It's LEG DAY!!! Working on lower body strength today and focusing on power and proper form. These lower body exercises will target the legs and glutes creating strength, definition and tone. Performing 3 sets of each exercise is key for building strength and muscular endurance. Repetitive? yes, extremely effective? YES! Using just dumbbells today so you can easily do this workout from home! Choose dumbbells that will challenge you but allow you to maintain control for about 10-12 reps. Let's do it team!!

This may be an unpopular opinion but repeat sets are the BEST for strength training to get that toned lower body. It allows us to progressively overload and lift heavier on succeeding rounds.
Thank you heather for finally doing a straight set x 3 for leg days, definitely not missing the gym anymore.

I agree at least 3 repeats helps you progressively overload without using heavier weights, then trains muscle me,pry to accept heavier weights.

LOVED this workout, really worked my legs and I felt great for it afterwards (although I couldn't move for a few days haha) On the topic of repeats, I normally hate them, but I think repeating each exercise 3 times in a row is WAY more manageable that doing a whole circuit and then having to repeat the whole thing again. I personally find it so mentally challenging when I know what's coming haha. This was the perfect balance because, as others have said, repeats are surely the best thing if you really want to improve your strength, but these are the kind of repeats I can deal with! Would love more like this, thank you Heather!! xx

Thank you for the video.. I was looking for a 3 rep leg day and I found you.. keep up the enthusiasm for making videos like this.. please make a video of 3 repetitions, each repetition 1 minute wo and 30 seconds rest
This was brilliant, I tend to find women fitness trainers, even when using weights, do more cardio HIIT than strength training but building muscle with heavier weights is so important to help sculpt the body. I only had kettlebells but they worked fine, I used a variety dependent on the exercise: 12KG (26 Ib), 16KG (35 Ib) or 20KG (44Ib).
I started watching this video back during quarantine. I couldn’t even finish the video. It has now become an integral part of my fitness journey, to the point that I now use this video as a warm up to my leg days in the gym. Keep going!! It gets easier and then when it gets easier, go ahead and increase the weights and make it hard again. You can do hard things!

Honestly one of the most wholesome leg strength workout videos I've come across, from warmup, 3 sets to stretching, absolute perfection. I've always been pretty active and sporty, I workout 5 days a week trying different youtubers and this by far is the best lower body video I've come across!

Oh the other hand I'm not a fan of cats at all, I struggle to look at the workout when it's thete, but that's just me, the workouts on their own are so effective for weight loss and toning

IMO, the best leg day workout EVER. Back to basic is the best. I love the basic compound focus movements throughout the video. Will be doing this for leg day for the next 6 to 8 weeks!

I couldn't sleep so I did my daily workout at 1 am. I was thinking of how grateful I am for these workouts! I had my 3rd baby April 27, 2020. Prebaby weight was 145-150 I was a runner forever! But then I found Heather in an attempt to regain strength and I'm addicted!! Ive completed 2 rounds of the 12 week program and now I pick one of her workouts each day. It's perfect because these are at home workouts I can do while my kids sleep, my body has curves it's never had and I am around 137-140 lbs!
THIS! My new go to Leg Day video, no nonsense, great music and love the cat! I had to alternate the lunges with each round instead of three straight on each side, but otherwise exactly what I was looking for in a Leg Day routine!

Grateful for this video. I have a shoulder and back issue and resting them for a month. This video has been my go-to and I love how the same set is repeated 3 times (at first my legs are shaking so bad lol)

I already repeated this workout for 3x now.. i made this as my progression workout for the legs. I need to go down to low weights since i skipped a month of workout and binge eating the holidays last december. So far, i am already adding up weights to some of the routines so.. what im saying is, i LOVE this lower body workout. It is just what i need to kickstart 2021. Thank you Heather!
