From start to finish 💯 I am loving and appreciating two black men with a mindset like this. It is very refreshing and growing.

Good conversation! A woman raised in a 2-parent home does not make her any better. You can have a father that is present in the home but emotionally absent.

💡”Because if I pay attention to main stream media, I’ll miss the girl next door that really could be my wife, that look just like me…That can relate to me, understand me, and we have a cultural foundation and basis.” - Caleb Curl💡

Tony, that’s so interesting that you said that about Madea. The podcast you were on a while back with the two young men had an episode recently where a young man told his story about being delivered from homosexuality. He’s now married with a child. He came from a two parent Christian household. He was exposed at his aunt’s house when he was 8 years old. His cousins had RuPaul’s Drag Race on TV & he got curious. Eventually started sneaking and dressing up as a woman, then turned full blown DL. Eventually came out, but had an encounter with the Lord and came back to Christ.

A lot of the negative things on social media make me thankful for my wife. I’m glad we got it right early versus this influx of social media influence.

Ultimately, the foundation has to be God. If my wife didn’t had a relationship with God. My marriage wouldn’t work.

I remember years ago I asked a girl who had come from the 2 parent household that question. She said our parents are busy and we just do whatever we want because they're so busy making money..

28:30 thanks for saying this Tony. Children have no control on being raised in a 2 parent household or not so that shouldn’t count against them when dating as adults.

I was in a two parent household for 10yrs. I begged my mom to leave my dad because he would physically abuse her and us. He did drugs and sold drugs, he would put us out, he smoked cigs and drank. He was verbally abusive, mentally and emotionally abusive. So, it doesn't matter how many parents in the home. Everything my daddy and mom did we vowed to do the opposite.

I come from a single parent household, and was very grounded. My mom was very strict. And because of that, i was confident that i was going to be okay after I divorced my ex. My kids are thriving. I learned independence very early. Men being in the household (from what ive seen unfortunately) has only been chaos and toxicity. (I know this is not the truth, but it is what i grew up seeing).

“Training up a child in the way they should go….” Is critical & doing this before a child is about 7 years old is important because most of our foundation is set by 5 years of age. (Not saying impossible after that but it’s harder) Many people don’t realize that. A Christ foundation at a young age will typically bring you back to that foundation if you veer off when coming of age & you’re being influenced by some of the wrong things society /media presents. A lot of us girls we’re crushing on Thug types & characters like Kane & O-Dog (Menace To Society). Even music , I mostly liked light hearted & or conscious rap music but also got into a little profane rap for a moment. However because I was taught Christ as a small child most of what I was hearing especially misogynistic material didn’t sit well & I eventually grew out of it all. You can’t pay me to be with a practicing thug or to listen to profane music for the sake of vibing to it. My Godly foundation definitely saved me!

That's why I don't want my son to be a rapper but that's what he's trying to record a song now. I told him to just be a producer but he won't listen. I told him majority of rappers are dying and killing people.
