@@philclarke3203 The marks are to show if a tyre has come loose and moved on the wheel. I think class 47 were the first I saw with them and were put on after a 47 had lightly dragging brakes which heated and expanded the tyre enough for it to come loos on the wheel resulting in a derailment. These days I have seen them on coaching stock as well as locomotives.
I caught flying Scotsman a day before that at stoke priors and on Friday 21st I’ve caught d9000 at atherstone and this is the first time I’ve get to see that loco in green livery and carrying D9000

Did you notice the white marks on the loco wheel tyres rotating on both locos near the end of the video as they pulled away. Never seen that before
Yes, I've seen it before. Not sure exactly, what it's for, but to mark the position of the wheels.
