucks
@@imjoshv Got one of them plus the Uberflex hose and 2.5 nozzles. Next up ... quick connect kit in stainless if I can find something less pricey than the McKillans kit. Appreciate all the content you're creating and super helpful info!
Hi, I love your reviews because they are very thorough! I have a couple questions.... First, Im considering using this PW as a small sewer jetter, fit smaller drains such as lav drains and kitchen drains... for kitchen drains, it would be helpful to use warm/hot tap water tob help breakdown the grease, but I see this unit says "Cold Water pressure washer", will it hurt anything within the unit to use hot tap water under approximately 115°F? Next question, I have a boat that stays "In Water" for 6 months out of the year, is there a foam soap that is environmentally friendly that would take the typical dead bugs/bird poop/dust and grime, that won't remove wax (and might have a liquid wax built in)? Thanks in advance!
I think this might be the unit for me. Going to start a garbage can cleaning company soon. Also man you are super good at what you do. Your knowledge and expertise shines through on all of your videos. Keep killing it
Ok, every product works good the first day that you buy it, and so far I have been very disappointed with Ryobi products, every thing I have bought from Ryobi has failed during the start of the 2nd year. My Ryobi screw gun failed at the beginning of the 2nd year, but the gun I bought afterwards a Black and Decker Quantum Hammer gun (same price as my Ryobi) is still working after 18 years, only thing wrong with the Black and Decker is it is a Beast for weight. So last year I bought a Skill, which is powerful but don't have the hammer feature, but I like the quick change feature for bits just push them in until you feel the click no need to tighten the bit in nice light gun. Now the 2nd thing I bought from Ryobi was a weed whacker with attachment feature, Used it twice and then the gas motor failed, so from what I see Ryobi sells you cheap junk, I don't even want to talk about their Table Saws, ever watch a blade come flying out (the shaft broke) I have, Now after reviewing this do you think this will hold up as long as my Harbor Freight Pressure washer 1200 psi ($39.95) it finally started acting up this year, I bought it in 1995, still works but I turn it on and have to take off the pressure hose for the pressure motor to start then screw on the pressure hose used it almost every year to clean the driveways, house and even used it to dig the trenches for piping for a water pipe (8 inches deep and about 48 ft. long) so we could have a front yard water hose. Now one good thing about Ryobi that I found out, after your screw gun breaks don't throw out the charger or batteries, I am still using them today, I soldered on some wire with quick connects and use them for my Black and Decker weed wackers but really would of enjoyed using the different attachments.
Your videos are very helpful. Especially for people like me who is looking to buy a power washer. My Sun Joe broke and I'm looking to replace it. I have a question, which one would you go for? This Ryobi 1800 psi or the Craftsman 1700 psi portable pressure washer like this Ryobi. Thanks again for your videos.
USE on AC coils!! MY AC was Freezing up! Coils were dirty from 30 years of Arizona dust!!! I got on the roof! At my age, not so smart. But AC charged a service charge! Years of money wasted on lies! It was just dirt in the fins!!! Thank you! tell others it cleans AC fins GREAT! "O" let me say, a Stainless steel dog brush will clean and straighten those aluminum fins.

Lmao
Just got this and love it. Use it with my foam cannon and couldnt be happier. $110 at home depot cant beat it
Watched your review and bought it yesterday and loved it! It does amazing and get the job done 😎 After watching your content and buying things based off your reviews, I can trust your input because it’s honest.
Thank you Josh for everything. I watch your videos all the time and I learn so much from you. 🙏
I have the 2300 greenworks electric works great but the stalling at first sucks & lack of space I just got this 1800 for $75.. excited to try it out for detailing
So which Ryobi would you recommend, the 1600, 1800, 1900 or 2000? Or the Dewalt 2100? I don’t mind the budget, I want it for mobile detailing.
Which one did you get?
1800 all the way
@@Legendary62548 Why?
Home Depot currently has this unit online for $89..without the soap cannon accessory.
So I just bought this the other day. Perfect timing. Definitely will be upgrading too. Thanks!
I cannot find a hose that fits the back of the machine any help???
Decided to purchase this unit because of your extremely informative video. Josh, this thing is AMAZING! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PHENOMENAL CONTENT!
how has it held up?
@@helsonly722 Still running strong!!!!
Does this use the m22 connector style to swap over the gun
Did your foam cannon not foam up like it used to like mine?
@@WhenImGoneCa I have a different brand of foam cannon and works just fine
I’ve had this one for a year or so and love it, no issues whatsoever.
had mine for 2 years or so and it no longer work. wouldn't recommend it.
@@lloydearle4377 they don’t last forever. I believe they’re rated for around 150 hours
It’s got a 3 year warranty so you are good 👍
Just got mine from home depot last weekend. Ordered the Uber flex hose in the stub gun and extensions from Harbor freight. The combo is wonderful works awesome. Highly recommended by several detailers in youtube videos
It works well. A little pressure washing experience and a lot of old equipment goes a long way though. Good luck to all the newbies
I got this one for my father in law as a birthday gift he loves it.
Thanks so much!
Thank you for this video I really appreciate it. I actually just purchased mine for 99$ at Home Depot and this video helped out with that decision. Amazing content keep it up!!!
Do you have any issues with backpressure or backflow when the gun is released? Mine backs up a lot to my backflow preventer when the nozzle is turned off
How is it holding up
Josh, thanks for your advice.. picked up one of these and its flat out fantastic.. quiet and does the job nicely with the uber flex hose and stubby gun and ryobi 15 degree nozzle...
Do you have any issues with backpressute when the gun is released? Mine puts a lot of pressure upstream
Just got mines for Father’s Day! Thanks for the detailed info! Just gotta get all the extra parts you recommended.
Glad to see yours makes the same high-pitch noise mine does. Safe to say I will be switching to another model
Thanks for the review, I am picking one up tomorrow. can't wait to try it.
Which would you recommend,I'll be using it for car washing, but which one you think would be best, the $100-1600/$160-1800 or the $200- 2000,maybe the 2000psi with the 2.5 or 3. Tips to keep the psi a little better?
Great video and great review.
That pressure looks like a fantastic value.
Please keep the videos coming
Your review helped me choose this power washer for cleaning . It's been great. Thanks 👍
Awesome!
This little thing works just fine for my intended use.
can u link the adapter
So between the Ryobi 1800 or 1900 which one do you prefer for washing cars. Like you vids. I’ve already got the spray wand and foam cannon along with the Uber flex hose. Now I’m looking for the best pressure washer for doing cars. I have a large gas pressure washer but looking for something a little more portable.
Glad to see the little better quality hose! Great review 👏!
Hey! Came across your video when doing research bought the pressure washer and now I’m back here looking at the links! And subscribed to your emails - love the content! Can’t wait to browse the website also thank you!!
Thank you for always creating this kind of videos
Nice pressure washer and great review, thanks Josh 👍😁
Which would you recommend between this one and the $99 Craftsman?
VERY IMPRESSED WITH MINE. USED DIFFERENT TIPS. WORKS GREAT FOR MY PURPOSES.
Pressure, flow rate, and orifice size are all related. If you have two of the three variables you should be able to find the third.
It looks like Ryobi did their rating with the 1.7 orifice.
Super thorough and detailed review. Thanks! I'm going to pick one of these up tomorrow. Will look into other foam cannon options and possibly a longer hose after I start using it some
This is the only option now since 1600 got discontinued. Would you take this or craftsmen? Are the warranties similar if bought from Home Deport?
Seems like a decent little unit I bought a foam cannon looks identical to yours I put a 1.1 mm orifice in it as well it foams pretty good but maybe I’m using the wrong soap
get the Adams soap! The results is top of it's class!
@@Tarikcando yup using adams and mr pink now thanks ☺️
I was thinking of buying this for some mold and dirt on my house not my car. Didn't hear any mention about using if for the house or sidewalks. I don't care about the 1600 only the review on the 1800 that the video was titled. I can wash my car without a power washer. Thanks.
I ordered one of these today. Due to be delivered in 2 days. I like the new gray color better than the Ryobi green on the earlier model.
I had the 1600 psi just bought this one. Didn't fit my trailer set up the same just a bit bigger
You literally blew my eyes out in the 1st 5 minutes with all these focuses
Hey thanks man! What a great review. You explained everything that we need to know about this product and some other options too. Again thank you!
I don’t have a pressure gauge unfortunately to be 100%
Thank you!!!! AC roof cooling fins! Unit over 30 years old! GETTLE made in Phoenix AZ. Long out of business. they made a DAMMED ac unit. 30 years old! Cools great! AC lied to me! replace the unit??? Watching your Your RUclips! Went up on the roof! Spray bottle of soap and garden hose! Unit has improved! Bought online Home Depot. AC LYING to me all along. Not once did any of them say the fins were dirty!!!!! If you can pass this on?
I have this exact pressure washer and Uberflex hose but how can I connect them both to a 3/8” Cox Reel hose reel??? This seems like such an obvious question that nobody can answer! Help? 😩
Thanks for the suggestions !!!
I purchased the Flexilla hose as recommended for this same pressure washer but it did not maintain the same GPM or pressure as the original Ryobi hose. The 50' was too much for the pressure washer.
Thank you for the great info and testing, big help for me to buy my first Water pressure.
I just bought this after my green works finally died on me. Actually found a black max branded hose that is black but clearly has the “Uber flex” copyright markings along the hose. Saved a few bucks
is it the one from walmart? How do you like it so far?
@@KrisRocks09 no these are at Home Depot. It works great!
@@tinorodriguez89 thanks for the reply! I’ll check it out
Might consider buying this I currently have a 4000 PSI gasoline pressure washer which is awesome however it’s sometimes too loud for my neighbor
Can that pump durably handle the higher pressure from using the 1.10 orifice in the foam gun?
The Ryobi 1800 is on sale at Home Depot for $99 now (was $159 a few weeks ago). Saw them at the front of the store along with other sale items.
Just saw that today!!
@@imjoshv Got one of them plus the Uberflex hose and 2.5 nozzles. Next up ... quick connect kit in stainless if I can find something less pricey than the McKillans kit. Appreciate all the content you're creating and super helpful info!
You can get that plus the surface cleaning for $120 online at home depot
Not gonna lie - based on this review, I bought one of these today
Keep killing it
Looking into this unit for the same exact reason bro! Good luck on your journey
Awesome! have you started your garbage can cleaning service yet?
I'm checking this one too now. compact and less expensive then the ones I was looking at.
Great review Josh. Enjoy your channel.
Can you recommend a long wash wand to replace the one that comes with unit.
FYI - That 2.5 nozzle did hit 1100 PSI after a few seconds pressurized.
Using my unit for the 1st time tomorrow. Let's goooo
Thank you
For this useful video review
Quick useful info
Much appreciated. One of the better vids on yt
Just got mine unit 2 weeks ago, the hose was kinked in the packaging from the factory. Total bummer but I guess I'll just buy a new hose
Impressive foam for a lower powered pressure washer.
Just got one at Home Depot for 100$🤙🏼🤙🏼
USE on AC coils!!
Hi thanks for the good video what orifice size do you have in when using your foam cannon in this video thank you
Informative and honest review. Good stuff! Thanks man!
What’s the difference between this one and the one with the black housing that’s also 1800 psi?
I wondered that too
1600 vs 1800? Which is better considering they are both sitting at 99.00 rn. Which one would you recommend?
Great vid… will I need another nozzle from the 1.7 that comes with the Ryobi unit? Will use it for washing my vehicle
Guys. I just picked one of these units up at Home Depot after my Active unit gave up the ghost one MONTH after the warrantee expired. . The outer layer on the hose that comes with the unit TORE the first time I used it. FYI.
